Stunning property, amazing room and fantastic staff. Only downside was not being able to get in the carpark but I got a spot on the road and the car was fine.

Wonderful pub with castle and large rooms. The food was excellent and the view at breakfast was superb. The only thing was that the hot water is on demand electric but didn't work very well.

We had the pleasure of staying one night at The Castle at Edgehill and from the moment we arrived, it felt like something truly special. The setting is breathtaking—perched high above the countryside with panoramic views that are impossible to tire of. Dinner that evening was absolutely spot-on. Every dish was a delight, beautifully presented and packed with flavour. The menu celebrates quality ingredients, and you can tell the chefs genuinely care about what they’re creating. Breakfast the next morning didn’t disappoint either—fresh, generous, and the perfect start to the day. But what really stood out to us was the team. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. A real credit to the place. If you're looking for somewhere with charm, character, incredible food, and the kind of service that leaves a lasting impression, we’d wholeheartedly recommend The Castle at Edgehill. We’ll definitely be back.

Such a beautiful place, staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. The views from the garden and dining room are stunning. Food lovely and enjoyed the cocktails. The garnish was gathered from the garden by the barman. It was a hot weekend and our room was wonderfully cool and we had a good night's sleep. Minor issue with the bathroom but hopefully they can be fixed. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends too.

Beautiful grounds, great pub garden for a sunny day and incredible sunset views. Free breakfast included is a great touch. The room was really cute and comfy, staff were really polite and helpful, lovely venue.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 1 night. My children loved staying in a castle! The staff was very nice, especially the bartender who checked us into our room. Beautiful views of the area from the dining room. We stayed during the weekend so had the pleasure of the full English Breakfast. The suite was updated nicely with the exception of the flooring. And the shower caulking was in dire need of replacement as it was black all around the shower pan. We did appreciate the sofa bed and cot being set up prior to our arrival and my kids loved the free juice in the fridge. The parking could be challenging as they have a small lot and was full when we arrived, although this was during the dinner rush so probably a big part of it. Definitely a unique stay.

We stayed at the Castle for the 2 nights before my wedding at Hadsham Farm Weddings. We ate dinner in the pub/restaurant, and had continental and cooked breakfast. The food was delicious on all occasions, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful. We've already recommended the hotel to others to stay and we will definitely be back

The staff couldnt do enough to be helpful. We had a tripple room which was spotless and incredibly beautiful with old features and an incredibly well stocked fridge with complimentry items. The view from the breakfast room was panoramic over edgehill. One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayex.

Overall an enjoyable stay; but 1 - check-in time is totally inflexible (we flew in overnight and we’re up for over 24h when we arrived, exhausted) and 2 - the bathroom had an unpleasant smell (a bit like cat urine?). Once checked in though, the room was spacious and comfortable. The grounds unique and historic and the staff was great!

Friendly Staff. Quirky and lovely historical building. Great walk explained and to be had. Fantastic food. We had breakfast an each morning and lunch one day. Comfortable bed. Spacious room. Room needed some redecoration. No bath and very low pressure in shower.

Food at the restaurant was good but the quality of the room, its cleanliness and condition was very poor. Black mould in the shower, terrible water pressure from a poor electric shower which tripped the electric. The vinyl flooring was not secured so was torn and bunched up in areas, the shower riser rail was broken and it is in no way worth the £101.00 fee. Nice location and the staff were pleasant but somewhere that could be great is just run down and poorly maintained. Food was very good in the restaurant but the room let it down.

We stayed at The Castle to attend a wedding in the area. All staff were friendly and efficient. Dinner and breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. Our room was clean and comfortable but could have benefited from a better facility for hanging clothes. A quirky building with wonderful views.

We stayed at the Castle Hotel last night, and while the location and Castle Superior Suite were beautiful and spacious, the check-in experience left much to be desired. After a four-hour drive, we were hoping for a warm welcome, but the receptionist was unwelcoming, simply asking for our name and signature without any friendly interaction. Despite this, the overall stay was pleasant, and my daughter loved the room.

Following an unsuccessful scroll through Airbnb we had a look on Expedia and stumbled across Castle at Edgehill with late availability. We booked the room with the four poster bed which we learned was named Rupert. On arrival we were greeted by bar staff and shown to our room. Our room was in the turret. The stairs were steep to access the room (wouldnt recommend for anyone with mobility challenges). The views from the room were incredible and the team had left a breakfast hamper aswell as milk, juices and yoghurt in the mini fridge. The room was a great size, clean and had everything we needed. We had dinner both nights in the restaurant and the food & service was exceptional. We had a brilliant stay and are already planning our return. Thanks Castle at Edgehill for a brilliant stay!

Best way to describe this stay is unique. The suite was spacious, enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Basic continental breakfast (croissant, cereal, fruit yogurt, orange juice) was provided in a little box, and were able to eat in our room. This helped a lot with having one child with ASD. Staff were friendly, best that I have had in a UK hotel so far. Would have loved to spent more time here, so could experience the restaurant.

