The George Carvery

Very clean and tidy place and very safe

This is a beautiful hotel in a very picturesque setting. Car parking was free and plenty of spaces and a quick phone call to the owner and in you go. I was looking forward to the best carvery in Yorkshire during my stay but I stayed on a Tuesday night and I hadn't noticed the carvery only runs Thursday to Sunday, but that was an oversight on my part nothing to do with the host. Host was very welcoming and pleasant and provided me with my room key and the code to access the front door should I go outside. The room was lovely, very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, a great size and an en suite shower and toilet which were also spotless. There were plenty of tea coffee sugar and milk to choose from and a couple of biscuits plus 2 bottles of water which I used to make my Yorkshire tea, lovely. Bed was fantastic, really comfortable mattress, I even sneaked a peek at what brand it was, of course it was a Hypnos. Shower was great the next morning after a wonderful peaceful sleep. Couldn't fault this place everything was great and would recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in this area.
