Friendly helpful staff. We arrived later than check-in normal time. Clear instructions at entrance to have someone come accommodate us w/in under a minute. Central air ( was not a separate a/c unit in room ) housekeeping called when we were away to ask if we needed our room attended ( bcuz I forgot to put door tag on door knob to “ not disturb “ or if serv was wanted ) they provide to you a key for your room and whole building to be able to lock entrance at night/ early morning departure ..etc .. which I thought was nice for safety for us and others staying.We did not do bar (happy hour 5-7 if that interests you) or restaurant but it is a separate building steps away from house rooms, ample parking. Would stay again. Bed was comfortable ( king / in harry truman room ) felt like a bedroom at home ,quiet & quaint. Smaller walk- In toilet shower area en suite. Ice machine & keurig in a formal( entrance) setting area was very convenient for what we needed for our weekend 2 night stay in June

Nice old property. I believe 1800’s. The Inn is transformed from what was a carriage/barn. Small room with bath was nice. We stayed on the third floor. Took some time for hot water to get there but when it did it was hot. The restaurant next door was excellent. It was pricey. $$$$. But excellent. Nice portions.

This period inn is beyond charming. My husband and I stayed in the Winston Churchill suite and were very comfortable there. It had two bathrooms - each one had a john and a shower and a pocket door for privacy. The sinks (two of them) were outside the baths. I presume this unusual setup was due to the age of the building. The linens were incredibly soft and comfortable. We had a small sitting area and a gas fireplace. (It being June, we did not use the fireplace.) The building was very quiet, despite having almost full occupancy. We didn't dine there, but we did have drinks at the bar. The restaurant/bar is in a separate building, easily accessible. Right next door. The hostess and bartender were both helpful and polite and friendly. I would return to the Duling Kurtz house in a minute. Absolutely loved it!

We loved the historical nature of this site but it mixed fantastically with modern amenities! The restaurant was fabulous!Its listed as a B&B but there's no breakfast. We loved it nonetheless.

A lovely historic building and establishment. Staying there was like staying in the guest room of a fastidious grandparent--Very comfy, clean and tidy, with old fashioned linens in a modest room--Just what I wanted. I was courteously met at the door and given my room key. I didn't make use of the dining room, or really ask for anything outside of a nice place to stay--So my entry for "service" almost could've been "N/A." As far as the basics, everything was perfect.

This nearly 200 year old property has a charming look from the outside. We stayed 2 nights in the Harry Truman room on the ground floor. The first impression was pretty gloomy as the room has only got a small window, approx. at chest hight and opens directly onto Whitford Road, i.e. < 10 ft away and had a musty smell. Fortunately there was little traffic during the night and consquently didn\'t disturb us. The cleanliness of the ensuite toilet left to be desired, but the bed and furniture was clean. There is a small lobby with a pod coffee machine, fruit and cereal bars which is convenient, because the "fine dining" restaurant is cosed in the morning. The staff was very friendly, but all considered, I wouldn\'t stay there again.

Very nice, clean, historic, and quiet Inn. The property needs landscaping attention. Small bathroom. Bed was comfortable, yet two poster beds were put together to make a King. One of our lamps didn’t work. Coffee, tea, breakfast bars, fresh fruit and ice were available to guests. Very pleasant staff.

It calls itself a bed and breakfast but only offered a Keurig and some granola bars. Claw foot tub in GW suite unsafe to use as floor all around tub is uneven and sagging …like the tub would fall through the floor. Floor in bathroom sunk considerably with every step. Had to move rugs over raised boards to keep from tripping! King bed was hard and the sheets actually crackled they were so rough.

I had wished that the linens, especially the towels, could have been more plush, given the price of the room. Also the only window in the room could not stay opened for air to circulate. It appears that it has not been attended to for a very long time.

I recognize the age of the property is part of its potential appeal, but my room (303) was quite dated and quite small. More importantly, the room did not have its own temperature controls, instead apparently relying on a property-wide AC unit which was not able to keep up with the oppressive heat during my stay.

Adorable, quaint Inn. The rooms were decorated with matching walls and window treatments. In my room, the sink was outside of the bathroom, which was convenient. The grounds were wonderful to just sit outside & enjoy the weather, read or work on a laptop. There were benches & a gazebo. I called & told them I wasn't going to be there until late. The person told me the steps I needed to take, to get in. It's safe, because the outer door is locked at night (but each guest has a key to get in.) Unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy the restaurant and bar, but I looked in the windows & it was gorgeous. Loved the bar stools. I wasn't fond that I had to walk up 2 flights, with my luggage. My bed squeaked when I turned over at night (but a couple of screws & padding could fix that) The stall shower wasn't too large. The beautiful grounds could be maintained a little better: Replace the squeaky boards on the bridges, power wash the wood, the Inn & restaurant. Pick the weeds. Yes, I will go there again.

