Rooms were clean enough to stay but this old hotel has a lot of work to do if they want to be around for a while

WHATEVER YOU DO DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. It is under renovation or so they tell you. AC broken all over hotel. Swimmining pool in lobby indoors. Over 105 in lobby with 95% humidity. They overbooked so many people almost riot at the desk with 15-20 of us in line with reservations and they told us all they were overbooked. That was at 4 pm by 6:30 pm no rooms were clean. Put us in a Room that had no ac, no sheets, no amenities, bare wires in room, ceiling falling in shower. Bed frame was sharp edge and scraped my leg many times over night. Room was over 95degrees. Lamp shades not screwed on and in bad shape. See photos

The hotel premises have gotten old . It is very well located, right on the Lubbock loop, the staff is really amazing and go out of their way to help you out given the current liability situation with the retain heat from the inner rtooms when the A/C units are turned OFF. The heat from the exhaust coming out of the rooms facing on the inside of the hotels and completely retained the generated heat which in turn makes the staff job very difficult because they just can not stop sweating all day long and can be very uncomfortable to perform their jobs and hence help out the paying customers. However, there are signs the a full renovastion is coming and will sooon see the much needed changes that the Hotel demands.
