Days Inn by Wyndham New Orleans Pontchartrain

In a sketchy neighborhood. we were notified that we needed to keep the contents of our car hidden or our car would be broken into. No ice machine.

There is no elevator, light fixture broken in room hallway and room smelled. Not enough towels. No inside outside curtain, if you opened the curtains everyone outside the window will see you.

Bed was squeaky, other than that it met all my needs except workout room was unavailable.

Easy check in, nice bed and the room was very big and good to use, with the fridge and small stove. My only issue was the parking lot that seemed a bit questionable bcuz of the dark and flickering lights, but they had lots of cameras and my car was safe when i checked out in the morning and I had no problems.

No alavator

Called hotel to ask question and kept getting hung up on . Then when we finally arrive to hotel receptionist on private phone call every time we went to front desk. Breakfast was awful not much choices. Housekeeping went to room with donot disurbsign up. Toielt wasnt flushed when we first went to room . Fitness equipment not working.

Ac didn’t work properly! No elevator. Stairs are falling apart! Online listing stated bourbon and canal street 6mins in distance. It was over an 20mins drive.

There was no elevator in the property and the stairs seemed uneven. The property was in poor condition.

The compliment breakfast was horrible. Everything was outdated and spoiled. The hotel had the smell of mold and mildew. Also there is a no smoking policy however individuals still smoked marijuana. Also there are individuals that permanently live in the hotel on the second floor. Also don't go in the second floor it looks like a scene out of a horror movie. This is also where the ice machine is located

It was pretty clean in room except for some spots had mold form on the ceiling. I liked the kitchenette. There is no elevator so if you have luggage you have to bring them up and down ackward stairs. The outside area was unsafe outside and it was limited transportation

Guy at check in didn’t speak the best English. Was on the phone with someone else telling him what to do and saying he was new. Room was fairly clean and updated but sheets on one of the beds were stained/dirty. Went back up to let the guy know. He called a different lady who came down and just handed me about set of sheets. AC and fridge were off when we got to our room and took forever to cool down.

They had 2 roaches in 226. A small stain on the sheet but I think because it washed but didn’t come off . Other than that the stay was great !

Not the worst but not the best. The cleanliness needs improvement. The place overall looks quite shabby and unkempt. There were 2 small roaches. Didn’t ruin my night but it certainly wasn’t pleasant either. Staff were all very kind and accommodating. Close to shopping center.

The pictures of this Days Inn branch made it seem decent. Upon arrival it was anything but that. Even though the smoking area was a covered patio outside, the entire lobby and hallway reeked of weed. It also smelled moist and musty in the hallways and room, so they need tons of dehumidifiers. The room's vinyl floor was not swept, so you need slippers or socks to walk around. In the reservation we stated there would be 3 adults, we only receiving enough bath towels for 2. On top of that, the bath towels and washcloths need to be replaced as they did not look clean. In fact, one of our washcloths had blue stains on it. There was a thick layer of dust on all the lighting, rust along the drain in the tub and the bath water did not drain well. The only benefit (and reason for 2 stars) to this place was the availability, pricing and close distance to the location of the event we attended.

This place is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! I even tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the lady behind the desk in the morning had such a nonchalant, nasty attitude, I was like yeahhh naw! Got to this place super late because my flight was extremely delayed. I arrived at almost 2am. It was already some sketchy stuff going on outside and in the hallways but I just went to my room. As I’m standing in the room I’m already noticing that the floorboards they put down are coming up. The tv barely works - it turns on but is super glitchy…. Every few seconds it’s glitching and buffering. I sit my things down to start grabbing clothes out of my luggage and there is A ROACH, calmly walking to the bed. Normally the lights or noise make them run - not this one. It kept calmly walking and proceeded to CRAWL UP THE BED! I almost SCREAMED!!!! I grabbed my things and went to the front desk and told them about what happened. I got moved to another room on the opposite end of the hall. At this point, it’s about 3am. This room was much nicer in appearance. I turned on all the lights and checked around. I didn’t see any activity but did notice random a few substances and debris by the back of the bed and behind it. Whatever - I just wanted to sleep. I laid down in ALL OF MY CLOTHES. I woke up around 730/8 to use the bathroom and immediately stopped because there was a HUGE ROACH ON THE FLOOR taking A NAP!!! I started packing my stuff to leave bc what the heck?!?

Place is very nasty, dirty sheets dirty towels and the room smells really bad.

The room smelled really bad and had roaches.

The property alone was standard but there was water damage on the roof and there was bed bugs

The check in process was quick and easy, the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Would stay again.

The room is exactly like the picture. Spacious and very clean. The hotel is dated but it met our needs:). The staff was amazing. Very nice and accommodating! There is a Walmart and a number of restaurants near by. about 12-15 min from the French Quarter.

My only issue was they could have informed me about not have working television in any of the rooms before booking my reservation.

No TV, this should have been told to me upon check-in

This is an upgraded older property with spacious rooms and a kitchenette. They've done a good job with the amenities and renovation. The clerk was very nice and upgraded our room.

