Excellent service. Tasty evening meal. Superb breakfast. Good location to visit the town. Parking is a challenge before 6pm and after 8am in the street due to restrictions. Don't use the school car park as I was told to do. Room was small and hot but managed to open the window after the restaurant closed due to extraction vent. A lot of light even with curtains closed but quite after 11pm. Shower cubicle could have been cleaner . Comfortable bed. Good food and fab staff made the stay for me.

Great location with several bars & restaurants within a short walk, parking just a short walk away from 5pm to 9am. Room was clean & bathroom spacious a good large shower cubical. Breakfast was freshly cooked & very nice to start the day with. When back in area will be on my list to stay again.

Exceeded expectations. Good, clean room, decent shower, nice people, good breakfast included, parking over the road free overnight, decent pint in the pub. Booked at really short notice as the usual budget hotels were either full or charging decidedly non budget prices. This turned out to be a much better alternative, will stay again.

It was a stop over. We had to park in a public car park over the road for a small price. We were a bit nervous of leaving our holiday car in the car park. We shared 3 generous starters for a very reasonable light supper. Our breakfast was equally generous and very well cooked. The cooked breakfast was the main thing. Not so much choice aside from it.

Not a great stay tbh. Room was fine but seemed grubby - tea stains on walls and toilet not clean. Breakfast was chaos - only continental- literally croissants , fruit and a couple of cereals. Not even butter, jam . I think the pub was in the middle of changing hands , but still disappointing.

My room was directly over the bar area downstairs so was noisey until closing time. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The food was excellent, my only complaint would be that my main course came out when i was only half way through my starter. The room was spacious but cleaning is the biggest let down for this place, thick dust in the hard to reach places and liquid spray stain around the mirror. Overall enjoyed my stay.

When I arrived (late not early) they had forgot to make up the room. The staff were great and changed the bed right away and looked after me in the pub while i waited. However when i got to room the floor was dirty and was vomit over the toilet. Morning staff were friendly and helpful and overall the room was comfortable. Just a real shame I had such a poor welcome.

Have stayed here multiple times over the last 5yrs. The staff are always great, the breakfast are nice & simple, the rooms are always immaculately clean. However the condition of the rooms are now a disappointment with liquid stains splattered and dripped down the walls. A good redecoration is needed.

The room was clean and tidy. Only fault was the TV didn’t work. The biggest asset of this property is staff. Absolutely everyone was so welcoming and made us feel immediately at home. The Chef even went shopping to pick me up some GF sausages for my breakfast. We will definitely return.

Parking is in a car park opposite the pub but only a short walk away. Check in was slow as it seemingly wasn't written down. Room was nice and clean. Light shades were broken and some bulbs out but all in all was comfortable. Food was excellent and a good choice. Housekeeping was very good too. Great value and will definitely stay again.

Cant speak highly enough of the staff food and welcoming. However the room was not as advertised. It clearly stated a king and a double pull out sofa. We are work men that require two beds. When we arrived it we were told the second was a small fold out camp bed and not what we had booked. We were late so had no option to do anything else and the staff denied all knowledge of a double sofa bed even though it’s in the pictures in your web site and written in the room description. Im not the tallest of people by my feet where still hanging off end of the bed and it was really uncomfortable so I barely slept. Massive shame as everything else was really good and I would stay here again but fell mislead and didn’t get what we paid for.

First time I've ever left a review... In the main, couldn't fault the hotel at all. We had room ten which was far enough from the main area of the pub we didn't hear any noise at all. Room was really nice, cosy, comfortable & clean. No issues at all. Bed was super comfy & the shower was powerful. We had a wonderful time and I said I'd happily go back again. Breakfast wasn't too bad. Would have appreciated a lighter option like fruit and yogurt, but that was my fault for a weekend of over eating!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was on the ground floor on the street side, however I was not disturbed and slept very well. The breakfast was cooked to order and arrived hot and well presented. If in the area, I would definitely stay there again.

Room was fine and breakfast ok. No car park but there is parking on street and a car park very nearby (turn into where hospital is signposted and big car park on your right).

