The property is amazing! Everything is in the details. It’s super clean, peaceful, the pool is awesome, view is great, decor is INCREDIBLE, loved the record player and LPs in the room. Love the movies, the taffy in the jars, the staff are so sweet, positive and lovely. The food is also really great. The only thing is check in is at 4pm which is a little late IMO.

Hard to write a review of this property, the staff were genuinely lovely and extremely helpful, however the first night we were allocated a room to the front of the hotel, and due to noise we didn’t sleep at all. They gracefully allowed us to move when we raised the issue and the second room was much better. The rooms are a little tired. Furniture is a Laraine’s and walls need a re-paint, but they also have a lovely charm. Good location and beautiful beach. Having to pay a gratuity on the free breakfast everyday was a bit of a sting. Along with being charged the full resort fee despite the swimming pool not being operational when we stayed.

Beautiful and clean property and overall pretty good experience for a couple of nights. Our mattress was not very comfortable and likely needed to be replaced. It dipped in some parts. The pool was cold and definitely was not at 90 (nor even 80 or 70 degrees) temperature as advertised. More likely the pool temperature was in the 60s. Short walk to lovely Shaw’s Cove but there are limited spots to set your things up and it was very crowded.

We really wanted to like this hotel. We had such high hopes. We were having a romantic getaway. The property itself is pretty, the decor is super cute and the food/bar is good. That's where it ends. After arriving a little early for check in (just before 2pm) I knew I would have to wait for my room. I was told 45 minutes. So I grabbed a drink and some food and sat on the terrace and enjoyed that sun. At 4pm I finally asked if my room was ready and was told the "final touches" were being added. I was taken to my room at 4:45pm. The room faced Pacific Coast Highway and all night long you can hear every single car that goes by. It's super loud. At one point I put water into my water bottle from the tap and it was cloudy and dirty. We asked another guest about their room and they said you could hear everything in the room next door - showers, toilets, doors etc. When we addressed the concerns we felt like we were patted on the head and told "oh well". It's too bad - the property itself is really quite pretty so I was hoping for a better experience.

Free of televisions, telephones, only the vintage record player and vinyl selection to enhance your stay. Small detailed touches like morning coffee delivered to your door add to the properties charm. The staff was so kind,I look forward to my next visit!

Beautiful place in a great location. The service is underwhelming, bordering on disinterested. Particularly before they received my reservation, they were a bit rude. I have mobility challenges, when i asked for a chair in the shower, the receptionist pointed to a few chairs and said “ you can take that one, no one uses it” instead of offering to bring a chair there. Not a bad experience, just for the price, the service is very mediocre
Beautiful place in a great location. The service is underwhelming, bordering on disinterested. Particularly before they received my reservation, they were a bit rude. I have mobility challenges, when i asked for a chair in the shower, the receptionist pointed to a few chairs and said “ you can take that one, no one uses it” instead of offering to bring a chair there. Not a bad experience, just for the price, the service is very mediocre

We really wanted to like this hotel. We had such high hopes. We were having a romantic getaway. The property itself is pretty, the decor is super cute and the food/bar is good. That's where it ends. After arriving a little early for check in (just before 2pm) I knew I would have to wait for my room. I was told 45 minutes. So I grabbed a drink and some food and sat on the terrace and enjoyed that sun. At 4pm I finally asked if my room was ready and was told the "final touches" were being added. I was taken to my room at 4:45pm. The room faced Pacific Coast Highway and all night long you can hear every single car that goes by. It's super loud. At one point I put water into my water bottle from the tap and it was cloudy and dirty. We asked another guest about their room and they said you could hear everything in the room next door - showers, toilets, doors etc. When we addressed the concerns we felt like we were patted on the head and told "oh well". It's too bad - the property itself is really quite pretty so I was hoping for a better experience.

The property is amazing! Everything is in the details. It’s super clean, peaceful, the pool is awesome, view is great, decor is INCREDIBLE, loved the record player and LPs in the room. Love the movies, the taffy in the jars, the staff are so sweet, positive and lovely. The food is also really great. The only thing is check in is at 4pm which is a little late IMO.

The property is a very short walk to the water. All of the staff were warm and welcoming. The aesthetics are really nice and not campy like other beach properties. They made my Christmas very nice with a sweet little gift under the tree.

Beautiful and clean property and overall pretty good experience for a couple of nights. Our mattress was not very comfortable and likely needed to be replaced. It dipped in some parts. The pool was cold and definitely was not at 90 (nor even 80 or 70 degrees) temperature as advertised. More likely the pool temperature was in the 60s. Short walk to lovely Shaw’s Cove but there are limited spots to set your things up and it was very crowded.

We liked the location , the beach access, the bar. The staff seems to be unexperienced, we expected little touches that usually small hotels offer. Did not have welcome drink, glasses in the room and courtesy bottles of water were missing some days. Breakfast offered was limited to few things, no cappuccino, no latte , no pastries , no squeezed orange juice. No table in room to work with a computer. In general was not what we expected for the price we paid.

Hard to write a review of this property, the staff were genuinely lovely and extremely helpful, however the first night we were allocated a room to the front of the hotel, and due to noise we didn’t sleep at all. They gracefully allowed us to move when we raised the issue and the second room was much better. The rooms are a little tired. Furniture is a Laraine’s and walls need a re-paint, but they also have a lovely charm. Good location and beautiful beach. Having to pay a gratuity on the free breakfast everyday was a bit of a sting. Along with being charged the full resort fee despite the swimming pool not being operational when we stayed.

It was such a dream! This was a Christmas gift to myself due to being alone this year, and it was so special. Such an intimate environment, with extremely kind staff and amazing food and drink! They even gave me a sweet little Christmas gift and placed it under their Christmas tree. Altogether such a sweet experience, wish I could've stayed longer!

This boutique hotel is one of the highlights of our trip. It was filled with character, had incredibly friendly staff, and everything was so well thought out, making for just a wonderfully memorable experience. We'll definitely be back. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.

the hotel is right on highway 1 so the rooms can get quite loud but for the most part, its ok, the beds were comfortable and the staff good. no in room kettles and even if you pay for the most expensive room, you will hear the highway. the yoga deck also has a lot of road noise and no yoga blocks.

The location and offerings here are essential. Shaw’s Cove feels like a hidden gem and having access right there is ideal! The cozy breakfast view is delightful and they have great coffee. Staff is very friendly and the bar access is low key and exactly what is needed. Perfect for a romantic getaway!
