Overall, the resort is absolutely beautiful. The pool is the definite highlight of the resort. The heat in August made the ocean almost unbearable (91F) and the beach as well. The restaurants were good, but pricey as you would expect on a resort. Good options for breakfast outside of the resort. Doc's Diner was awesome. There was also a roadside little breakfast truck that served the best breakfast sandwiches across the street from the resort. There isn't much in terms of nice dinner places outside of the resort, so we ended up staying on the resort most nights. Sol is the better of the two and has a nice view. The housekeeping is the biggest downfall of the resort. We didn't have our room cleaned once. Most days the housekeeping cart would make it through the first 6 rooms and that is it. We were at the end of the hall, so they never made it us and we would grab clean towels off the cart. We put in multiple requests to have it done with no luck. If they didn't make it to our room by 5 it was quitting time. Rest of the staff was amazing and accommodating. Truly some really nice people on the resort.

All was good we have stayed at resort 6 or 7 times. I was very disappointed in the allowance of daycationers on Saturday and Sunday it made the pool very crowded and downgraded the hotel status. Would never recommend staying on weekends. Fortunitly we got a cabana for our whole 7 day stay

Great set up. Pool, beach and bar are all convenient. Go out for meals. Only complaint was that they seem short on cleaning staff.

The staff was excellent!! The food was very good but took 45 minutes to be served. I found out from the staff that there was one kitchen for three restaurants and that was the usual wait time. They had a wedding that took up two large areas of the grounds. I was not told this was to happen and this made you have to take a long walk around just to get to the pool, beach and restaurants.

Great property come here often but the jacuzzi each and every time is TOO DAMN HOT. It’s practically scalding. I measured the water temperature and it came out to 109°. Been coming here for years and for some reason Managment cannot get their act together on this hot tub. Other than that, fantastic experience overall.

The rooms were amazing with one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The resort itself is beautiful. Service was very poor. The bartenders at the pool bar were not very friendly and it took forever for us to get all of our things. The dinner and breakfast was a similar experience with waiting over 40 minutes for our dinner. Food was very average. Although the rooms were very clean, the pool bathroom was disgusting with being unable to use most of the toilets. For 500 dollars a night, I would expect someone to come ensure its cleanliness throughout the day. The hot tubb seemed broken and the water was painfully hot to the point that everyone who tried to go in could not. I usually love hot tubbs to be what everyone around me says "too hot" but this was to another degree where it felt like you were actually getting burned when you put your foot in. Overall we had a great time. The hammocks were very nice, the water was great, and the view is beautiful. I Was disappointed at the service and cleanliness for the price point.

The property was very clean and taken care of. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The environment was relaxing and kid friendly. The only negatives I have is that water pressure in the shower was very low, there was no microwave in our room so we had to go to the laundry room to heat leftovers. Everything was sooo expensive and the bed was a little hard. There was also a night we walked to a restaurant and got caught in a storm, we called to see if they could pick us up 2 miles away from the resorts and they said no. So we ran back to our the resort with lighting stringing down on us. In my opinion, we gave the resort so much money they should be willing to shuttle there guest short distances, especially in bad weather.

The room was very dirty and the balcony. For the price you pay per night plus the parking and resort fee, they still charge for everything. There is a place on site that rents kayaks etc..and they were going to charge for my son to use a life jacket in the ocean. They have a large floating barge in the ocean and no guest can use it unless they pay the daily charge which varies. This ranges from $300-$500 per day. We will never go back even though the resort itself and the grounds are very pretty.

Somewhat surprized no security at night, it was lovely and quiet throughout the week however at the weekends the place seemed to fill up with people with no wrist bands randomly having picnics on the beach and around the pool. I really liked the restaurants and beach area. The resort has a lot to offer for recreation- bikes, kayaks, paddle boards. The property is gorgeous and the staff was very friendly and willing to help you in any way. My only complaint is housekeeping. Our room was “cleaned” only once in 5 days. The only thing they did was empty trash and make the beds. No fresh towels, toilet tissue or Kleenex. I had to call almost every night for fresh towels. Also, there is constant music playing at the pool area. It’s not offensive during the day, however, it pays all night long and into the morning. Otherwise, it was a great vacation with beautiful views and I highly recommend the water cabanas!

