Best Western Plus Columbia Inn

Parking lot in the rear with no access to enter the hotel without walking in the driveway. Need a sidewalk.

Pros: Great stay, friendly staff, indoor pool, basic fitness area, good breakfast area, washer/dryer if needed Cons: The back parking lot is ridiculous!! People parking long ways taking up 7 spots and/or blacking you from being able to back out on the back row. FIX THIS! It’s the only reason you don’t get 5 stars.

The pool was freezing!!! couldn't even enjoy it, also had a lot of bugs in it I assume from the door being left open from the patio in the back. Bed was pretty comfortable and the staff was very kind. Breakfast was too early so we missed it daily. The only other complaint, the traffic from the freeway was pretty loud but out of the control of the employee's. Overall we had a good stay and would stay here again!

It was clean, friendly staff. Breakfast was good, and the 24hr coffee was the best. Only bad thing the indoor pool was not heated. It was super cold.

This is a nice, well-maintained hotel just off the interstate and centrally located in Columbia, Missouri. Everything about this hotel is great EXCEPT the very tight parking lot. Fortunately the hotel was not very crowded last night.

I booked this hotel solely because of the hot tub and pool. I called the front desk to check the pool hours. They told me the pool closed at 10 I checked in less than one hour after I called got to my room changed into my bathing suit walk down to the pool area only to find a sign that said the pool is closed until further notice. . Very unhappy with the front desk staff that gave me the pool hours. They could’ve let me know that it was closed at that time and I would’ve made other arrangements.

The indoor pool water was very cold for an indoor pool.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. Workout room was bare minimum and there were not any towels or wipes to clean gym equipment

Staff was nice. The first room I was placed in smelled of mildew and smoke, had to switch rooms it was so bad. They swapped me rooms without issue, so that was nice. My new room, had a towel bar that was ripping off the wall and eventually fell off. The grout between the tiles was cracking and coming up all over the place. The shower wouldn't turn hot, then after 10 min of running it would turn to scalding hot and there was no in between. It was bad. There was a homeless encampment directly behind the hotel. The place was cheap, so I suppose you get what you pay for.

The property was fine. The room was as presented. Bed comfortable. Our big problem was road noise due to location. Probably will not rent again because of the noise. Lastly, the room was clean but the cleaning staff missed things like the corners of the bathroom where debris had accumulated.

It was FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS for ONE NIGHT. Linens were dirty, bed smelled like poop when you pulled back blankets, cigarette holes in blanket, coffee machine broke, only one singular person working the entire property after like 5. The only positive was the man that works the breakfast, he was a delight. I’m appalled I spent FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS, it was graduation weekend but still.

Really great nice. Breakfast attendant was great. It was a roach crawling on the wall in our room and the bathroom floor was filthy looking. Needs to be replaced.

Wonderful hotel stay! From the moment we entered the lobby we noticed how clean everything was. Our room was very clean also. We appreciated having the microwave and refrigerator in the room. Every staff person we interacted with was pleasant and professional. I witnessed a front desk person very patiently explaining something to some foreign visitors. They were having some difficulty understanding something, but the worker never got frustrated with them. She remained pleasant even though she had to repeat herself several times. I was very impressed with her service. The breakfast food was fresh and delicious and included a great variety of hot and cold items. Overall, an awesome visit! And the price was right too! We’ll definitely return.

Very clean property.

The staff was very kind and the rooms were clean, but the location right in the highway and limited sound treatment meant it was extremely loud at night. It was loud to a point where it was difficult to sleep.

We were only there 1 night, but the front desk attendant was very nice and check in was smooth. The hotel looks very clean and modern. The bed was a little on the soft side for my liking, but otherwise the room was great and breakfast in the morning was very good too. The only thing is that because the hotel is by the main highway you hear all the road noise at night. I usually listen to nature sounds at night anyways so I just raised the sound a bit to drown it out and was able to sleep fine. Overall I would definitely stay again.

Very noisy, some from the interstate nearby, but most from upstairs tenants who appeared to stomp back and forth all evening and early the next morning even after being notified by the front desk about it. Wi-Fi was marginal at best. Good breakfast with several choices, both hot and cold.

Rooms need more lighting, bathroom counter area very small. If more then one person doing make up you wont be getting ready at the same time. Lighting by other mirror is horrible.

Very nice property, clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. However, the road noise from the Interstate was really loud and made it impossible for me to get any sleep. I wouldn’t stay here again for that reason.

Everything was freshly renovated so fairly nice but the room I was in had a misaligned door so I could see straight out. Bathroom didn’t seem cleaned super thoroughly either. Staff was fantastic and accommodating.

