The Falls Motel - 2 Mi to " Watkins Glen State Park, Wineries " and 4 Mi to Watkins Glen International Track " The Glen "

Located in a very quiet area, this place is great. We had a king-sized bed and a super clean room. A beautiful waterfall is located just down the street, as well as the small historical district. Super friendly staff. You can grab pre-packaged breakfast and fruit, along with coffee. You can park right next to your room, which is super convenient. Great place!

Typical old-style motel with drive-up parking and lines of rooms. Clean but very dated. Disappointed in that the room right next to ours was rented, despite the fact that there were numerous other rooms available. We had to listen to late-night and early morning TV through the thin walls. Why weren't the other people placed in other rooms away from ours?

While this property has almost no additional amenities, the staff was incredibly helpful, the room was clean and in good repair with a very comfortable bed, as well as a mini fridge and microwave. I personally liked that the sink was outside the bathing area. The only thing that was less than excellent was the breakfast. There was coffee, hot water, a choice of two bottled juices, and a choice of commercially packaged muffins and pastries. There was no place to eat except in your room (no table and chairs) or in the single chair outside each room. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a night, although if I planned on a longer stay, I would also plan to supplement the breakfast.

The Falls Motel is a very clean and comfortable stay while in the beautiful Watkins Glen, NY area. A short distance from the busy downtown area. The main negative part of this stay was that the property had not addressed snow and Ice removal in the parking lot. It was very slippery. No salt or traction material was applied to the walking area.

Clean. Can't go outside on the property to enjoy.

Parking was easy . Room was clean but had a musky smell . Everything else was great .

Stay was good, but they should not say that they have continental breakfast. It looked like there was coffee and maybe a pastry or something in the lobby, but it was all gone when I came to get some and there was no place to sit to eat it.

Great water pressure and jet tin works well. Nice size King room, clean sheets but pillow cases need to be replaced. Door lock needs replace/update and add flip lock inside for more security.

I don't like the fact it sated breakfast is included, but only juicy, coffee, prepacked donut, and a banana or apple is provided to pick up. no setting area for food consumption.

The place was clean enough but the only place to put any jackets was above the microwave so it was unusable as our jackets would have rested on it. Motel is on a huge hill and wasn’t plowed so I was nervous driving up/down. When we left at 7 am the office was still locked so I cannot even comment on the breakfast. The heater took about three hours to heat the room so I was shivering for a while and had to sleep in sweats. Good location though.

There were live bugs in the room and dead ones in the corners like they never cleaned the room thoroughly

Not what we were expecting based on reviews. Very dirty. Bugs all over. Bad smell in room. Breakfast was very weak. Coffee like water. Staff is new and trying. Facility needs an overhaul.

the room was musty and moldy. the ac filter full of mold and the bathroom ceiling was full of mold. the outside entrance into the room was full of spider webs and bugs. horrible place.

Where do I start. Well let’s start with the Expedia advertisement that suggests that this motel allows dogs. Well we arrived to check in and see a sign that says they don’t. Luckily we have family in town and we left out dog with them. Secondly, we noticed tons of spider webs at the corners of each ceiling and wall. Killed a couple of bugs as well. The sink began leaking on the last night and the floors are filthy. I dropped some water only to wipe it up and the paper towel was the darkest of black. Front desk staff appeared to be annoyed with questions and asking for extra towels was like I was asking for a $100 bill. Continental breakfast was a shrink wrapped pastry, banana, and apple. Coffee wasn’t what I call coffee. If you asked me, stay anywhere else if you can do it…maybe a tent along route 14. False advertising…allowing dogs when they don’t and filthy room, not to mention a bad odor was enough for us to write it off for any future stay. Maybe the electric air cleaner in the bathroom should had been a clue for us. Wish I could post pictures as I have em. Having been raised in Montour Falls, along with the other reviews I read I was hoping for the best. Not sure where the great reviews came from but might b done by friends and family of owners or those with low standards…$175/night…..hmm, run!

Rooms were clean & nicely appointed: Cable TV, WiFi, Fridge. Linens & towels were clean & fresh. The bed (for me) was comfy. Owners are on-site and were very pleasant. It was nice and quiet, & conveniently located very close to The Glen and Rt. 14. A pleasant stay.