While the property amenities are fabulous and the staff is terrific, I was let down by the cleanliness of the room where we stayed. We booked the suite with a view to the bay and that certainly did not disappoint. Unfortunately the shower was visibly growing mold in the corners and the furniture in the room had some pretty significant wear and tear. Not what I expected from an autograph collection property. That being said, we will definitely be back because we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, but I’m hoping we have better luck with the room next time.

This time we went was for our honeymoon. It was noisy. People were playing their own music which was vulgar and inappropriate. There was blood on the sheets and curtains. Very disappointed with our stay this time. Especially for all the fees each day.

We like the room and hotel grounds, however the lobby bathrooms were filthy and toilets were clogged, also we went for lunch to La marea and we were informed by the manager that they were short staffed, very unprofessional for such as expensive restaurant .

Resort is nice yet our room(2115) for the cost was dirty and run down. Examples: stained carpet, mildew in shower area, broken tiles in shower, stained sofa, dirty drapes, missing photos on wall, room cleaned 1 day of 4 stayed. Couldnt move due to resort at full capacity and losing gulf view.

Our room overlooked the parking lot. I requested either a water view or resort view, NOT a parking lot view! You have to call the front desk and request to have your room cleaned. I asked for a laundry bag (not one in the closet) and after 90 min of waiting, I gave up. And on our last day, the water in the entire resort stopped working. So glad I wasn't in the shower at the time. Unacceptable. Will not return to this hotel.

Overall very nice. Wonderful stay. However our room was not a “partial bay view” that we reserved and paid extra for. Wish i could provide pics. When i tried to talk to front desk they completely dismissed me when they saw i booked through Expedia. Completely disappointed in the Marriott property for that and tarnished the stay. Food options could have been better too

The property was very clean and taken care of. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The environment was relaxing and kid friendly. The only negatives I have is that water pressure in the shower was very low, there was no microwave in our room so we had to go to the laundry room to heat leftovers. Everything was sooo expensive and the bed was a little hard. There was also a night we walked to a restaurant and got caught in a storm, we called to see if they could pick us up 2 miles away from the resorts and they said no. So we ran back to our the resort with lighting stringing down on us. In my opinion, we gave the resort so much money they should be willing to shuttle there guest short distances, especially in bad weather.

My wife and I came for a quick couples weekend for her birthday and we believe we found our spot for FL Keys trips. The room was spacious and very nice, resort has a nice beach for the Keys and the sunset was great, we timed a dinner water table at Sol perfectly to watch the sunset as we were finishing our dinner. Ammenities were good and restaurants were good overall on-site with some good options nearby off-site as well. We will definitely return.

We have been to the Keys many times. This was our 1st time at Playa Largo. It is a beautiful resort. Our room was a corner suite and the picture in the ad shows a corner window looking out to unobstructed Gulf views. Our room did not have this feature. We had a glass slider with a view of mainly palm trees and pool, the Gulf was visible through the trees. The only other issue was the HVAC in our room was not working and it took 4 service calls and 3 days to fix it. The restaurants are among the best in the Keys, and the view of the Sunset from Sol by the Sea was AWESOME. We liked the "beach" above the seawall and the fact that there is water access. We took full advantage of the wait service at the pool and the "beach". This was a nice vacation.

Well, the waitresses at the buffet in the morning offer outstanding service and they all are very friendly. Especially Judith took nice care of us. The receptionists very friendly too. But they tried to charge us for breakfast at checking out although I sent them - while we checked in - the confirmation by email, that room rate includes breakfast. We did not like that. But overall it was very nice there.

Our stay unfortunately started on the wrong foot due to a very poor check-in experience. The staff member we interacted with showed no empathy and had a cold, unwelcoming attitude. We were in town for a wedding and politely asked if it was possible to have our room ready a little earlier than the standard check-in time. Rather than showing any willingness to help or even acknowledging the reason for our request, her response was dismissive and indifferent. It felt like she had no interest in assisting or going even slightly beyond the bare minimum to make guests feel cared for. That said, the rest of our stay was good. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities met our expectations. It’s just unfortunate that such a negative first impression cast a shadow over what could have been a completely positive experience.

