This is a very sweet spot. We had a great time, even though it rained most of the time we were there. We had the opportunity to use the canoe a few times even with the rain, and we also enjoyed the fire pit one night. We would definitely book again!

All I can say is, I'm so thankful we found this little mountain paradise! It's beautiful and rustic and everything we hoped it would be! It's clean and fresh and comfortable. It has everything you need for a great vacay! We played on the lake(our daughter learned to paddleboard!). We rested and cooked wonderful meals in the cabin. The wifi was super! We soaked in the hot tub, and just sat on the porch enjoying the natural beauty of the lake and mountains. We seriously can not wait to go back already!

We had an amazing stay in Mountain Rest. I lived in the community and worked on the river as a guide for 8 years. I am down here often, but wanted a nice place to put our family for a long weekend. This cabin was perfect! We swam in the lake, made s’mores by the fire, paddled the sup boards around and had some great conversation on the screened in porch. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

Loved this cabin- was perfect for me and my family for a long weekend. My family loved all the water toys and spend most of our time on the lake. Our pups loved the property too. It is situated perfectly- far enough off grid to really get away but close enough to state parks and other amenities. Would definitely recommend and would like to visit again in the summer!

We had a wonderful week at this property! JoAnn was so helpful ,from answering all of my questions leading up to our stay to reaching out while we were there to make sure everything was going well. The house was a perfect lakeside cabin with a wonderful screened in porch and fire pit. We enjoyed the hot tub at night and the dock and the lake during the day. As a bonus, there was an amazing fire works show on July 4th right there from thr lake! We would love to go back and enjoy another stay!

Some friends and I took a few night off of backpacking and stayed at this house. It was wonderful, we used the kayaks and Jon Boat and fished to our hearts content. The cabin is classic and comfortable. Would 100% stay again. The host was incredibly hospitable and accommodating.

This is a peaceful and beautiful location by the lake. While we didn\'t get to use the lake toys, there are lots available to you. 4 beds means the whole family can go without anyone having to sleep on the couch, which is a nice change from most smaller cabins. This property could definitely benefit from having a dishwasher, as cooking is the only option for dinner since nothing delivers. Dishes add up quickly and other guests don\'t necessarily wash dishes to the same "clean" standard. Pets are welcome and doggy doo bags are included, which was a nice little detail. Our dog loved her multiple times a day walks and sitting on the deck looking out over the lake with us.

This cabin is wonderful! It is clean, comfortable, and has all the amenities needed for a stay. The host is very helpful and communicative. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! My family only stayed for 2 nights, but I was sorry to leave. I hope to visit again!

A week with family at this cute little cabin. Lots of fun kayaking and finding new places to hike and waterfalls to see. Not much to do in the little town but we had plenty to do at the cabin. It rained most of our stay but none of us cared. Sitting on the lake view porch was great for coffee and cocktails. Really nice fire pit and indoor gas fire place. Cooked on the grill most every night. Super comfy beds and living space. Went to Helen and to Bryson to white water raft. The property manager was amazing. Responsive and so easy to communicate with. Had a wonderful family get together and this quaint little cabin did everything we needed it to do.

One of our favorite stays. VERY quiet close to many small towns well worth exploring (Walhalla, Highlands, NC, Cashiers NC). Wish we had stayed longer. Communications with property manager were great, responses very prompt. Gave us great ideas for places we had not thought about for food shopping, etc. peaceful relaxing stay for our anniversary. Well stocked with everything needed. We brought perishables, of course, but also enjoyed local restaurants (recommend reaching out to property manager for her EXCELLENT suggestions)

We had a very enjoyable stay at the cabin. Check-in was a breeze, and it was ready for us when we arrived. The kids loved the lake, the dock, and the paddle boards. Everything was clean and comfortable. The views out of the deck were beautiful and relaxing. We would definitely recommend staying at this cabin.

This cabin is wonderful! It is clean, comfortable, and has all the amenities needed for a stay. The host is very helpful and communicative. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! My family only stayed for 2 nights, but I was sorry to leave. I hope to visit again!

Such a wonderful time! On a beautiful, quiet lake. My husband and I booked this for our honeymoon and we did not want to leave! Everything was perfect. The host even left us a wedding card, cake, and flowers- above and beyond thoughtful! Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again! If I could do more than 5 stars I would

Great little lakeside cabin was an easy drive to the river for rafting and fly fishing. Owner was super nice and responsive to any of our needs. Would definitely go back!

One of our favorite stays. VERY quiet close to many small towns well worth exploring (Walhalla, Highlands, NC, Cashiers NC). Wish we had stayed longer. Communications with property manager were great, responses very prompt. Gave us great ideas for places we had not thought about for food shopping, etc. peaceful relaxing stay for our anniversary. Well stocked with everything needed. We brought perishables, of course, but also enjoyed local restaurants (recommend reaching out to property manager for her EXCELLENT suggestions)

All I can say is, I'm so thankful we found this little mountain paradise! It's beautiful and rustic and everything we hoped it would be! It's clean and fresh and comfortable. It has everything you need for a great vacay! We played on the lake(our daughter learned to paddleboard!). We rested and cooked wonderful meals in the cabin. The wifi was super! We soaked in the hot tub, and just sat on the porch enjoying the natural beauty of the lake and mountains. We seriously can not wait to go back already!

A week with family at this cute little cabin. Lots of fun kayaking and finding new places to hike and waterfalls to see. Not much to do in the little town but we had plenty to do at the cabin. It rained most of our stay but none of us cared. Sitting on the lake view porch was great for coffee and cocktails. Really nice fire pit and indoor gas fire place. Cooked on the grill most every night. Super comfy beds and living space. Went to Helen and to Bryson to white water raft. The property manager was amazing. Responsive and so easy to communicate with. Loved this cabin- was perfect for me and my family for a long weekend. My family loved all the water toys and spend most of our time on the lake. Our pups loved the property too. It is situated perfectly- far enough off grid to really get away but close enough to state parks and other amenities. Would definitely recommend and would like to visit again in the summer!

This is a peaceful and beautiful location by the lake. While we didn\'t get to use the lake toys, there are lots available to you. 4 beds means the whole family can go without anyone having to sleep on the couch, which is a nice change from most smaller cabins. This property could definitely benefit from having a dishwasher, as cooking is the only option for dinner since nothing delivers. Dishes add up quickly and other guests don\'t necessarily wash dishes to the same "clean" standard. Pets are welcome and doggy doo bags are included, which was a nice little detail. Our dog loved her multiple times a day walks and sitting on the deck looking out over the lake with us.

Very nice property. We arrived on a Tuesday and left on a Saturday. The community and lake are extremely quiet and peaceful. The house is spotless. The outside trees were dropping little tiny things which was a mess but just wear slides or something to use the hottub. This is a very welcoming place to stay and enjoy. We will be back hopefully in the fall.
