First time in Norfolk. Chose the Gin Trap Inn as a base to explore the area. Rooms were very nice, well decorated with good features. The food was very good. Stay included breakfast, which was excellent quality, certainly better than a lot of places we’ve stayed at. Bar areas indoors and a nice outdoors, we spent all our time outside as the weather was fantastic. Had a few bar meals which were good quality. This is a place that serves very good quality food, it’s not a standard pub selling standard pub grub. Staff were very friendly. I’d recommend the Gin Trap Inn.

Receptionists warm and welcoming. Showed us to our room which was perfect for our one night stay. Lovely little extras in the room such as gin & tonics, strawberry tartlets and a card wishing us a happy anniversary. Room well appointed with everything you need. Free fresh milk and bottled water available from a fridge next to reception. Ate in the bar area in the evening and was presented with a lovely plate of petit fours as a gift after our meal. Delicious. Maybe an offering of more regular types of bar food would be nice but appreciate there is a restaurant for fine dining in the next room so kitchens may not have the capacity to cater for this. Lots of guests stayed with their well behaved four legged friends so would recommend a stay here if you wish to take your dog. Not to far from Hunstanton so a perfect location. Thank you Gin Trap Inn for a wonderful stay and we look forward to visiting again.

I stayed in the ‘Bloom’room with my sister for two nights Staff kindly helped take our luggage upstairs The room was lovely very chic and a little bit rustic The beds were comfortable too The shower was good , nice size and plenty hot water and big fluffy towels and robes The TV reception was poor and the picture was breaking up but it did not really matter on this occasion. As there is no wardrobe a couple of coat/ dress hangers would’ve been useful to have. The hospitality tray was good but we were too full to eat the complimentary cakes and then they sadly vanished 😩 The evening meal was very nice, a real experience but perhaps a bit too ‘posh’ for us really and rather expensive when we were staying at the inn already . The outside seating area is very lovely especially in the ☀️ sunshine with a gin in hand Overall a pretty special stay for us Thankyou

Room was very nice and comfortable and lovely and clean. Unfortunately there wasn’t a residents lounge only the pub bar area. The breakfast was extremely good although we were disappointed with the Sunday lunch as the portions were small and at £25 for the main course we would have expected more on the plate!

Excellent room facilities and welcome pack with sample G&T cookies and cake in room. Lovely Brew Dog teas and filter coffee also provided. Comfortable bed, good enclosed courtyard patio for our two dogs. Excellent breakfast and well stocked bar. Friendly service. Our third time of staying here - lovely footpath walks around the inn and great base for days out.

Fantastic night stay, made very special by the extra touches( gin in room, birthday card and dog treats for Daisy our cocker spaniel).Location is excellent, we spent the day at the beach and returned to relax at the Gin Traps garden setting with a gin of course. Great location in olde worlds pub. Friendly greeting from lovely staff. We stayed in the Loft which was fabulous and s as bathroom to die for. Completely self contained which suited us with a small well behaved dog. Evening meal superb as was the own brand gin and I shall remember the rice pudding for a long time. Ditto the breakfast, plentiful and delicious. Eco friendly toiletries were a plus. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

Lovely 2 night stay . The bed and bedding were the most comfortable place we’ve ever stayed, 2 drinks of G & T in our room, pastries , everything about the place speaks class and good quality. Breakfast ample and good choice , flexible in adding or reducing items on the menu. Outside area stunning . Only thing we would say to improve it is add some more meat dishes to the main menu or Tapas style dishes . Couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay .

Not quite the experience we expected based on a recent glowing write up in The Times which informed my decision to book 2 night stay for my husband’s birthday. Very limited restaurant menu - only 1 vegetarian main option. Husband had pie that was recommended- small portion, disproportionately served compared to the size of mash & cabbage. I Requested a side salad to add to my starter as didn’t want the only vegetarian menu on offer. This was poor in terms of lots of lettuce leaves, 3 tomatoes & a few shavings of radishes- disappointing Food offer not good value. Staff friendly but made us aware they are in transitional phase with recent takeover plans of the business, they are awaiting a chef, lots of staff have left etc. Doesn’t fill you with confidence. Our room was nice but a very small bathroom, shower needed a deep clean. Housekeeping did not leave us clean towels, despite clearly visible our towels had been used & were damp! Had to keep asking for clean cafeterire to be replaced & milk to make coffee & tea as no fridge in room. Fire alarm went off at 10pm - false alarm then fire service arrived. Told by staff they have faulty system & thus had occurred several times recently! They have a nice wood burner which we sat in chairs in front of, but this was not lit, instead had a fan heater next to it to keep us warm, not sure if they don’t bother in the week & only lit at weekends? Seemed odd & a ’can’t be bothered’ approach Would not rush back- should have been better

Very enjoyable stay, very dog friendly and staff were welcoming and attentive at all times. Would definitely recommend, the only slight glitch was that one day our bathroom was not cleaned/refreshed which was a very minor issue, however hard to find fault with anything else. We ate in the restaurant one evening, and it is an expensive meal, this is not a complaint just an acknowledgement that it is the fine dining bracket in our opinion.

