A few plug sockets in the room didn’t work, a few outdated equipment: some handles didn’t work. Aircon didn’t work so room was very warm and hotel full of mosquitoes. Staff very friendly and helpful

Paid a premium to stay at Montcalm Royal London House. Left a personal item in a robe; housekeeping removed it; it’s never been recovered. Notably, similar issues appear in other guest reviews. No responsibility, no resolution. Now escalating through the courts. Keep your valuables on you.

There was work going on which meant only 2 of the 4 lifts were working which was a little annoying. This was due to a programme of works going on. However the staff were all excellent and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms comfortable. They could have been a little more polished with a net curtain missing from one window and the tea selection is very random! Overall a nice place but just needs to maintain its once high standards
