Had a great first time stay at the hotel; staff is very friendly and the place was very clean. Only downside was there was no mini fridge in the rooms. Has a gym and a meeting room with a microwave and utensils which came in handy. I would definitely stay here again when in NYC!

We stayed at The Edge while attending an event at The Armory track & field facility. It was a great location - a very short walk from the metro stop and from The Armory. The room and hotel are pretty minimalist, but clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Front desk staff were very friendly. We'd definitely stay here again. I will add that amenities are minimal - snacks for purchase by the front desk and a gym on the lower level, no restaurant or bar. Cable tv in the room but hard to navigate the guide (didn't list channels or shows).

Dominic was very welcoming and gave us a free early check in. The Edge is super close to the A subway line and if you need to be further uptown, this Hotel is a great place to stay. Had a nice gym and lounge area where you could sit and eat or just relax. Convenient location and a different experience staying in the Heights vs Midtown.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s right down the street from the subway station, which made all our trips convenient. It is also near a supermarket, a fruit and veggie stand, and restaurants. The hotel is clean and the employees are kind and helpful. Especially Dominic, the front desk attendant, was helpful with suggestions on things to do, checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, and made us feel welcomed. They have a fitness room and lounge, as well as free hot tea and coffee available!

Location: the hotel is right next to a subway stop (168 St) and easy to get into central Manhattan, especially if you take the A express subway which cuts out a number of stops. I was wary the first couple of nights getting back late at night but if you walk quickly you'll be fine; no one interacted with me so I'd say it was a relatively safe area. If you go out early in the morning there are a number of nurses walking to work as the hotel is next to the nursing hospital and this makes the area feel quite safe as well even when it's still dark out. Overall the hotel is in a good location. The only thing I would say is the price was really quite high for a hotel 30 mins outside of Manhattan; if you could find a hotel for a similar price and size closer to the touristy areas that would maybe be better. If you can't, I'd still recommend the hotel and I would probably stay in it again. Cleanliness: overall the hotel was nice and clean; bins were emptied promptly and the bathroom cleaned spotlessly. Unfortunately I don't think the room was hoovered because when I arrived there was a line of crumbs and other people's hair all around the underneath of the bed (this was gross and I accidentally dropped my eye mask down the side of the bed one night and it came up with loads of bits on!!). There was also a small pile of crumbs by the door and this wasn't cleaned up throughout the entirety of my stay. I think the floor may have been brushed once or twice because some self-made bagel c

It’s closer to Columbia medical campus and it’s kind of next to a street that feels run down. The bath towels have tears in them and I have noticed it each time (total of 2 stays) I stayed here. My son lives near by and we stayed here due to the proximity.

It was a nice stay in clean room. Everything was working and nothing broken Plenty of towels, great comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. It was nice to have a fresh cup of coffee in the morning in the lobby to start our day . Good price. Very happy with the stay . We will come back

Staff is beyond super wonderful but rooms are so tiny and doesn't help that there is no luggage rack nor comfortable chair. And you have to be at least 5'5" to stretch to reach rhe hangars in closet. No network channels (or too hard to find them)

Great location!! Easy access to the subway. The Deli was convenient, friendly and felt like homw away from home and their food was delicious. The room view was amazing. The body wash and soap rhe hotel provides smells amazing. Room was small but it was manageable.

Very very comfortable bed and assortment of comfortable pillows. Nice hotel in a friendly neighborhood w/friendly competent employees. Windows open, to get some fresh air. Bathroom rather large with convenient cubby shelf to lay out your items. Will stay again. I enjoyed a top floor room with spacious southern city view, including of Hudson River.

We only spent one night so we didn't use the facilities. The room however was very clean. It was small but the space was used very effectively. I would definitely return and recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. As a female traveling alone, I never felt unsafe. It was also convenient to the subway for a straight shot down to Manhattan. Unfortunately, the room was very small and would have been uncomfortable if I had been traveling with a second person.

