Quaint and lovely place for a comfortable rest on the pacific coast. Came out from NJ to meet family and very pleased. Staff is lovely, room is comfortable and it’s all you need! I had the opportunity to stay in room with kitchen/fridge/keurig, which was spacious and comfortable with the warm heat and Dohm sound machine… I sleep well. Short drive to beach and restaurants, walkable to pubs ect. Parked rental car in front of place w/o any issues. Thank you Surf n Sand for a wonderful visit!

The room was spacious, clean and cozy with plenty of extra blankets and pillows to accommodate our kiddos sleeping on the futon. I also loved the full kitchen and supplies that were included! We will definitely be back again, thank you!

The owners are exceptionally kind and made themselves available for all patrons 24/7. It’s a short walk to the beach and the hotel is dog friendly with an area very close to the rooms for the dogs to relieve themselves. Rooms are spacious, clean and have many amenities (fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee, record player). A great place to stay!

The parking was right outside the rooms. It felt safe because the driving entrance into the hotel property was a narrow entrance way. The bed was very comfortable and the gentleman who checked us in was very helpful.

This was probably the best room we have ever rented. The room was meticulously clean and the furnishings and upkeep were perfect. There were no paint dings or light bulb outages and the wifi was fast and good. Congratulations to the owners and to the staff.

The room was ok. Sort of small but recently updated with new carpet and paint. The combed was very hard and uncomfortable, we had a hard time getting good rest. My wife found a spot of blood on one of the pillow sham covers which was an instant omg moment. The sink in the bathroom didn’t have any sort of strainer or plug, so accidentally dropping a ring or piece of jewelry means it’s gone done the drain. Otherwise it was an inexpensive place to stay on the Oregon coast, although I think we will book somewhere else next time.

We love this place and have been coming for years. Great location and they love pets. Place is always clean and the shower pressure and temperature is great. I love that it is small so you aren’t far away from lugging things back and forth from your car. Will be back..again.

The property was old and outdated. Bed was comfortable. My biggest complaint is the noise. There was a blocked off door between the office and the room we had and we could hear everything going on in the office. I presume they could also hear everything in our room.

Enjoyed the hotel and the area as we passed through. Only stayed one night, and didn’t know this was a destination town for affluent vacations. Room was very spacious, with two negatives - hard mattress, and the kind of carpet that always feels kinda moist. Everything else was fine, including the fair price.

Good price, so you get what you pay for. The room felt small, bed was tiny and not too comfortable. Bathroom needs updating (not vanity but toilet-tub-shower area). Location is good. The record player was fun and I liked the in-room amenities, especially the white-noise machine. Property is cute.

Very cute. They had good quality toiletries and towels. The mattress and pillows need an upgrade but everything else was good quality. It’s very close to pelican brewery which is my favorite place to go and the beach there is perfect for small children. The staff is kind and very attentive. It’s easy to get to since it’s right off the highway but I recommend requesting a room towards the back of the property and away from the highway because the trucks are loud at night. Since there was no AC we had to open a window at night and the trucks woke me up a couple times. We will be back.

We stayed here on a whim & it was a great choice! The place is cute, clean & cozy. Close to eating options & minutes away from great beach views… either walk 5 - 10 minutes to the large walk up dune or drive 5 minutes up the road to the Pelican Bay restaurant. Nice touch with the vitrola & your choice of vinyl records. Justin was absolutely welcoming & informative! Not having planned on visiting Pacific City, I have to say we made it a point to get up early & take in as much as we could before hitting the road. THANK YOU for having us!

Lost reservations, very demeaning, blamed me for cancelled reservations which was not true. Found other accommodation. They called several hours later and said they found reservations. Too late. Fortunately found a place to stay considering peak vacation season. Internet pictures and real life two different places.

Simply cannot recommend this place enough. Justin is amazing and seems to respond even before my text gets sent. The location is perfect and my two kids loved it! I've stayed at a lot of hotels over my years and have never seen one with free laundry.

Justin, in the office was excellent start to finish. When we got back to the room from the wedding we’d come for, the cable for the television wasnt working. Called and ge came right over, even at 10:30 pm. Worked until the problem was solved, very pleasant the whole time. We enjoyed our stay.

Extra touches like Vinyl record players in each room, detailed list of what to do and where to eat locally, bonus toiletries. This place is not along the beach, which was just fine for our purposes. The walls are quite thin, which wasn't terrible for us, but not recommended for a light sleeper.

The name surf and sand applies that you are staying at a hotel on the surf and sand. This hotel was in the middle of town about a mile from the beach on a busy road which was very loud. The price of the hotel was expensive for the location. We have been going up the Oregon coast for the last week and staying at little places off the beach. This was the most costly. With no breakfast. But, the room was very, very clean and comfortable with plenty of towels. And the front desk person was very polite and helpful.

I travel a LOT and get tired of Hiltons and Marriotts and Sheratons. When I can, I try to find something local. This hotel is not a 5 star resort by any means. BUT it made up for it with friendly staff, super clean rooms, and a kitschy-reto feel. The rooms are smallish but have the necessary accoutrements and a record player (which Gen Z will not understand). Everything was clean, even if a little worn. They could use new pillows. Very coastal beach feel. I'd recommend staying here for fun, easy access, parking, and proximity to the beach and restaurants. Food and bev will be at one of the local restaurants. I travel a LOT and get tired of Hiltons and Marriotts and Sheratons. When I can, I try to find something local. This hotel is not a 5 star resort by any means. BUT it made up for it with friendly staff, super clean rooms, and a kitschy-reto feel. The rooms are smallish but have the necessary accoutrements and a record player (which Gen Z will not understand). Everything was clean, even if a little worn. They could use new pillows. Very coastal beach feel. I'd recommend staying here for fun, easy access, parking, and proximity to the beach and restaurants. Food and bev will be at one of the local restaurants. This hotel feels "locally owned" and not corporate. Glad I could spend a night and support a local business. Overall, a 5-star review for a 3 star hotel.

The name surf and sand applies that you are staying at a hotel on the surf and sand. This hotel was in the middle of town about a mile from the beach on a busy road which was very loud. The price of the hotel was expensive for the location. We have been going up the Oregon coast for the last week and staying at little places off the beach. This was the most costly. With no breakfast. But, the room was very, very clean and comfortable with plenty of towels. And the front desk person was very polite and helpful.