Loved the room and the views were amazing. There was quite a lot of noise from room above on first night. Large room but needed a table to eat breakfast and do some work. TV was a little small to watch from bed; text was small for information. Food in restaurant was really good. Service delightful.

This castle did not disappoint! From the outside it appears like a "real" castle (because it is/was). But the inside has modern decor and amenities. The beds were super comfortable. Check in/out was easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was AMAZING! I have 3 teen daughters and they had a fun time doing a castle photo shoot. So many cute nooks and scenery. We highly recommend this property!!!

We loved the idea of staying in a castle and that in itself was magical. We stayed in the Cromwell Suite which is big. The kids loved the extra room to roam. The high ceiling in the living/2nd bed area was nice and contributed to the majestic feel.There were however a few things that could have been better. When we got there they did not have the room ready because they thought there were only 2 of us. Our reservation was for 2 adults and 2 kids. When we walked in the room the housekeeper seemed upset that she was having to make the 2nd bed and annoyed at us for being in there even though it was already 6pm, past check in time. They also only had breakfast for 2 we ended up having to ask for me but only got a few more things. Speaking of the breakfast, it was continental only. No real place to sit we had to sit on the carpet and the kids being kids kept dropping crumbs all over the place. It didn’t seem liked the place was vacuumed daily and I kept finding old crumbs every morning. This could easily be remedied by providing a hot breakfast in the restaurant that is just down stairs. Also we stayed in the Cornwall Suite which is right above the bar. In the room with the bedroom it is really really noisy. Some mornings the music was turned on really loud starting at 8am and wouldn’t be turned off until 10pm. The other suite that must be behind is also easily heard if those guests are loud. There’s so much stomping up and down the stairs. The beds were lousy they dip in the

When we walked in the room the housekeeper seemed upset that she was having to make the 2nd bed and annoyed at us for being in there even though it was already 6pm, past check in time. They also only had breakfast for 2 we ended up having to ask for me but only got a few more things. Speaking of the breakfast, it was continental only. No real place to sit we had to sit on the carpet and the kids being kids kept dropping crumbs all over the place. It didn’t seem liked the place was vacuumed daily and I kept finding old crumbs every morning. This could easily be remedied by providing a hot breakfast in the restaurant that is just down stairs. Also we stayed in the Cornwall Suite which is right above the bar. In the room with the bedroom it is really really noisy. Some mornings the music was turned on really loud starting at 8am and wouldn’t be turned off until 10pm. The other suite that must be behind is also easily heard if those guests are loud. There’s so much stomping up and down the stairs. The beds were lousy they dip in the

The room was cosy and warm lots of little extras and nice touches. Just across a paved area from the restaurant and bar, but no noise at night. Food in the restaurant was good, have been here for a meal before and always enjoyed it. I was there for a wedding and the lady in charge was so helpful and couldn’t have done more

The staff couldnt do enough to be helpful. We had a tripple room which was spotless and incredibly beautiful with old features and an incredibly well stocked fridge with complimentry items. The view from the breakfast room was panoramic over edgehill. One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayex.

Tomik was a friendly and professional host who stayed for our late arrival and provided a warm welcome to the castle. Our stay was only short but everything was there including free continental breakfast. The turret had great views over the countryside and could park the car in front. Recommend to everyone for an experience of staying in a castle.

Overall an enjoyable stay; but 1 - check-in time is totally inflexible (we flew in overnight and we’re up for over 24h when we arrived, exhausted) and 2 - the bathroom had an unpleasant smell (a bit like cat urine?). Once checked in though, the room was spacious and comfortable. The grounds unique and historic and the staff was great!

The food was delicious on all occasions, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful. We've already recommended the hotel to others to stay and we will definitely be back

Historic and quaint. Not the place to come if you want modern or a night life. You’re 8 miles from town with no easy way to get there. (We took a taxi). But it was beautiful and exactly what we were looking forward to—the English countryside.

A lovely place to stay the night of uour a couple who are wanting a quaint experience or travling the local area. Not a great place for anyone traveling professionaly. Breakast is a bowl off bran flakes in a box brought upto your room.... not exactly great, but place and staff where lovely, helpful and very nice just not set up for travling professionals

This is a very unusual and enjoyable place to stay. An old castle turret on the edge of a cliff with a few rooms. Parking is difficult and there are steep stairs to some of the rooms. The location is lovely with sweeping views down across the vale where the Battle of Edgehill took place. There is a large beer garden. The bar is characterful and comfy selling beers made 3 miles away and a gin made in the top floor of the turret. Both are delicious. The real star is the restaurant. Delicious beautifully cooked food from local ingredients. Excellent reasonably priced wine list. Both food and wine served by friendly attentive staff. Continental breakfast is limited but good. A gem!

We booked a room here last minute as the property we had booked previously canceled us out of nowhere. What a gem Edgehill is! So glad we were forced to find it. The staff were so incredibly kind & helpful (Sam especially took great care of us) and the property was beautiful, quaint, and set up very nicely. The food & cocktails were amazing. Will def be back!
