It is an older beautiful building and kept in its original character. There are quirks, of course, and that goes along with the character. It sits just feet from the water, with gorgeous views. The people were fantastic as well as the food!!! I stayed here because it was a central location for my travels. Even with the live band (yes -LIVE), it was fairly peaceful and quiet in my room. A little far from amenities, but it is Ireland, so there's not a Kwik Shop every 2 miles 😉

Awesome pub/restaurant/hotel basically on its own private road on a lake. Friendly staff. There’s a game room with a pool table and darts.

We arrived late and the staff was very helpful in getting us settled. It’s a wonderful location by the lake where our kids went for a swim and we had drinks at the bar. We had a lovely walk around the lake after the yummy breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a great stop in our travels through Ireland.

Un endroit hors du temps, une vue sublime et un personnel agréable. Une chambre propre avec le confort nécessaire malgré une déco vieillissante. Nous avons pu assister à un petit concert au sein de l’établissement le soir même. Un petit déjeuner délicieux et très copieux. Je recommande vivement cet établissement pour les amoureux de nature et ceux qui veulent faire une halte aux lacs du Connemara

No other residents. Bar/Restaurant closed and no staff there after I checked in until next morning. Not close to Headford. Had to exit through side door to get to my car and drive about ten miles to get dinner.

We had a great family stay. We were right on the water so lots for everyone to do. The bar below was staffed with friendly people, honestly all the staff from bar to manager to cleaning staff were all lovely! When we checked in, there was an issue with our booking (it said 3 ppl but we were 4 so the room we had been allocated only slept 3) but the Manager sorted it out immediately ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of. Those pieces don't go unnoticed. Overall a super stay and we would highly recommend!

Friendly staff. Quiet location on a lake. Delicious bar food. Room was small but bed comfortable. Toilet seat not connected to toilet and one of the paper insulated cups for tea or coffee had obviously been used as it was stained with drink made in it. No shower or hair soap and conditioner provided.

Out in the middle of nowhere, this hotel is fabulously situated by the lake. I just wish I had had more time to explore. Bar staff friendly, locals friendly, and busier than you might expect. Food was good, although I was too late out to try the breakfast. Rooms are a bit basic, and I was kept awake by the wind whistling through the double glazing, but that's probably just the one room. Recommended, I'd certainly book again.

We had a great time at the Greenfield Lodge. The staff was very nice and the building was very clean. The cook ist an amazing Pianist and a very cool person. The full Irish breakfast ist amazing and kept our bellies filled for an entire day. We would definitly recommend this place. Thanks for the nice stay

Room was too warm, patio doors did not open and only one very small window. Windows in room and restaurant very dirty and many cobwebs and dead flies. Bed frame was noisiest I have ever come across, loud squeak at the slightest movement. Breakfast was a fiasco, no cereals, only porridge which I ordered followed by omelette but the omelette was served first. Waiter was a pleasant young man, French, and very apologetic explaining it was his first week. We could hear arguments in the kitchen between the chef and the young waiter. The young lady on reception was pleasant and helpful and the room was clean, just the flies spoiled it. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, just needs someone there all the time to keep an eye on things.

Booked a double room but given twin beds and a room change was unavailable as they were “fully booked”. This wasn’t the case as there were only three vehicles in the car park while we were there and around 20 rooms. Given the location was miles from anywhere I doubt they attract many people on foot! The room was passable but the bathroom was unpleasant with a mouldy shower area. The whole place is in need of some modernisation. The “free breakfast” was never mentioned, but given the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom we didn’t fancy it anyway. We stayed in four hotels during our visit to Ireland and this was by far the most disappointing.

This place is in a beautiful and peaceful location. Obviously a lot of time has been spent upgrading the place. Just a wee bit disappointed in our room. The shower was a major let down. Needs a do over desperately. Otherwise it is a grand place to stay if you are wanting to get away from it all.

We rented the 3 bed for four persons. It was an odd experience being greeted and walking thru the bar patrons. The person greeting us, maybe the bar tender? was brusque but not rude. Once we arrived thru the courtyard (quite nice) we were given our room. Safe to say the double bed was most likely the worst bed I have ever slept on. I considered to sleep on the floor at one point. The beautiful boats and water outside was lovely as we arrived at sunset. We had full Irish breakfast and French toast. The free breakfast was a nice add on. The price of the room €290 was quite steep for the accommodations.

L’hôtel est très bien situé avec une très joli vue. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et copieux. Bémol : le lit est très bruyant (grincement) et pas de nécessaire de toilettes dans la salle de bain notamment pour se doucher (savon shampoings) Personne agréable.