Nice hotel, easy to get to, close to the subway and close to food. The room was clean, smoke free and fairly quiet for NYC. It was tight and there was no fridge. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Exceptional service. Bed was comfortable, pillows were as well. A big thank you to Luis at the front desk who called and had a car ready for me at 3am without even me asking! I went down to order a taxi and the car had been ordered the night before. Such amazing customer service. I will definitely be back.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it was all clean and new. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because my last night there a couple was fighting, arguing and throwing stuff around in the hallway at midnight to the point where I felt unsafe. The front desk refused to kick these people out when I called. It got to the point where I had to call the cops, who were there in less than 5 minutes. It was a domestic dispute but I got no sleep that night and they wouldn’t kick the couple out even though they broke property and disturbed everyone on that floor for a couple hours in the middle of the night. The manager did call and apologize the next day and refunded me one night out of my five night stay but I just don’t know if I’d go back. It’s too bad because my daughter just moved to the neighborhood and that is supposed to be the best hotel around there.

A great find. The staff here are so polite and helpful. Always welcoming with a smile and hello. Better than most big hotels. They don’t do breakfast but there are a number of options very close by. It’s close to the subway so easy to get to. I’ll definitely stay here again.

All the staff was very accommodating for my ever changing plans. My wife was in the hospital and Luis, Eric and especially Dominik were so kind. They held my luggage when I was sure if we’re were checking out, multiple times! Excellent service.

Eric was terrific! Friendly, helpful and all round great person. Gave us restaurant suggestions, map and greeted us each time we passed him at the desk. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very cool experience. Would highly recommend to friends

I wish I could remember the front desk man’s name. He was so personable and helpful. He greeted us by name everytime. He loaned us an umbrella for our stay. Always asked if we needed anything. He exemplifies customer service and I am just sorry I can’t tell you his name. He is truly an asset to the hotel. The convenience to the subway was great. We loved having a keurig in our room too. Housekeeping did a great job servicing our room. The bottle of wine was the icing on the cake. Thanks

This property is so conveniently located if you have reason to be in Washington Heights or the surrounding areas. Dominic at the front desk is outstanding.

Great service, Super clean and comfortable room! The prize is very reasonable in compared to other locations in manhattan but you need to remember this location is not as close to downtown as you might want specially if you want to go out at night still price is completely fair since the subway station is 1 block away from the hotel, you have a starbucks nearby, ect. The neighboorhood though is not as pretty or friendly as I thought. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around at night specially being a woman. If you're on a budget this is one of the best options out there though for sure.

We had a family member having surgery at Columbia Presbyterian. It is an easy three block walk right across 168th St. The property was super clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The neighborhood has lots of places to grab breakfast and lunch. Ft Washington Public House was our go to for dinner. I’m not sure I’d walk too far anywhere in NYC at night but we got an UBER at midnight. Great place to get some rest. Would recommend and stay again but hopefully we don’t need to…;)

My stay was everything I needed it to be. I was back in NYC for my brother’s funeral and my stay was as peaceful as possible. The room was a decent size, nice and clean, I loved the heater in the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby. I wish I had requested a fridge in advance but the store downstairs was convenient for cold drinks. I was checked in by Stephen and was able to get into my room early which was greatly appreciated as I had been up and flew in early that morning and really needed to shower and rest before going to finalize the funeral and repass arrangements. The staff were great, I believe I spoke with Dominic each day and he was nice and professional. There was also a nice older woman at the front but I did not get her name. House keeping was great, I never saw them but they were definitely there. My room was always refreshed each day after I left the room. I will definitely be staying at Edge NYC again when I come to NY. Oh a big plus is there is a 24 hr deli across the street. The train station, BBQs, and Starbucks are two blocks up. Such a great location. An overall great experience.

It was great for the reason needed. Friend ahving surgery at Columbia. 3 block walk or ubers always available. Clean, quiet and hotel itself very safe. Staff was super nice! There is limited dining right there but there is a few places on Broadway right near hospital.

Although there are plenty of dining options outside of the hotel for the amount of money for a 2 night stay you would think there would be a restaurant inside of the hotel. Also the rooms are a bit cramped and the shower a bit tight however the lounge was very nice and the staff were accommodating overall a nice stay just a bit pricey

It was affordable and well placed in the neighborhood to explore Manhattan broadly. The deli around the corner pointed out by the staff was a real treat.
