Perfect location. Easy to reach. Good for both old and new city. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable and clean but very old stylish and a little worn out. Nice little kitchen for preparing small meals and coffee/tea. I stayed with my two grown up children for 5 nights and we all found it good.

I stayed at the Hotel Kaplan for a three week study program which was a 15 minute walk away. The rooms are clean, comfortable and provide you with the essentials, nothing more. While not an upscale hotel, the owners Eli and Nathan are very welcoming and are definitely part of the experience of staying there. A kitchen is available if you want to do light cooking. The rooms include a small refrigerator which is great for keeping drinks cool. The hotel is off Jaffa St. directly across from Zion Park and is close to transportation, many restaurants and tourist attractions. I highly recommend it and hope to return. NOTE: The hotel is in an old building which has several steep flights of stairs to reach the two floors. There are no elevators. This is not necessarily a problem, if you are young and strong enough. But if you have mobility issues or heavy suitcases, you may want to consider another hotel, sadly. Todah rabah, Eli and Nathan!

Kleines Hotel im Altbau, beste Lage zur Metro, 10 Min. zu Fuß zur Altstadt, pragmatisch eingerichtet (z.B. Bad auf dem mit Fenstern versehenen Balkon in einem der Zimmer - ich war in drei verschiedenen), alles, was man braucht ohne unnötigen Luxus und die Einrichtung insgesamt älter, gutes Bett, Kühlschrank im Zimmer, sogar Waschmaschine und allg. Küche vorhanden, Internet teilweise je nach Zimmer etwas schwach, aber am besten: sehr nett und freundlich und hilfsbereit geführt von der Familie. Für mich ein netter Aufenthalt.

The Owner (Eli and wife) are both nice people. The hotel. Is very close the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, City Hall, Train station, going to TelAviv, very convenient. You just have to be patient because there is no elevator.

The room was very comfortable, with newly renovated bathroom and a nice French window. The owner/manager Eli is wonderful, very helpful and made me feel right at home. He invited me to freely use the kitchen and laundry facilities and provided tips as I walked around the old city. The only difficulty I had was locating the property when I first arrived nice the building has no posted property name along the main Street Jaffa. But its located close to the Jaffa and Damascus gates and the garden tomb. I would stay here again.

For two of us (married) the room was small by our normal standards in the USA. But…TV had 5+ English channels, shower in the corner was good with hot water, and small refrig served our needs. I would have liked a breakfast area but Aroma Coffee is 30 steps from the front door. No elevator and first rooms start on the 2nd floor. There was at least another floor above us.

Great location! Right off the Main Street that has a lot of food options and the light rail train station is only about 2 minutes away walking. This is a small cozy hotel. Rooms are small but perfect for two people who just want it to take a nap during the day and sleep at night. Shower has hot water. Room had AC. Room has a mini fridge. Hotel was quiet and the owner was very nice. Shared kitchen is offered. Lots of stairs if you’re on the third floor but overall for the price and location it’s a perfect little hotel with great service. I would stay here again.

This hotel was excellent. It was clean, comfortable and very safe. The two owners were extremely friendly and helpful in every way. The owner did our laundry for free and gave us excellent advise on the area and was always available. I would recommend this hotel to everyone coming here. Its a short 8 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate and just off Jaffa Street with tons of food and shopping but very quiet at night. Excellent hotel.

The hotel is in the very center of Jerusalem. The old town is in walking distance and the railway station is very close too. The room is clean and comfortable even though not very big. The stuff is super nice and helpful and funny. I loved talking to the guy, he never misses to welcome me when I returned from the city. WiFi and everything else worked well.

It's a small hotel/hosterl, very homey. Not luxurious but clean and comfortable, and very reasonable, especially for a major city. Location is SUPER convenient: walking distance to Old City, right on Zion Square, a block to a Light Rail stop. I would definitely stay there again.

The owner was friendly and helpful and the location is very central. The bed sheets were clean but there were many small flies congregating in the bathroom because the window screen had a design fault were it has open gap letting the flies in. The overall cleanliness has room for improvement. Given the high cost of Jerusalem, the price of the room is reasonable. So you get what you pay for.