We had a room with a lake view it was FANTASTIC!! We had a wonderful stay. Food was so flavorful great menu. We definitely enjoyed our stay here. I would stay here again. Staff was lovely.

The service at the Greenfield Lodge was some of the best we received on our trip. The proprietor was very kind and gracious and went out of his way to meet our needs. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. The property is a bit off the beaten path but totally worth the drive. It was quiet and perfect for an evening stroll or morning run.

No other residents. Bar/Restaurant closed and no staff there after I checked in until next morning. Not close to Headford. Had to exit through side door to get to my car and drive about ten miles to get dinner.

We had a great family stay. We were right on the water so lots for everyone to do. The bar below was staffed with friendly people, honestly all the staff from bar to manager to cleaning staff were all lovely! When we checked in, there was an issue with our booking (it said 3 ppl but we were 4 so the room we had been allocated only slept 3) but the Manager sorted it out immediately ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of. Those pieces don't go unnoticed. Overall a super stay and we would highly recommend!

It is an older beautiful building and kept in its original character. There are quirks, of course, and that goes along with the character. It sits just feet from the water, with gorgeous views. The people were fantastic as well as the food!!! I stayed here because it was a central location for my travels. Even with the live band (yes -LIVE), it was fairly peaceful and quiet in my room. A little far from amenities, but it is Ireland, so there's not a Kwik Shop every 2 miles 😉

The service at the Greenfield Lodge was some of the best we received on our trip. The proprietor was very kind and gracious and went out of his way to meet our needs. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. The property is a bit off the beaten path but totally worth the drive. It was quiet and perfect for an evening stroll or morning run.

We had a room with a lake view it was FANTASTIC!! We had a wonderful stay. Food was so flavorful great menu. We definitely enjoyed our stay here. I would stay here again. Staff was lovely.

Un endroit hors du temps, une vue sublime et un personnel agréable. Une chambre propre avec le confort nécessaire malgré une déco vieillissante. Nous avons pu assister à un petit concert au sein de l’établissement le soir même. Un petit déjeuner délicieux et très copieux. Je recommande vivement cet établissement pour les amoureux de nature et ceux qui veulent faire une halte aux lacs du Connemara

Out in the middle of nowhere, this hotel is fabulously situated by the lake. I just wish I had had more time to explore. Bar staff friendly, locals friendly, and busier than you might expect. Food was good, although I was too late out to try the breakfast. Rooms are a bit basic, and I was kept awake by the wind whistling through the double glazing, but that's probably just the one room. Recommended, I'd certainly book again.

We had a great time at the Greenfield Lodge. The staff was very nice and the building was very clean. The cook ist an amazing Pianist and a very cool person. The full Irish breakfast ist amazing and kept our bellies filled for an entire day. We would definitly recommend this place. Thanks for the nice stay

Great stay! Very quiet and peaceful area, the staff was welcoming and accommodating. The food is really good as well. We had dinner as well as breakfast, portion size is very agreeable. Highly recommended for those looking for great views and peace and quiet.

We loved the Greenfield Lodge for many reasons. Mainly, it gave us a chance to experience Ireland outside a city setting. It is a peaceful, beautiful setting right off a lake. The Chef was our favorite. Each morning, he prepared a breakfast from scratch based on exactly what we wanted. He is very talented and kind.

Nice manager who took care of a Bedding situation problem in Expedia booking.... Supposed to be 4 adults booking, traveling with teenagers. And we all had dinner and Breakfast there and excellent food though limited options. Throughly enjoyed...kudos to the Chef.

Room was too warm, patio doors did not open and only one very small window. Windows in room and restaurant very dirty and many cobwebs and dead flies. Bed frame was noisiest I have ever come across, loud squeak at the slightest movement. Breakfast was a fiasco, no cereals, only porridge which I ordered followed by omelette but the omelette was served first. Waiter was a pleasant young man, French, and very apologetic explaining it was his first week. We could hear arguments in the kitchen between the chef and the young waiter. The young lady on reception was pleasant and helpful and the room was clean, just the flies spoiled it. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, just needs someone there all the time to keep an eye on things.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Greefield Lodge in Headford, IE. We found it to be an older, rustic lodge, but the overall lodge and our room was clean, although a bit sparse, and the beds were very comfortable. We also appreciated the tea and coffee service in the room. Crystal, the manager, was amazing! She was so helpful, professional, and friendly, and also served as our bartender and server. Her husband, Stefan, is the chef, and his food is outstanding! They both made our stay very enjoyable and memorable! We also loved that the lodge is located so close to the water, with amazing views, especially from the lodge's restaurant.