Our stay was for three nights, the toilet seat was loose so balance was needed also the bath tub doesn’t have a plug so only shower. On arrival we were informed that no tv was available in any rooms for the duration of our stay.

The owner/Manager of the property was always available, helpful and very kind!

The check in process was quick and easy, the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Would stay again.

Only one out of three clerks was nice, they leave the front desk unattended at night

Customer service was great

Front desk worker was rude when I was checking in, he left me waiting and kept talking over the phone for 15 minutes and then told me my room was not ready and come back in 30 minutes. When I finally checked in and went to my room, I asked the cleaning lady how long has my room been ready, she told me an hour ago! After checking out and getting my receipt, 5 hours later the manager called me and accused me for locking my card and she cannot proceed with the payment, although I was charged in full 2 nights prior my departure. I even tried to call the manager 3 times to sort this out and he didn’t pick up. Will never ever stay there again!

It was fine if you need somewhere to stay but most of the staff is very rude and dismissive. there was only one very helpful man, I didn’t catch his name.

I chose this hotel for its convenient parking while attending the Taylor Swift concert, but the experience was beyond ridiculous. When I tried to check in, the front desk handed me a room key—only for me to open the door and find that the room was already occupied by two other travelers. My friend and I were completely shocked. We immediately went back to the front desk, only to be told that the standard room with two beds, which I had confirmed, was no longer available—the only option left was a Queen-size bed. This was completely unacceptable, as my friend (a female companion) and I are just friends. To make matters worse, the room had an unpleasant smell, adding to the overall nightmare of this stay. There was no explanation, no apology, and certainly no compensation for this absolute mess. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Unbelievable.

The bed made a clunking noise every time you move. Staff enter our room to or towels and didn't replace them. We had the do not disturb hung on the door.

Terrible area! We stayed thinking it was for only 1 night, boy we were wrong! On the ground floor lots of yelling, screaming, fighting outside our door. We packed our bags and ran for our life to get into the car. We speede away and thought never again!! Cheap pricing isn’t necessarily the best choice. The girl at the front desk was very nice.

It felt unsafe

Location was perfect, places to eat around in a walk-in distance and a Wal-mart a couple of minutes away. Customer service was great. Breakfast can improve. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and daily housekeeping.

The staff and facilities were fine . It felt unsafe in terms of location and was not near Downtown or popular attractions .

Staff were nice, room was clean, but breakfast was lacking. Only hot item was waffles, wasn’t worth going to it in the morning. The hotel was close to everything, within 10-15 minutes of French Quarter.

Reviews make it better than it is. Need a car not much to do in the area.

Room was decent for price. The location was great for jazz fest and sightseeing in New Orleans. Smelled like weed on several occasions.

For the cost the room was ok. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was just waffles and toast so very disappointed in that. Didnt feel safe.

Staff was really nice and room was clean but other parts in the hotel were not so clean, breakfast was messing and dirty. They had a tub of butter for everyone to dip in and use, which was dirty all inside, so not very sanitary.

Everything was great except the breakfast. It was 9 am and it was empty, they didn't refill anything, when I went to ask for it they only put coffee and a couple of pieces of bread just for me but people were coming and there was nothing for anybody else and breakfast was supposed to be until 10 am, that's not nice :(

Complinary breakfast was very lacking. Absolutely no fruit for breakfast and very limited on other breakfast food

Smell in room, which even staff don’t know. Staff very nice and cooperative. Breakfast not good just coffee and donuts. Must some verity. But they’re nothing. If I have to give rating about breakfast (0).

We were looking for a resonably priced place to spend the night in New Orleans. This hotel was close to the attraction we wanted to visit. It was fairly clean but run down. Breakfast was provided but the options were waffles or cereal and the milk was spoiled so we ended up eating elsewhere.

The staff was as friendly as they could be but that was the only good experience. I chose this property because I needed to save money and the breakfast would have helped. There was two muffins and a few slices of bread. They had the waffle maker but no waffle mix on my five day trip. It appeared to be the exact same items every day, like if someone didn't grab it it would stay the next day. On my second morning 6:20 am the fire alarm went off and we were told not to evacuate. I was told by the staff a customer had too much steam from his shower. On the forth morning around 7am the fire alarm went off again but that morning it continued the go off every few mins. There was no sleeping in. The only thing good about this place was I had a place to lay my head, so if that's all you need then you're good to go.

Rooms were spotless and the staff were polite and very accommodating. Pillows weren't very comfortable but the beds were nice. They were kind of full the three days we were there so we had to get to breakfast early otherwise there wouldn't be anything left. Overall we were pleased with our stay.

This hotel was your average hotel. It was relatively clean in the room while the hallways could’ve used some work and in a good area. However, there were no options for breakfast. It was yogurt, a fruit cup and waffles.

Not the best area. Hotel looks nice from the photo but it is just average in an average area. Room was big. Breakfast was not great
