Desert Hot Springs Inn

Be aware that if you book this "boutique hotel" you may be staying down the street in a neighborhood in what appears to be a converted garage in the back of a house. There is no parking on property You have to find someplace to park on the street and then worry about your car. Inside was clean and comfortable, but I did feel completely safe. I reached out through hotels.com but didn't get a response. We ended up staying since we just needed a place to sleep while visiting Joshua Tree and Palm Springs and it was significantly less than hotels in Palm Springs. But I would not choose this property again.

Some how I got the impression this was kind of a hot springs - spa kind of place. I wasn't neccessarily looking for either of those amenities but I was expecting that kind of vibe? Over-all the room was nice, but it is not a hang-out spot. In a residential neighborhood. We were located in their "annex" property. It felt more like an Air B&B experience than a hotel or an inn. We stayed here for a Saturday night before going to tennis finals the next day. Chose the spot because I was looking to avoid astronomincal hotel costs closer to the venue. It served its purpose, but I don't think I would stay here again.

Our experience here was great! It was a very relaxed and low-key property with a nice pool and jacuzzi. The king suite was so cute and spacious! We enjoyed sitting out back to enjoy the mountain views. Most notable however is the staff. The check in process was really easy and they were so friendly and accommodating.

Staff are very nice. Hot tub and pool right outside our room.

The staff was courteous. The hotel is clean but the towels in the room, the hot water and the facilities were not inviting. I will avoid hotels that do not maintain a security guard or front desk manager 24/7. I was the only one in the hotel for one night with no one else around and did not like it.
