Couldn’t fault the place! Big comfy room, loads of parking, TV with Netflix, WiFi. Basic breakfast available should you wish - bread, sugary type bars, a bit of fruit, OJ etc. Lovely man checked us in and dog friendly to top it off!

It’s on a busy street so the traffic noise and conversations from bar customers on the sidewalk carries into the room. The walk-in shower was a nice surprise but the floor is very slippery. It needs a mat to stop a potential fall. There’s a nice free parking lot in the back but on the weekend when the restaurant and bar are busy, it gets full in the early evening.

Attended the Elbow Rooms when visiting afriend. Had a lovely time. Staff were all very friendly. Hotel room was spotless and our meals in the restaurant were delicious. The small bar area with karaoke made for an excellent night too.

Excellent venue with plenty of off-road parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are compact but clean with plenty of clothes storage and have a fridge. There is two microwaves just nearby where the Continental Breakfast is, of which there is a good variety of items. Ideal for pets as there is a rear staircase which leads to the carpark and grassed area. Ideal location for people attending events at the Royal Highland Centre especially the SKC Championship Show or flying from Edinburgh Airport as it only took us 30 minutes to get there. Cannot comment about the restaurant as when we arrived it was closed but we were directed to an excellent Fish and Chip shop just 2 minutes walk away.

We chose The Elbow Room based on other reviews and because it was a stop that fit our travel itinerary. Overall, what you receive for your money is probably a reasonable balance. Translation: inexpensive but you don't get much. I would say that the owners are trying their best but missing the mark. The breakfast was mediocre at best and the cleanliness so so. The shower stall walls need a thorough cleaning. What looked like a pattern in the wall material was actually mildew streaked up and down. We aren't aren't upset about our stay but rather concede that the Elbow Room is one those you get what you pay for places. You can certainly find better options that will cost more and perhaps we should have done just that.

Checked into room via the pub , with after hours access by outdoor staircase, as nobody on site when pub was closed. The room was clean, but cramped with two single beds. The continental breakfast assortment was outside of the bedrooms, for you to help yourself, and eat in the room. Overall it was a satisfactory stay.

Having eaten here for many years, with excellent service, and even having mum's funeral tea there, thought it would be ideal to stay and celebrate the 1st anniversary of her passing. Big mistake. Arrived to be advised there was a function, but not explained what this entailed properly - no warning of this when booking. It transpired that all rooms are above the function suite, which means 4-5 hours noise. A downright unhelpful manageress appeared to advise it was a hotel and was to be expected. No apologies or attempt made at resolution so we packed our bags and left. Have stayed in hotels and pubs all over the world and this has to be our worst experience.

The hotel has clean areas. There was no direct phone in the room to talk to the staff. There is no 24 hour staff either. The rooms have no sound barriers whatsoever. We could easily hear the next room talking past midnight. The windows to the street do not block the street noise. We easily heard the cars driving in the street in the middle of night. .

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Elbow Room! Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, lots of selection and the restaurant serves very delicious food! We also enjoyed the pub every evening. 😊

Stayed here to go an ice hockey game. First time in Fife and staying in the Elbow Room. Amazing location for the Ice Hockey and lovely friendly staff. Room was clean and had no issues. Breakfast available 24 hours which was great. Will definitely stay again as place was full of character.

Great stay. Was just there for one night for the ice hockey which is a 2 minute walk away. Room was lovely, very clean and nice touch having bottles of water in the fridge. Continental breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Balcony was a great bonus too. Only slight negative is that its quite noisy outside the rooms with other guests walking by so worth talking earplugs.

Very nice stay.lovely dinner. Very good excellent service. Nice friendly chef. Good service in the bar. The owner is very nice and helpful, as the entire staff are.the bedroom was a good size,at the rear of hotel,no traffic noise.comfortable bed.great sleep. We will definitely stay there again.

I chose the twin room, as I was solo. The sleeping area was tiny, but really- how much is needed? 🙂 Decorated very cute and crisp, and the bathroom was huge and updated. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. On a busy street, but I slept right thru that.

Ideal location for people attending events at the Royal Highland Centre especially the SKC Championship Show or flying from Edinburgh Airport as it only took us 30 minutes to get there. Cannot comment about the restaurant as when we arrived it was closed but we were directed to an excellent Fish and Chip shop just 2 minutes walk away.

Excellent venue with plenty of off-road parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are compact but clean with plenty of clothes storage and have a fridge. There is two microwaves just nearby where the Continental Breakfast is, of which there is a good variety of items. Ideal for pets as there is a rear staircase which leads to the carpark and grassed area. Couldn’t fault the place! Big comfy room, loads of parking, TV with Netflix, WiFi. Basic breakfast available should you wish - bread, sugary type bars, a bit of fruit, OJ etc. Lovely man checked us in and dog friendly to top it off!

We chose The Elbow Room based on other reviews and because it was a stop that fit our travel itinerary. Overall, what you receive for your money is probably a reasonable balance. Translation: inexpensive but you don't get much. I would say that the owners are trying their best but missing the mark. The breakfast was mediocre at best and the cleanliness so so. The shower stall walls need a thorough cleaning. What looked like a pattern in the wall material was actually mildew streaked up and down. We aren't aren't upset about our stay but rather concede that the Elbow Room is one those you get what you pay for places. You can certainly find better options that will cost more and perhaps we should have done just that.

Stayed here to go an ice hockey game. First time in Fife and staying in the Elbow Room. Amazing location for the Ice Hockey and lovely friendly staff. Room was clean and had no issues. Breakfast available 24 hours which was great. Will definitely stay again as place was full of character.

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and check-in was easy. The room was a good size, lovely and clean and with lovely balcony outside. All facilities available in our room for comfort and cosy warm bed. We ate in the restaurant for 2 nights out of 3 and although the menu was dated, the food was tasty and drinks good.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Elbow Room! Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, lots of selection and the restaurant serves very delicious food! We also enjoyed the pub every evening. 😊

Room was very hot but there was a tower fan and I did get a good night's sleep. Shower good, sink cracked. My only real criticism was that I couldn't take advantage of breakfast as they don't start until 9am. I was working so far too late for me.

Inn is clean, though windows are not well insulated for noise leading to hearing every car that passes the busy road. The beds are comfy though room 4 has what appears to be a king sized frame with a double mattress. The central support frame takes up a large bit of the mattress and would be really uncomfortable to share. As a solo traveler pulling the matter to ones side offset this but the correct sized frame would give more space to an already small room. Having a fridge in every room is a great touch and access to a toaster and microwave is helpful as restaurant times are limited if your an early riser or a like a later dinner