Also, the property is misleading about what the "real" price is to stay there. Drinks at the evening sunset celebration seem to be complimentary but they\'re very expensive and there are up charges they don\'t tell you about. Also, why should they charge $25 per day to park? You have to have a car there and there is plenty of space. Just another way to milk the customer. However, it is clearly the nicest place to stay in key largo. Evening musical entertainers were phenomenal. Top notch!

Everything was OK until the check out. They charged me almost $800 more than expected because they made the mistake of not looking at the reservation made at Hotels.com where hotel was paid in advance. Even though they said they will refund those $800, I’m very disappointed that it’ll take 5 days to get the money back in my bank account. In other words, the hotel used my credit card and charged me twice in less than 24 hours but will take 5 days to return money.

Lots of hidden extra fees we were told self parking was free and valet was $30 so we self-parked and were charged $25. Today we sat at a table at the sandbar for over 30 minutes for lunch and no one ever came by not even with water or to give us menus so we decided to leave and had lunch at hobos. I think every restaraunt at the resort was overpriced and the service was mediocre. Servings were small.

I’m having a hard time reconciling the reviews that led us to book this place, with our actual experience. We got there 2 hours early. Not a problem because we’re not entitled to early check in. But the person at the desk told us we were “in the queue” which made us believe it wouldn’t be long, but by 4:00 (actual check in time) our room still wasn’t ready. After 4 we got to our room and I noticed how worn the table and chairs were. Not sorta worn, obviously needing replacing. For dinner that night we went to Sol. After delivering bread to our table, the waiter literally disappeared. When I complained to the host about it, no one could find him and we got a different waitress. Some of the food was good, but my husband got lobster Mac and cheese and it tasted like water. They obviously hadn’t drained the pasta enough. Our toilet wouldn’t stop running and sometimes wouldn’t flush. When I asked someone to look into it, the person flushed it but didn’t actually keep it from running. I had to report it 2 more times before it was actually fixed. When we went to breakfast one morning at La Marea the host pointed to a table across the room and behind a post. When I told him I couldn’t see the table, he did walk us to it. He asked if we wanted the buffet or menus and we said menus. Then he never brought them. She simply didn’t know what day it is. Also provided false information multiple times. When checked out gave a bill from another room, where it was a room charge while we prepaid everything in advance, had to waste time to figure out. Had to call manager but she wasn’t very helpful, she literally did not say anything. Horrible horrible customer service considering that we stayed on our reservation that I’m 8.5 months pregnant and this front desk agent Melanie only caused stress throughout the whole stay.

We absolutely loved this hotel! I had been working closely with the staff a month before our stay as they helped me plan my proposal, they arranged everything! Beach location, candles, flowers, photographer etc it was the perfect proposal and I can’t thank them enough (Yoly and Ashley). We took our 4 year old with us and it’s such a family friendly hotel with so much to do. The food and drinks were incredible, the room was one of the best rooms we’ve stayed in. Everyone we met at the pool had been to resort before or more than once. We’ll definitely be back, could even be our wedding venue. Thanks Yoly and Ashley for making it a magical weekend :)

The service was excellent. We arrived early and were allowed to check in early. Manuel the bartender at Sand Bar was fantastic as was his brother who bartends at Sol. I enjoyed the spa had a facial with Marlene that was very good as was my message. The beach area is small but the pool area was very nice. Property very clean and staff very nice. Good on property was good but we enjoyed dining offsite better. Had a great time would definitely stay again.

Playa Largo is a nice resort. It is a good quality place to stay. It has a beautiful location on the west side of Key Largo which means you see a beautiful sunset. The service is uneven and many times extremely slow. A better management would improve this place rapidly and make it ‘excellent’. Go kayaking, fishing and snorkling! There are plenty of suppliers around. The experience is lovely!

