A relaxing spot nestled in a park and steeped in history. A beautiful location minutes from Dickinson College Campus. I was there for a class reunion and discovered this spot as I looked for a location near the college. The owners were warm and very accommodating. Wonderful spot for a casual weekend or event.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Thornwald Mansion. It is nicely secluded in a park yet you are within walking distance to Dickinson College and a shopping center. The property has outstanding amenities and the food selections at breakfast were delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. The room and the bed were comfortable and very quiet. This mansion went under fire and then was rebuilt by the current owner from the ground up paying attention to detail and preserving its history. The grounds are gorgeous. Great location surrounded by trees and park. It was the most relaxing vacation we had had in a long time. We will definitely be back.

There is so much history and this is a beautiful property! The rooms are so comfortable and the hosts are so friendly! We come here every year and this is our second year. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful historic mansion with period furnishings and excellent attention to detail! Innkeeper was very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! Well kept grounds and pleasant scenery. Close to downtown dining. Will definately will be staying here again!