The room floors were dirty, there were no washcloths and the facilities are outdated. It is convenient for Wellington town but it is definitely not a desirable neighborhood.

Great location with several bars & restaurants within a short walk, parking just a short walk away from 5pm to 9am. Room was clean & bathroom spacious a good large shower cubical. Breakfast was freshly cooked & very nice to start the day with. When back in area will be on my list to stay again.

Exceeded expectations. Good, clean room, decent shower, nice people, good breakfast included, parking over the road free overnight, decent pint in the pub. Booked at really short notice as the usual budget hotels were either full or charging decidedly non budget prices. This turned out to be a much better alternative, will stay again.

Great place to stay, convenient location, Helpful welcoming staff, comfortable bed & clean stylish room. Towel warmer! Enjoyed restaurant meals & drinks. Breakfast was delicious ass well.

Excellent service. Tasty evening meal. Superb breakfast. Good location to visit the town. Parking is a challenge before 6pm and after 8am in the street due to restrictions. Don't use the school car park as I was told to do. Room was small and hot but managed to open the window after the restaurant closed due to extraction vent. A lot of light even with curtains closed but quite after 11pm. Shower cubicle could have been cleaner . Comfortable bed. Good food and fab staff made the stay for me.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was on the ground floor on the street side, however I was not disturbed and slept very well. The breakfast was cooked to order and arrived hot and well presented. If in the area, I would definitely stay there again.

Mixed feelings about this place but no doubting the great price for a surprisingly good room with ensuite! Menu choice not great for vegetarians but food ok breakfast was good, cooked to order and better than expected. The downside is that it feels a bit like a locals drinking pub so as a lone female wouldn't have used the bar or bought food. Great bargain option for a one night stay though!

Not a great stay tbh. Room was fine but seemed grubby - tea stains on walls and toilet not clean. Breakfast was chaos - only continental- literally croissants , fruit and a couple of cereals. Not even butter, jam . I think the pub was in the middle of changing hands , but still disappointing.

A disappointing stay overall: the showers in two of the rooms (we were moved to a second room) didn't drain properly (to the extent that I had to turn the water off while shampooing and conditioning my hair to prevent it overflowing in what claimed to be a family room), and one member of staff was unnecessarily snappy regarding this. Yes, it is an old building, but if one person cannot have a shower properly, then the room should not be let, particularly for a family. For the price, the quality of breakfast was also poor.

It was a stop over. We had to park in a public car park over the road for a small price. We were a bit nervous of leaving our holiday car in the car park. We shared 3 generous starters for a very reasonable light supper. Our breakfast was equally generous and very well cooked. The cooked breakfast was the main thing. Not so much choice aside from it.

Parking is in a car park opposite the pub but only a short walk away. Check in was slow as it seemingly wasn't written down. Room was nice and clean. Light shades were broken and some bulbs out but all in all was comfortable. Food was excellent and a good choice. Housekeeping was very good too. Great value and will definitely stay again.

Both the bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well equipped. The breakfast was good but there was only 2 choices of cereal. There was only one member of staff on duty on Sunday (9th August) and she did an excellent job taking orders, making drinks and cooking for all the guests. All the staff were welcoming and helpful.

Our room was rather hot with the sun streaming in through the window, so when we arrived the room was warm, and there were no aircon or fans in the room. However, we did ask the staff for a fan and one was provided. We did not get room service during our stay, not sure if they had missed us out. Breakfast options were a bit disappointing, it's okay if you like having a cooked breakfast.. no fresh fruit or yoghurts available. Our bedroom was above the bar, so slightly noisey in the evenings, can hear the bar noise and a customers dog barking. The stairs to our bedroom was very steep and difficult while trying to carry our bags up the stairs and at times no railings to hold on to. The room and bathroom was very clean, bed very comfy and a nice roomy shower.

Great stay, room clean and spacious bathroom with nice walk in shower, staff very friendly and hardworking, and a lovely breakfast, will be definitely be staying at the Green Dragon when next visiting Wellington!!
