location was amazing, close by parking a bonus. Very clean ,if a little dated. Heat in the main bedroom was uncomfortably hot , only one of the single beds was made up in the second room meaning one of us had to sleep in the very hot room. It was ok for a weekend but would have made a phone call if we were staying longer

Fantastic location - any little issues in the property are instantly forgiven when you see the views from every window. Another very big plus is the dedicated parking space so close. Lovely walks, pubs and coffee shops all a short stroll away. The kitchen space is quiet limited - and the bathroom definitely needs a major upgrade. The bath being small.

The cottage is warm and comfortable in a great location. Good sized main room and bedrooms, well-equipped galley type kitchen. Balcony with seats and table to relax and soak up the view over Porlock Bay. Good quality Smart TV - remember your passwords for iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. subscriptions. Good wi-fi gave no problems. A convenient parking space very near to the apartment door. Within a stone’s throw is an old traditional pub doing good value food and drinks and a smart hotel (Porlock Weir Hotel) doing very good food. Good walking on coastal path and beyond and a pleasant flat stroll along the salt marshes to walk off a lunchtime meal.

Great location with good food available at the pub, gallery and Ziangs. Lovely place to relax for a few days with easy access to Exmoor and the coast for walking. The cottage is clean and comfortable, lovely to be able to sit outside on the balcony. Julie and Colin very friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic stay at Harbour House, we love the location and the property. The beds are really comfortable and the property is really clean. You couldn't ask for a better location, it is a great spot to explore Exmoor or just to be able to relax. We will definitely be back.

The downside of this property is there isn’t a shower but it’s an old building so quite understandable. The kitchen is small but fully manageable. The rest of the apartment is airy and spacious. However all your worries are forgotten when you’re sat on the balcony looking at stunning views and beautiful sunrises! Good food from The Bottom Ship and The Hotel - cream tea and pizzas are delicious. Fantastic location. Great walks and views. Porlock Weir is beautiful and relaxing. A fabulous part of our country.

Great location with lovely views to watch the world go by. Take the basic foodstuffs with you, e.g. cooking oil and especially milk and sugar for that first brew. The Village shop below has a very limited range. The shop owner was very helpful and will order a daily paper for you. The Zaing popup cafe behind is fantastic. The apartment is very dated but warm apart from a cold bathroom.

Sea or harbour views from every window. The terrace is a lovely place to sit and enjoy harbour life. This area of The house is light and airy very spacious for two and perfectly viable for four. Exmoor is very unspoiled. A walker's paradise. You could spend a month here and not run out of new places to walk or visit. Lots of steep hills and lanes with passing places. Driving requires concentration .

My husband and l had the most restful long weekend break at this wonderful place. We sat on the balcony in the beautiful sunshine being ' nosy' and people watching!! Harbour House is great for being right in the heart of the village being able to watch the boats coming and going on the tide and this weekend seeing lots of children swimming and enjoying the sunshine. The flat is very very comfortable. The 2 settees in the lounge were comfortable and the bedrooms were a good size with lovely views across the harbour Thank you Jenny and Geoff for allowing us to stay in your great apartment, we will be back.

Fab property in a great location. We, and our two dogs, spent 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The bed is so comfy! In an ideal world a bit more space in the entrance hall would have been useful for towelling down the dogs after walks, but we managed and it definitely won’t put us off coming back.

Our second time at Harbour House and we enjoyed it as much as the first. We were blessed again with a few days of sunshine and the balcony is a great place to watch the fishermen going out and people watch. The flat is a good size and has everything you need. My husband and l love it there. Thank you Julie and Colin for the biscuits and the use of your lovely flat.

We have been before and will be back. It is a great place to just relax and let the world go by. There is a gluten free chip shop in Minehead for those that need it and want to eat fish and chips by the sea, who doesn't? It is also possible to eat at locally gluten free at both top and bottom ship. The owners Colin and Julie are very friendly

An amazing location and super apartment. Hosts very helpful and welcoming, and when Cafe open below very 'hands on'! Thoroughly recommend both Apartment and Cafe. One suggestion, a little more guidance on rubbish and recycling would be helpful, we should have asked but didn’t and only realised that there was a bin for recycling on final day, the marking on bin was towards the wall and we missed it.