Absolutly the best hotel around. Close by walking to Jaffa Gate. Very clean and air con worked great. Available kitchen and the owners were awsome. I highly reccommend this hotel. Very quiet and everything is within walking distance

Das Hotel ist ein altes, aber gut erhaltenes Gebäude, der Zugang ist etwas versteckt. Das Zimmer war ausreichend, aber weit weg von luxeriös. Es entsprach eher einem soliden 2 Sterne Standard. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend, aber auch nicht mehr. Es gibt Kaffee zum Einrühren in heißes Wasser.

For two of us (married) the room was small by our normal standards in the USA. But…TV had 5+ English channels, shower in the corner was good with hot water, and small refrig served our needs. I would have liked a breakfast area but Aroma Coffee is 30 steps from the front door. No elevator and first rooms start on the 2nd floor. There was at least another floor above us.

Great location! Right off the Main Street that has a lot of food options and the light rail train station is only about 2 minutes away walking. This is a small cozy hotel. Rooms are small but perfect for two people who just want it to take a nap during the day and sleep at night. Shower has hot water. Room had AC. Room has a mini fridge. Hotel was quiet and the owner was very nice. Shared kitchen is offered. Lots of stairs if you’re on the third floor but overall for the price and location it’s a perfect little hotel with great service. I would stay here again.

This hotel was excellent. It was clean, comfortable and very safe. The two owners were extremely friendly and helpful in every way. The owner did our laundry for free and gave us excellent advise on the area and was always available. I would recommend this hotel to everyone coming here. Its a short 8 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate and just off Jaffa Street with tons of food and shopping but very quiet at night. Excellent hotel.

I stayed at the Hotel Kaplan for a three week study program which was a 15 minute walk away. The rooms are clean, comfortable and provide you with the essentials, nothing more. While not an upscale hotel, the owners Eli and Nathan are very welcoming and are definitely part of the experience of staying there. A kitchen is available if you want to do light cooking. The rooms include a small refrigerator which is great for keeping drinks cool. The hotel is off Jaffa St. directly across from Zion Park and is close to transportation, many restaurants and tourist attractions. I highly recommend it and hope to return. NOTE: The hotel is in an old building which has several steep flights of stairs to reach the two floors. There are no elevators. This is not necessarily a problem, if you are young and strong enough. The owner was friendly and helpful and the location is very central. The bed sheets were clean but there were many small flies congregating in the bathroom because the window screen had a design fault were it has open gap letting the flies in. The overall cleanliness has room for improvement. Given the high cost of Jerusalem, the price of the room is reasonable. So you get what you pay for.

For the price, it was what we expected. No complaints but this is definitely a budget hotel. No frills. Great location. Super nice staff. Easy in/out, no wasting time on paperwork. Parking is tricky so if bringing a car, be warned there is no nearby parking. We only stayed one night and didn’t spend much time in the hotel but it served our needs.

The Owner (Eli and wife) are both nice people. The hotel. Is very close the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, City Hall, Train station, going to TelAviv, very convenient. You just have to be patient because there is no elevator.

Perfect location. Easy to reach. Good for both old and new city. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable and clean but very old stylish and a little worn out. Nice little kitchen for preparing small meals and coffee/tea. I stayed with my two grown up children for 5 nights and we all found it good.

It's a small hotel/hosterl, very homey. Not luxurious but clean and comfortable, and very reasonable, especially for a major city. Location is SUPER convenient: walking distance to Old City, right on Zion Square, a block to a Light Rail stop. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was very comfortable, with newly renovated bathroom and a nice French window. The owner/manager Eli is wonderful, very helpful and made me feel right at home. He invited me to freely use the kitchen and laundry facilities and provided tips as I walked around the old city. The only difficulty I had was locating the property when I first arrived nice the building has no posted property name along the main Street Jaffa. But its located close to the Jaffa and Damascus gates and the garden tomb. I would stay here again.