When we arrived at our room, we found it to smell funny/musty, there were moisture absorbers behind the bed and nightstand, there was a spider in the bathroom over the mirror, the coffee pot had some kind of buildup in the bottom of it , the shower/tub was dirty and hadn't been scrubbed in some time, the air conditioning unit had big chunks of debris built up behind the discharge screen there were a lot of spiders on the overhang in front of all the rooms on the bottom floor. Just a positive note it was quite and convenient to the downtown area

Two trash cans had stuff in them. Sink and tub had used bars of soap in them. Not too bad. But the smell was a real problem. We opened the windows for half an hour and cranked up the AC fan to get some air flowing. Did not help. And the bed/sheets reeked terribly as if they hadn't been washed in a very very long time. We left and requested a refund, which they denied. Don't care. Worth not staying here.

We stayed one night there and the room is spacious and clean. The only complain is the bathroom light is dim and the AC is kind of noisy.

Room was very nice and clean. Only downfall bed was not comfy or to what id expect to be. Great stay.

I don't like that it doesn't have office or coffee table. I have no place to put my take-out food orders and sit there to eat. Also, there is very limited hangers in general and in the bathroom. The fridge has no freezer section. The breakfast is included but very limited. Only pre-packaged muffin, banana, apple, bottle juices, and low grade coffee.

The room was well-sized. Overall, room is no-frills and somewhat uncomfortable. The mattress was fine, but the pillows are horrible--flat as pancakes. There is no place to sit in the room. Headboard has a piece along top that sticks out about 6 inches, meaning you can't even sit on bed with back against headboard. We had to sit cross-legged on bed with no back support or lie down. Highly irritating.Bathroom need better lighting. Breakfast is sparse--coffee, apples, bananas, and prewrapped, processed "pastries." Proprietor is friendly, but we wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed at The Falls Motel for 4 nights as our base for exploring Watkins Glen State Park and the surrounding area. The owner and his family greeted us with friendly tips about the attractions nearby and were helpful with getting us settled in the room. We were comfortable and the room had everything we needed. There was a mini fridge that came in handy for keeping snacks for hiking, also a microwave. Nice place, kind people, a clean room with a very nice, comfortable mattress at a reasonable price.

The checking clerk was very polite and was able to just a great dinner restaurant. He was very helpful.

Falls Motel was clean and the service very good. The employees were attentive to answering questions and at the office all the time. We found restaurants within a 10 minute drive as well as Watkins Glen State Park.

This was a cozy place to stay and the owner was so kind. He provided great dinner recommendations and we ate at the local Thai restaurant and loved it.

Mike, the proprietor of The Montour Falls Motel was great! He had great suggestions as to places to eat and and answered all our other questions. The property is well managed, and Mike goes to great lengths to assure his guests enjoy their stay.

Stayed for two nights during a last minute road trip to Walking Glen. Clean motel that served it's purpose as some place to shower and sleep after exploring the area. Located about 2 miles(5 min drive) from the main town area and Watkins Glenn State Park.

We spent WE enjoying the SVRA Vintage GP WE @ the track and at the downtown GP Festival. The Falls Motel was located “smack dab” between both of these POIs. The room w/ two Queen size beds was perfect. Free ice & a Continental breakfast was the icing on the cake.

The Falls Motel is a nice, clean, simple hotel. Nothing fancy, but we appreciated the closeness to Watkins Glen and points of interest. We would stay again, if in the area.

Very nice, clean, quiet property with a great staff. The location is a bit out of the way (nothing is really walkable), but it's a good affordable option if you're in the Seneca Lake area.

The staff was very nice. I felt safe here. Watkins glen is not to far.

Walking distance to wonderful waterfalls and very close to Watkins Glen.

Decent roadside motel. Nothing special - friendly and responsive owners and clean room. Price was a bit high - but compared to the more expensive places a bit closer to downtown Watkins Glen it was reasonable.

The motel is 5 minutes drive from the Watkins Glen State Park, and 3 minutes drive from a Top grocery store. It is very clean, and we can see beautiful mountains from the window. The room is small but provides everything we need, including two queens beds, a small refrigerator and a small microwave, and a desk with a chair. The breakfast is not really a breakfast but more like coffee with muffins in plastic bags, but with the price it is understandable. There are lots of dinning options nearby. We bought breakfast sandwiches and fruits from the Tops grocery store, and it worked out perfectly. We sure will stay here again next time if we visit Watkins Glen.

Many fine attractions within the area. The breakfast was very poor. It would have been cheeper ot reserve with them directly rather than use Expedia.

Decent sized room in an older motel - No real breakfast other than coffee, some packaged sweet stuff, a banana, an apple, and apple juice in convenient little bottles. Friendly, nice, helpful staff of older people from India, making the stay very pleasant and relaxed. - Hotel was overpriced when I was there, but it's summer and their location is good, but I noticed most of the rooms were empty.