The room we had is incredibly small. Not sure the pictures do justice. Also there was a sliding pocket door that separated us from other room….people could totally peek through and look into our room. No privacy. Can hear everything going on in other rooms. Then at 8 am the fire alarms went on for no reason and there are no staff here to deal with it.

Absolutely charming ! I am so glad we opted for this facility over a chain hotel. Our room had a fireplace and seating area, plus two separate bathrooms. I wish we could have taken advantage of the restaurant on the property, but time didn't allow. Next time! The staff was so pleasant, the grounds were beautiful, and so close to shopping and other restaurants. Highly recommend.

Friendly helpful staff. We arrived later than check-in normal time. Clear instructions at entrance to have someone come accommodate us w/in under a minute. Central air ( was not a separate a/c unit in room ) housekeeping called when we were away to ask if we needed our room attended ( bcuz I forgot to put door tag on door knob to “ not disturb “ or if serv was wanted ) they provide to you a key for your room and whole building to be able to lock entrance at night/ early morning departure ..etc .. which I thought was nice for safety for us and others staying.We did not do bar (happy hour 5-7 if that interests you) or restaurant but it is a separate building steps away from house rooms, ample parking. Would stay again. Bed was comfortable ( king / in harry truman room ) felt like a bedroom at home ,quiet & quaint. Smaller walk- In toilet shower area en suite. Ice machine & keurig in a formal( entrance) setting area was very convenient for what we needed for our weekend 2 night stay in June

The room we had is incredibly small. Not sure the pictures do justice. Also there was a sliding pocket door that separated us from other room….people could totally peek through and look into our room. No privacy. Can hear everything going on in other rooms. Then at 8 am the fire alarms went on for no reason and there are no staff here to deal with it.

Nice stay at a quaint little place. Convenient, clean, quiet, and private. Nice place to stay over if you don't want to feel like your in one of those chain motels and simply want privacy and quiet. We did not visit the restaurant but simply popped in late after work and then went out to breakfast in town.

Absolutely charming ! I am so glad we opted for this facility over a chain hotel. Our room had a fireplace and seating area, plus two separate bathrooms. I wish we could have taken advantage of the restaurant on the property, but time didn't allow. Next time! The staff was so pleasant, the grounds were beautiful, and so close to shopping and other restaurants. Highly recommend.

Nice old property. I believe 1800’s. The Inn is transformed from what was a carriage/barn. Small room with bath was nice. We stayed on the third floor. Took some time for hot water to get there but when it did it was hot. The restaurant next door was excellent. It was pricey. $$$$. But excellent. Nice portions.

Staying at a Colonial Inn is an experience not to be missed. It is an act of love from the owners to keep this place going. The grounds were so peaceful. The restaurant was top notch and affordable. Just and all around special time here. If you're looking for something away from the gentrification come to this supernaturally unique and authentic country Inn. Very romantic.

This nearly 200 year old property has a charming look from the outside. We stayed 2 nights in the Harry Truman room on the ground floor. The first impression was pretty gloomy as the room has only got a small window, approx. at chest hight and opens directly onto Whitford Road, i.e. < 10 ft away and had a musty smell. Fortunately there was little traffic during the night and consquently didn\'t disturb us. The cleanliness of the ensuite toilet left to be desired, but the bed and furniture was clean. There is a small lobby with a pod coffee machine, fruit and cereal bars which is convenient, because the "fine dining" restaurant is cosed in the morning. The staff was very friendly, but all considered, I wouldn\'t stay there again.

We loved the historical nature of this site but it mixed fantastically with modern amenities! The restaurant was fabulous!Its listed as a B&B but there's no breakfast. We loved it nonetheless.

Location was extremely convenient for our purposes, and even though the property is quite dated, it is well maintained and clean for its age. Plenty of parking, and while we really didn’t need to deal with staff very much, check-in was easy enough following the written instructions. The gentleman we dealt with who ran over from the restaurant to help us check in and thereafter we never saw another soul.

The Inn and my room was clean. The furnishings and decor is dated. The room was small but adequate for one person. There is no staff on the premises after 10 PM. This was a bit uncomfortable given there were few guests the night of my stay.

This place is beautiful with so much history. Wish we would have had a longer stay to explore! We had a glass of wine at the bar and the staff was wonderful! The bar tender was full of information on the history. Highly recommend!

Please keep in mind this is a farmhouse built in 1830, so if you stay on the first floor, you will hear every step on the staircase and the floor above you. That said, this is lovely establishment. The gentleman that checked us in was very nice. Our room was the Lincoln on the first floor, which was amazing. We had a private area off the bedroom so one of us could sit and read when the other slept. Plus we had our own little outdoor sitting area off the room where we could sit and drink coffee. The bed was extremely comfortable. We will definitely be returning. It is great for a quiet, romantic getaway.

Please keep in mind this is a farmhouse built in 1830, so if you stay on the first floor, you will hear every step on the staircase and the floor above you. That said, this is lovely establishment.