The room was quiet and bed comfy. The room was also very spacious with a couch and mini fridge.

Comfortable king size bed, microwave, and fridge in the room. Surprised, and disappointed, that the tub/shower single handle water fixture produced only very hot water. There was no cold water for mixing to adjust water temperature. Informed the registration desk person of the problem, but no offer was made to correct the problem, provide a new room with a properly functioning shower, or credit toward our next stay at a Best Western hotel.

Check in and out was easy. Tatiana (front desk) was very polite and professional. We didn’t have any issues with the room and the beds were great! I’ve traveled a lot and the bed/pillows were the best I’ve ever encountered on the road. Crazy thing is this is the first Best Western Plus, I’ve ever stayed at. I’ll be back! : - )

The staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful, however when you stay 3 nights you should be able to have your room cleaned. I left the card on the door for it to be cleaned and came back to a dirty room. Front desk attendant said housekeepers are unable to read and we should have notified desk. This is unacceptable if housekeepers can’t read the cards than find a different method

The hotel staff went above and beyond! I had a family emergency and had to cut my visit short. They were VERY understanding! Then when leaving my phone became inoperable and I had no way to get directions or contact my family. They let me use a cell phone to reach my family and printed off directions for me. I will ALWAYS stay here when I'm in town!

Upon arrival I was greeted by Rosselyn who made me feel safe and warm and at home. She had a beautiful glow and presence to her that was very unique and beautiful. I'd like to take my review to shine on how my stay was absolutely wonderful due to Rosselyns presence and beautiful work ethic and smile

Horrible, horrible service. They tacked on an additional $150 for “dirty sheets” DO NOT go here, go literally anywhere else.

Excellent variety at breakfast. They had given the accessible room we reserved to another person, but they gave us the room key and we walked in on someone. Not cool. No other accessible rooms available, so we got a room in which we could not shower and a long way from the lobby. The clerk had to call a manager to find out if the hotel had any rooms with walk in showers. They did not. Check in took half an hour and then we had to return for more. Best Western's computer check in seems to take much longer than other hotels we visit.

The receptionist has no manners nor customer service skills. She was rude, unfriendly, unpleasant, untruthful, disrespectful, condescending and highly unprofessional. She is dark-skinned and announced herself as the front office manager. My room was very dusty…..the carpet and cupboard where the fridge is stored were very dusty. I will never go back there nor would I encourage anyone to go there.

Pleasantly surprised about this stay! I had not stayed in a Best Western for many years and was worried that the condition of the building would be run down since it was in a college town (drunk revelers for college games and parties). Boy, was I wrong! Pleasant and efficient employees manned the front desk and created a seamless check-in and check-out process, answered questions and handled little emergencies. Room was attractive, comfortable and clean. Loved the ease of being able to control the temperature of the room switching modes between air and fan with easy to understand controls. Refrigerator in room was generous-sized and had a nice but small working freezer. All the lamps in the room featured extra plug-ins making it easy to plug in additional devices without having to look for wall outlets. The bed was extremely comfortable (considering I sleep at home on a Sleep Number mattress) and the bedding was not too heavy that you were comfortable all night long without getting too hot. Shower head was adjustable so you could choose between pulse, spray or a combination. The only two room negatives in my opinion was the size of the counter-space next to the sink and the lighting above the sink, which were not too huge of deal-breakers. The complimentary breakfast provided a good variety of choices and the gentleman manning the dining area was constantly checking to make sure there was plenty of tasty food and keeping the area clean. Overall, excellent stay!

Room was clean and great quality, but the best thing they have going for them is the lady they had working the front desk was extremely polite and professional. She made check in easy and quick and even took care of a minor issue I had promptly.

The hotel itself is very nice. Due to construction on I-70 which borders the hotel, there is a lot of extra noise.

Easy check in & out, great breakfast options & a really cool coffee machine that made things like lattes, mochas, & cappuccinos! Comfy room with black out curtains.

Everything was good up until breakfast. The bacon was so thin you could see through it. It was so burnt and crispy. If you touched it with the tongs, it just broke up into pieces and the tater tots were so cold. You could taste the grease in them.

Really enjoyed the breakfast. That attendant was VERY accommodating and took a lot of pride in his work! Food was surprisingly above average for a hotel breakfast buffet. Great quality food and juices.

So often the breakfast at continental breakfast places are just ok and quite same same, BUT Cortez absolutely nails the bacon! Cortez is a bacon savant! Thanks Cortez! Absolutely next level bacon prep.