Definitely worth a visit.! The Brewhouse cottage was cosy but perfectly formed. The attention to details made it feel so luxurious . G&Ts on the table waiting along side some brownies and shortbread treats! Not to mention treats for our dog ! Beautifully presented lovely breakfasts and evening meals. Thoroughly recommend staying. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, ready to help in any way they could.

We stayed in the stables room for our anniversary and we had a perfect stay. The room was really nice, especially nice having upstairs too, a real cottage feel. We booked food in the restaurant and I can honestly say that it was one of the best meals that we have had, with great service too.

My wife and I stayed in The Loft here for three nights. The room itself is lovely. A little bit quirky, but has a very comfortable large bed and is very quiet. The bathroom was great (a bath and a shower) and there was always loads of hot water. We ate in the restaurant the first night we were there and were very impressed with the quality of the food. An Isle of Wight tomato starter was particularly good, as was the mackerel starter and hake main course I had. All were beautifully presented and very tasty. The breakfast included in the accommodation cost was excellent. A great choice of continental breakfast items (yoghurts, croissants, toast, etc, etc) and hot items - the full English was great, with one of the best black puddings I have ever had! All in all, a very enjoyable stay. We ate in the bar for the other two nights and they were happy to serve us a few starters and/or the small plates they offer to share. All were excellent. The drinks were good, with many gins (as you'd expect) but also a decent wine list and a choice of beers and lagers. All the staff (reception, bar staff, restaurant staff) were friendly and very helpful.

A very comfortable room (but if you're over 6 feet tall take a hard hat!), really comfortable bed, great shower, and lovely touches in the room on arrival such as a complimentary gin & tonic, carrot cake, and biscuits. The breakfasts were superb and room remarkably quiet considering it was directly above the main bar area.

Second visit to the Gin Trap Inn. Lovely comfortable room (Brockmans) albeit a little dark...perhaps some brighter bulbs in the wall lights on dimmers? We ate in the restaurant on our first night ad the food was excellent. Highly recommend the duck starter. Overall, extremely comfortable with some nice touches such as a locally distilled gin and tonic upon arrival.

We had an awesome time staying here and I was blown away by how good the staff were. The room was stunning. Beautiful bathroom and bed was so comfortable. Arrived to a delicious gin & tonic also. Only disappointment was our evening meal. Very expensive for a tiny chewy steak & cold piece of fish. Breakfast though was great. I would definitely recommend staying here.

First time in Norfolk. Chose the Gin Trap Inn as a base to explore the area. Rooms were very nice, well decorated with good features. The food was very good. Stay included breakfast, which was excellent quality, certainly better than a lot of places we’ve stayed at. Bar areas indoors and a nice outdoors, we spent all our time outside as the weather was fantastic. Had a few bar meals which were good quality. This is a place that serves very good quality food, it’s not a standard pub selling standard pub grub. Staff were very friendly. I’d recommend the Gin Trap Inn.

My wife and I stayed in The Loft here for three nights. The room itself is lovely. A little bit quirky, but has a very comfortable large bed and is very quiet. The bathroom was great (a bath and a shower) and there was always loads of hot water. We ate in the restaurant the first night we were there and were very impressed with the quality of the food. An Isle of Wight tomato starter was particularly good, as was the mackerel starter and hake main course I had. All were beautifully presented and very tasty. The breakfast included in the accommodation cost was excellent. A great choice of continental breakfast items (yoghurts, croissants, toast, etc, etc) and hot items - the full English was great, with one of the best black puddings I have ever had! All in all, a very enjoyable stay. We ate in the bar for the other two nights and they were happy to serve us a few starters and/or the small plates they offer to share. All were excellent. The drinks were good, with many gins (as you'd expect) but also a decent wine list and a choice of beers and lagers. All the staff (reception, bar staff, restaurant staff) were friendly and very helpful.

Great service from the time we arrived, till the day we left. The room was fantastic and we were presented with a welcoming G&T each! Eat in the excellent restaurant on our first night and had a late lunch the following day. Must say the food is excellent

Very enjoyable stay, very dog friendly and staff were welcoming and attentive at all times. Would definitely recommend, the only slight glitch was that one day our bathroom was not cleaned/refreshed which was a very minor issue, however hard to find fault with anything else. We ate in the restaurant one evening, and it is an expensive meal, this is not a complaint just an acknowledgement that it is the fine dining bracket in our opinion.

This was a really lovely place to stay. We stayed in the Loft which was cozy and quiet, with a lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. We ate at the restaurant which was superb. All the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly, in fact it was like being amongst friends. Service was absolutely faultless. Hope to visit again.

