We always return to Stock when visiting friends in the area as The Village was our home for 12 years! We have eaten and drank at The Harvard many many times and never been disappointed! Always good to return, reminisce and see the Village develop.

This property is beautiful, it had a lot of character.. So welcoming. Our lovely room used to be the old tables. Cosy clean, private and quiet. The bathroom was a lovely shower wet room. We went into a gorgeous restaurant, the staff were really attentive. The food melted in your mouth. the bar was comfortable, the bar tender, had good knowledge of what he was selling you. The breakfast, my goodness, yet another tasty meal.when you ate there was really soft, nice music in the background. We have stayed in a lot of places over the years. I can honestly say we have never come across anything better than this. We would not hesitate to go back. Thank you, staying with you made the weekend of our daughters wedding, more special.

Very comfortable, great staff, super convenient parking. Didn't eat here in the evening, but Breakfast was excellent and served with a smile, all the staff are spot on. Beware the full English, it's a whopper, there is a small English which will be my choice next time.

The staff at this property is top-tier! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely, clean and had all the amenities. Our stay included free breakfast, which was an added bonus. The attached restaurant and bar served as a great place to gather with friends. I would highly highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely place full of character. Great choice for breakfast and dinner was good here too. Had very good service from all members of staff that we came into contact with. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of storage. The only criticism was that we were disturbed at times during the night by noise from the car park area that our room overlooked e.g. the delivery to the kitchen that arrived at 4am! Apart from that we enjoyed our 2 night stay which was very handy for a wedding at Cronford Park.

Although the Harvard Inn was busy with Sunday diners we were greeted warmly and efficiently. Arriving slightly before check in our room No 9 was ready. First impressions were positive. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Absolutely no complaints about bedroom or bathroom facilities. Only comment would be room was very hot, bathroom window could only be opened slightly (due to hooks in the wrong position) and the lack of a box of tissues. The room was noisy but it is on a busy main road. There was an excellent choice at breakfast all freshly cooked to order. Can’t recommend highly enough especially if like us you have a function at Stock Brook Manor - a very easy 5 minute drive away.

We really enjoyed our brief stay, we were visiting family & Stock was a good base. The room was very nice & very clean. Breakfasts were excellent. Only real issue was the shower panel, not big enough & water went all over the floor.

We like this hotel and have stayed many times before and have future bookings. However, our one gripe is that the pillows are awful. They are thin and hard and very uncomfortable, like sleeping on concrete. These need to be changed for something more comfortable otherwise we might have to reconsider our future stays.

Lovely little hotel/pub. Rooms are good and food is also good. My only complaint is the pillows, which have mentioned before. They are flat and hard and very uncomfortable. It is like resting your head on a wooden board. Change the pillows and I would be very happy.

Nice village inn. Room was clean and had everything you need - just a little compact and underwhelming (more like a motel as we were in the anex directly off the car park). Breakfast excellent - good quality and freshly cooked. Dinner in the inn pretty good and service friendly and efficient.

Really nice hotel. Stayed for a wedding at Crondon Park, only 20 minute walk back. Clean, nice rooms, good breakfast - exactly what we needed. Stayed at Greenwoods Spa the night before, and the rooms here were much nicer in our opinion. They allow you to collect keys from 11:30am, but not use room yet, which is definitely very helpful if you are going to a wedding nearby.

We stayed here as it was convenient for a local wedding. We paid for an early check-in and the room was ready when we arrived. The room was de-luxe and comfortable. the staff were very friendly and courteous. Breakfast provided a good choice, was leisurely, wholesome and tasty. Our only downside was the road noise which is not really surprising for a Coaching Inn from tudor times and earlier

Room was spacious & clean with stylish wet room. Bed was very comfortable. A peaceful night's sleep. Cooked breakfast was average. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely place full of character. Great choice for breakfast and dinner was good here too. Had very good service from all members of staff that we came into contact with. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of storage. The only criticism was that we were disturbed at times during the night by noise from the car park area that our room overlooked e.g. the delivery to the kitchen that arrived at 4am! Apart from that we enjoyed our 2 night stay which was very handy for a wedding at Cronford Park.

Nice village inn. Room was clean and had everything you need - just a little compact and underwhelming (more like a motel as we were in the anex directly off the car park). Breakfast excellent - good quality and freshly cooked. Dinner in the inn pretty good and service friendly and efficient.

I’ve stayed here on business a bunch of times and it is one of my favourite hotels. The entire place is beautifully done and rooms are superb. Breakfasts and dinners are first class and the staff are wonderful. 11/10

This a lovely and well appointed inn. The room I had, no 12, was spacious and the bed comfortable. The one big problem is the lack of Aircon or effective airflow through the windows. It was 29°c when I got back from work.and there was no fridge. The window latches are broken and hard to secure a window at the right angle. The.solution is to not visit when it's hot

The room was clean with lovely crisp linen and fluffy towels. The bathroom was huge and (should you need one) accessible by wheelchair. The room was in the outside area but still quiet except for the occasional car, but if you park directly outside your room, you won’t get anyone else there! Lovely breakfast included and a great night sleep. Super friendly staff.
