Brijrama Palace is a stunning heritage palace on the Ganges that delivered exactly the kind of unforgettable stay I had hoped for. Everything about the property – from its architecture and ambience to the views and experiences – feels carefully crafted and truly special. From the moment we were met at the airport by the inimitable Rakesh, we felt completely looked after, and that care continued seamlessly through to our final drop-off. The private boat ride on the Ganga to the hotel’s own ghat set the scene perfectly and made our arrival feel magical. The welcome at the palace and the way the staff greeted us, always with warm, genuine and accommodating smiles, made us feel like treasured guests rather than just visitors. We stayed in the Maharaja Room, which was exceptional: spacious, elegant and full of character, with a gorgeous bathroom and every comfort we could have hoped for. Everything about our stay was truly fit for a king and queen and made us feel as though we were living like royalty. The food was excellent, with delicious dishes that matched the setting, and all the experiences offered through the hotel were thoughtfully curated and thoroughly enjoyable. From the riverside setting to the cultural touches and quiet moments of calm, it all added up to something far more than just a hotel stay.