We had an awesome time staying here and I was blown away by how good the staff were. The room was stunning. Beautiful bathroom and bed was so comfortable. Arrived to a delicious gin & tonic also. Only disappointment was our evening meal. Very expensive for a tiny chewy steak & cold piece of fish. Breakfast though was great. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely 2 night break at the Gin Trap. Staff very friendly & helpful, room was spacious & comfortable with a huge bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices & high quality food. Pretty area with easy access to the North Norfolk coast & a lovely circular walk from the inn, would definitely recommend a stay here.

Excellent room facilities and welcome pack with sample G&T cookies and cake in room. Lovely Brew Dog teas and filter coffee also provided. Comfortable bed, good enclosed courtyard patio for our two dogs. Excellent breakfast and well stocked bar. Friendly service. Our third time of staying here - lovely footpath walks around the inn and great base for days out.

Fantastic night stay, made very special by the extra touches( gin in room, birthday card and dog treats for Daisy our cocker spaniel).Location is excellent, we spent the day at the beach and returned to relax at the Gin Traps garden setting with a gin of course. Great location in olde worlds pub. Friendly greeting from lovely staff. We stayed in the Loft which was fabulous and s as bathroom to die for. Completely self contained which suited us with a small well behaved dog. Evening meal superb as was the own brand gin and I shall remember the rice pudding for a long time. Ditto the breakfast, plentiful and delicious. Eco friendly toiletries were a plus. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

Definitely worth a visit.! The Brewhouse cottage was cosy but perfectly formed. The attention to details made it feel so luxurious . G&Ts on the table waiting along side some brownies and shortbread treats! Not to mention treats for our dog ! Beautifully presented lovely breakfasts and evening meals. Thoroughly recommend staying. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, ready to help in any way they could.

Not quite the experience we expected based on a recent glowing write up in The Times which informed my decision to book 2 night stay for my husband’s birthday. Very limited restaurant menu - only 1 vegetarian main option. Husband had pie that was recommended- small portion, disproportionately served compared to the size of mash & cabbage. I Requested a side salad to add to my starter as didn’t want the only vegetarian menu on offer. This was poor in terms of lots of lettuce leaves, 3 tomatoes & a few shavings of radishes- disappointing Food offer not good value. Staff friendly but made us aware they are in transitional phase with recent takeover plans of the business, they are awaiting a chef, lots of staff have left etc. Doesn’t fill you with confidence. Our room was nice but a very small bathroom, shower needed a deep clean. Housekeeping did not leave us clean towels, despite clearly visible our towels had been used & were damp! Had to keep asking for clean cafeterire to be replaced & milk to make coffee & tea as no fridge in room. Fire alarm went off at 10pm - false alarm then fire service arrived. Told by staff they have faulty system & thus had occurred several times recently! They have a nice wood burner which we sat in chairs in front of, but this was not lit, instead had a fan heater next to it to keep us warm, not sure if they don’t bother in the week & only lit at weekends? Seemed odd & a ’can’t be bothered’ approach Would not rush back- should have been better

Room was very nice and comfortable and lovely and clean. Unfortunately there wasn’t a residents lounge only the pub bar area. The breakfast was extremely good although we were disappointed with the Sunday lunch as the portions were small and at £25 for the main course we would have expected more on the plate!

I Requested a side salad to add to my starter as didn’t want the only vegetarian menu on offer. This was poor in terms of lots of lettuce leaves, 3 tomatoes & a few shavings of radishes- disappointing Food offer not good value. Staff friendly but made us aware they are in transitional phase with recent takeover plans of the business, they are awaiting a chef, lots of staff have left etc. Doesn’t fill you with confidence. Our room was nice but a very small bathroom, shower needed a deep clean. Housekeeping did not leave us clean towels, despite clearly visible our towels had been used & were damp! Had to keep asking for clean cafeterire to be replaced & milk to make coffee & tea as no fridge in room. Fire alarm went off at 10pm - false alarm then fire service arrived. Told by staff they have faulty system & thus had occurred several times recently! They have a nice wood burner which we sat in chairs in front of, but this was not lit, instead had a fan heater next to it to keep us warm, not sure if they don’t bother in the week & only lit at weekends? Seemed odd & a ’can’t be bothered’ approach Would not rush back- should have been better
Not quite the experience we expected based on a recent glowing write up in The Times which informed my decision to book 2 night stay for my husband’s birthday. Very limited restaurant menu - only 1 vegetarian main option. Husband had pie that was recommended- small portion, disproportionately served compared to the size of mash & cabbage. Nice Country pub with dining. Rooms are individual and nicely appointed. Nice touches in the room including a sample of their gin and homemade sweet treats.

Definitely worth a visit.! The Brewhouse cottage was cosy but perfectly formed. The attention to details made it feel so luxurious . G&Ts on the table waiting along side some brownies and shortbread treats! Not to mention treats for our dog ! Beautifully presented lovely breakfasts and evening meals. Thoroughly recommend staying. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, ready to help in any way they could.
