Inside the hotel, my experience was great. Hotel staff, especially custodial, were very cordial. My vehicle, along with another vehicle, were broken into. Rear driver side window smashed on both vehicles and just a giant mess, with glass everywhere. Nothing taken. Staff acted shocked, but then I read through reviews and noticed this was obviously a pattern. Definitely do not stay here unless you have window coverage on your car insurance.

The King room was just fine-clean. The AC seemed to cycle and it would get very humid in the room. We did like there was a bar available should we have chosen to partake. We did not eat breakfast and so cannot comment as to the quality. Parking was at a premium. All three nights we were fortunate to find a parking spot at all.

Great staff. Had an officer outside in the parking lot when night time rolled around which made us feel safe leaving our car in the parking lot. Rooms were clean, pool was clean, staff had great mannerisms and overall the stay was stress free

Im giving this 2 stars only because the lady at the front desk was very nice, and tried to be very helpful. The first room we got was dirty. Still wet stains on the floor, and when i grabbed a towel to see about cleaning it up... the carpet was beyond filthy. The lady at the front desk gave us a different, upgraded room. The shower and sink had dirty water like someone splashed dirty mop water. There were mystery hairs on the sink, and there was something sticky around the trashcan in the bathroom. And the comforter on the bed had the same dark icky water marks. The woman at the front desk offered to move us again but... whats the point? It was a dirty hotel. She sent someone to change the sheets, and I cleaned the bathroom. I actually took several pictures to add to this review, but the app isnt letting me upload them. But I have NEVER stayed in a Hyatt like this. It was more like a Motel 6.

Everything was pretty great about this property. It was comfortable, felt safe, it was quiet and the location is great for my needs. The breakfast was also very good and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint would be the cleanliness. I let the front desk staff know and they were very apologetic, not a huge deal. Otherwise it was a great home away from Home and I plan to stay there again!

The stay began smoothly especially after a long flight so transitioning into the time change and atmosphere a nice check in was awesome. Thereafter the room refrigerator was broken so they had to change it out the following day which was no problem, they even hold the milk I had downstairs in their refrigerator which was nice. Throughout my time the stay was ok. The breakfast was mediocre, found a roach crawling in my room, but what took it over the top was after a long day out with the kids and time for bed the fire alarm went off woke no explanation of why and what’s going on for about 2-3 minutes. Will I come back im pretty torn between decisions but with the kids no I won’t.

The stay was good but the sheets & duvet comforter needs to be bleached and wash. I had stains on the sheets and comforter so I had to ask for new sheets. We did not use the comforters. It was gross. Please make sure everything is wash for future guest.

The rooms were spacious and clean, just as on pictures. AC was nice and cold. Breakfast was good. Staff was always pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping was on top of things. Pool was clean and had plenty of towels. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

The stay was very good, no complaints honestly and the lady at the front desk was super sweet and accommodating. The only thing I would say is the ac in the room wasn’t getting cold at night, unsure why but that could be not understanding the thermostat so other than that, I would definitely recommend!

What I loved about the location is that it was close to the freeway but not directly off of it. It was quiet inside and had a very nice lobby, the staff that greeted me was also very welcoming. Stacy was so kind and showed excellent customer service during check in. Overall it was an excellent staycation and I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to visit or taking a staycation.

The staff at the front desk are rude, unwelcoming. Their service feels like they are doing a favor to me instead of treating with hospitality. In more than one ocassion staff were talking amongthelseves or on their cellphones very loud with no respect to the guest. I also saw one time one of the receptionist person having a full plate of food and soda in her desk. It nearly feel like been in a cheap motel.Hyatt management team should be looking more closer on this.

This property was great for what we needed for a few days in Katy visiting family. Lots of restaurants nearby. Easy parking. Security in the parking lot at night which is great. Right by the interstate as well. Very happy with my stay! Staff was friendly as well.

arrived at 2.15pm, they would not check me in unless I paid 10dlls becasue apparetly check in is at 3pm. Never seen a policy more petty, or a more anoying positon by a hotel. this hotel is basically the spirit airlines of hotels. Just increase your rates by 10 and don't anger your customers with last minute petty money grabs!

We reserved two rooms and when we arrived at the property our rooms were not ready. Check in is at 3pm. We had to drive around for 3 hours and then only one of the rooms was ready at 8:30 pm. Our other room wasn’t ready until 9:30pm. We had 3 children with us and it was very difficult and inconvenient to not have a room to check in to. It would have been difficult in the best of circumstances, but we have twin 6 year olds that are autistic and it was a nightmare for us having to drive around for hours. If we would have known that the rooms would not be available for 5 to 6 hours after check in, then I could have made the decision to make other arrangements. On the day of checkout, I talked to the front desk about discounting the first night since the rooms weren’t ready. The lady at the front desk was very rude. When I explained to her had I been informed that rooms would not be ready until 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm respectively, I could have made other arrangements. To which she replied: “There was no other hotels available and if I found one it would probably be charging me $400 a night.” The staff asked me to be flexible in the time I checked into our rooms and I was asking them to be flexible in discounting the room. Second, two assumptions she had 1. There were no other hotels available 2. I could not afford $400 nightly. The hotel didn’t have power until 2pm that day, but we were not aware of that. We were getting a hotel because we didn’t have power at our home.

I was disappointed with the morning breakfast set up. There was a waffle machine and microwave purposely removed due to the high traffic of individuals partaking in the breakfast. This occurred long waits for food which were cold and required rewarding which one individual angrily requested that the people in the kitchen reward his breakfast. Also, guest were not allowed to take breakfast to their room where one guest explained they had a handicapped person who was unable to come to the breakfast and due to that they were unable to partake in the “free”” “included” breakfast. This was a very nice hotel. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. The only real negative, and it may have been an off morning, was the coffee was actually cold. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Top shelf mid-level hotel. I mean they have real plates and silverware for breakfast! I hate breakfast buffets but this is just a really good one - fresh fruit (really fresh cut), biscuits, gravy - breakfast taco fixings and a full coffee bar! Room great, too. Definitely will stay here my next trip to Katy

I stayed at Hyatt Place Houston/Katy in October 2026 on a business trip, and the WiFi in my room was unusable for the entire stay. If so, good luck with that, because in 2026 guests will not put up with it, least of all at a hotel that markets itself to business travelers. The front desk's response made it worse. When I reported the problem, I was told it was an issue with my laptop. Nobody offered to reset the access point, check the network, or contact their WiFi support. The same laptop connected instantly at the next hotel I stayed at, with much faster internet, so the problem was clearly not on my end. I was on a longer trip and had planned to extend my stay here. Instead I checked out and moved to another hotel. Hyatt Place lost those extra nights over something as basic as working internet and a front desk willing to take a complaint seriously. If you need to work from your room, book somewhere else.