Playa Largo was incredible! We had an amazing time. The location was perfect but make sure to have a car. Rooms were extremely comfortable. We did have an issue with the hot water in the shower, we somehow figured out that if you run the hot water in the sink and run the shower at the same time the water warmed up. If you didn't do this, then you were taking a cold shower. This was in the Reef Tower, not sure if it's the same in other buildings. Food options were good, but could've been a little more abundant. If you are someone who just needs to grab a bite, it will be more then ok. If you are looking for vast options, then you may want to travel off the resort like we did. You can be as busy, or as chill as you want. The resort beach always had chairs to lounge in, and were never full. The staff is always on the lookout, and walking around catering to the guests so big up to them. All in all we really enjoyed our trip to Playa Largo and will return again one day for sure. 4 stars was only cause of the hot water, and the Fee Heavy check out, but I guess it's part of the game.

The Evening-tide nightly ceremony created a nice atmosphere to watch the sunset. If you are looking for an upscale resort that is not crazy expensive, Playa Largo is the place.

The staff were nice. I expected more food choices and easy access to just snack selections. The small gift shop had a small selection and then wasn’t always open. I expected more convenience of snacks if the gift shop was closed. The restaurant had options of food but the description was superlative in explanation and had to be questioned.

The staff was excellent!! The food was very good but took 45 minutes to be served. I found out from the staff that there was one kitchen for three restaurants and that was the usual wait time. They had a wedding that took up two large areas of the grounds. I was not told this was to happen and this made you have to take a long walk around just to get to the pool, beach and restaurants.

Super lækre omgivelser, pool og strand. Maden på de forskellige restauranter er ikke noget specielt og priserne for aktiviteter, mad og drikke er i den høje ende. Vi var på snorkle tur med Seadiwers, hvilket klart kan anbefales.

Checking in and out took longer than it should. This place is in need of a lick of paint and a good clean. The beach area needs cleaning and the toilets by the pool bar were not cleaned for the three days I was there (I know this to be true as there is 1 adult urinal and 1 child urinal in the toilet. On the first day I arrived the adult urinal was full of tissue and wasn’t removed when I left). I didn’t sample the entertainment, but they make a big thing about evenings on the beach. The hammocks are cloth and were never cleaned. I didn’t fancy having my bare skin on material that other people had been sweating in. Had no problems getting beds (unlike others had stated). The sunbeds are bare minimum comfort. No cushioning but beach towels are available everyday. As is complimentary fishing which was a nice touch. Pool bar only has crushed ice for drinks in plastic cups. The crushed ice lasts about 3 mins before melting and rendering your drink useless. You have to specifically ask the bar staff to limit the amount of ice, as soft drinks are pretty much slushies otherwise (no exaggeration, the cup is 90% full of crushed ice). Couldn’t do any water sports as the weather was choppy everyday (obvs not the hotels fault!). Air con in the rooms good quality. You will need your mosquito spray otherwise will get eaten alive. Food in the Sol restaurant is excellent, but would give all others a miss. Gym is below average. Peloton bike cannot connect Bluetooth & rower footstraps broken
Checking in and out took longer than it should. This place is in need of a lick of paint and a good clean. The beach area needs cleaning and the toilets by the pool bar were not cleaned for the three days I was there (I know this to be true as there is 1 adult urinal and 1 child urinal in the toilet. On the first day I arrived the adult urinal was full of tissue and wasn’t removed when I left). I didn’t sample the entertainment, but they make a big thing about evenings on the beach. The hammocks are cloth and were never cleaned. I didn’t fancy having my bare skin on material that other people had been sweating in. Had no problems getting beds (unlike others had stated). The sunbeds are bare minimum comfort. No cushioning but beach towels are available everyday. As is complimentary fishing which was a nice touch. Pool bar only has crushed ice for drinks in plastic cups. The crushed ice lasts about 3 mins before melting and rendering your drink useless. You have to specifically ask the bar staff to limit the amount of ice, as soft drinks are pretty much slushies otherwise (no exaggeration, the cup is 90% full of crushed ice). Couldn’t do any water sports as the weather was choppy everyday (obvs not the hotels fault!). Air con in the rooms good quality. You will need your mosquito spray otherwise will get eaten alive. Food in the Sol restaurant is excellent, but would give all others a miss. Gym is below average. Peloton bike cannot connect Bluetooth & rower footstraps broken