This property fully justifies all the rating above but if I had to single out one feature for particular praise, it is the location. The balcony looks out onto the harbour so there is the sound of the waves, the hillside behind is covered with trees, there are lots of walks, a good pub, an hotel and street food. And a friendly owner nearby! Thanks for a great holiday

The location is amazing, We whiled away hours just sitting on the balcony watching the tide go up and down. Despite all this idleness, we are keen walkers, and found several exceptional long walks straight from the apartment. The apartment itself had everything we needed for a memorable week.

The location is second to none and we could have sat looking out at the view for most if the time we were there! If you want to escape the busyness of everyday life it is very tranquil and you feel almost as if you have stepped back in time especially if you visit out of season as we did. If visiting out of season, although Porlock is close by, there is no shop to buy basics from although I like the sense of getting away from it all you get here.

The locations views are second to none. I spent ages on that balcony. It's a large property and the layout is good. It was nice and comfortable and warm. I used it as a base to go hiking with my daughters. They also enjoyed their stay there.

Wonderful stay... a treat as well as a retreat. Located in front of harbour lock gates, spectacular, scenic views of harbour on both sides, and ideal location to try paddle boarding or kayaking. While perfectly located, you can enjoy the scenery and watch people potter around the harbour without any invasion of privacy nor noise. Fabulous local pub (Ship Inn), art gallery Cafe and noodle take away bar.

Great location with good food available at the pub, gallery and Ziangs. Lovely place to relax for a few days with easy access to Exmoor and the coast for walking. The cottage is clean and comfortable, lovely to be able to sit outside on the balcony. Julie and Colin very friendly and helpful.

The downside of this property is there isn’t a shower but it’s an old building so quite understandable. The kitchen is small but fully manageable. The rest of the apartment is airy and spacious. However all your worries are forgotten when you’re sat on the balcony looking at stunning views and beautiful sunrises! Good food from The Bottom Ship and The Hotel - cream tea and pizzas are delicious. Fantastic location. Great walks and views. Porlock Weir is beautiful and relaxing. A fabulous part of our country.

Great location with lovely views to watch the world go by. Take the basic foodstuffs with you, e.g. cooking oil and especially milk and sugar for that first brew. The Village shop below has a very limited range. The shop owner was very helpful and will order a daily paper for you. The Zaing popup cafe behind is fantastic. The apartment is very dated but warm apart from a cold bathroom.

We have been before and will be back. It is a great place to just relax and let the world go by. There is a gluten free chip shop in Minehead for those that need it and want to eat fish and chips by the sea, who doesn't? It is also possible to eat at locally gluten free at both top and bottom ship. The owners Colin and Julie are very friendly

A wonderful place to stay - and a real home-from-home. Food options are a little bit limited - but the pizzas on the terrace of the Porlock Weir hotel were fantastic, as were the fish and chips at the Ship Inn. Colin and Julie were excellent and welcoming hosts. Great crabbing opportunities too!

The cottage is warm and comfortable in a great location. Good sized main room and bedrooms, well-equipped galley type kitchen. Balcony with seats and table to relax and soak up the view over Porlock Bay. Good quality Smart TV - remember your passwords for iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. subscriptions. Good wi-fi gave no problems. A convenient parking space very near to the apartment door. Within a stone’s throw is an old traditional pub doing good value food and drinks and a smart hotel (Porlock Weir Hotel) doing very good food. Good walking on coastal path and beyond and a pleasant flat stroll along the salt marshes to walk off a lunchtime meal.

Wonderful stay... a treat as well as a retreat. Located in front of harbour lock gates, spectacular, scenic views of harbour on both sides, and ideal location to try paddle boarding or kayaking. While perfectly located, you can enjoy the scenery and watch people potter around the harbour without any invasion of privacy nor noise. Fabulous local pub (Ship Inn), art gallery Cafe and noodle take away bar.

Fab property in a great location. We, and our two dogs, spent 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The bed is so comfy! In an ideal world a bit more space in the entrance hall would have been useful for towelling down the dogs after walks, but we managed and it definitely won’t put us off coming back.

An amazing location and super apartment. Hosts very helpful and welcoming, and when Cafe open below very 'hands on'! Thoroughly recommend both Apartment and Cafe. One suggestion, a little more guidance on rubbish and recycling would be helpful, we should have asked but didn’t and only realised that there was a bin for recycling on final day, the marking on bin was towards the wall and we missed it.
