Lovely hotel rooms, stylish and modern. Bathroom was amazing, With walk in shower, towels were lovely, clean and fluffy. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Breakfast delicious. Private car park close by. Only downside was no lift. We had a room on 3rd floor the bed was so comfortable, good sized room with air-con, Would certainly book again!

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The service was fantastic and little extras like free milk and water on each floor. The breakfast was also brilliant.

Lovely hotel in perfect location for a couple of days in Barmouth. Hotel has been renovated to a great standard and other than a lift has all the amenities including a car park. Will definitely stay here again when I come to Barmouth.

This is an excellent B&B right in the centre of Barmouth. It has a dedicated car park so parking ceases to be an issue which can be a big relief in the centre of a busy holiday town. The rooms are excellent with all the modern conveniences you would expect. My advice to anyone of advanced years wishing to book a room here, however, is with three floors and no lift, a request is made for a room on the first/lower floor. They also serve an excellent breakfast.

Excellent hotel. Friendly efficient staff. Parking provided. Well located in the heart of the town. Room was spacious and comfortable. Heating worked well. Good bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Good meals available in the pub. One thing to note, there is no lift in the building, so stairs have to be negotiated which could be a concern, especially with luggage.

Very nice hotel in the center of Barmouth. Very shorts walk to the beach. Nice and modern room with a large shower. The personal were very friendly. The hotel is in a pub - quite cozy. Can only recommend this hotel. Parking is around the corner of the street - there is no lift in the hotel

The Tilman was wonderful. Great location, lovely shower, beautifully decorated rooms, sea view (which I didn't even request), very comfortable bed and they know how to make fantastic cocktails too! What more could you want!?

second visit , the staff were lovely lovely , the room was clean , however badly stained chairs and the mattress and pillows need re-placing and room over all tired looking, also had to ask numerous times for disabled toilot to be cleaned one evening , never got donr breakfast loads of choice but found a hair in my breakfast under the bacon, had scrambled ricoota eggs portions very poor for the money, not good for £160 + a night, think it needs to be looked at

Extremely clean place from top to bottom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place had a relaxed but quirky feel to it. Right in the centre so useful to get to surroundings. The breakfast was incredible and could tell was locally sourced. Will definitely be returning.

Have stayed here before and will stay here again. Great experience from checking in to checking out. Staff are friendly, helpful and generally lovely. Rooms are clean, well decorated and furnished. Shower is spacious and powerful. Breakfast is included and there are a good number of options, excellent! A great bonus is the free parking in a secure car park. I have nothing negative to say, very happy 😊

Fantastic property, great staff and great accommodation, the bed was comfortable and the rooms were lovely, clean and had a nice personal touch. This is the second time I have stayed and will visit again.

We were greeted by Dale, who kindly helped us checking in very promptly at the bar. We were asked to schedule our breakfast(free of charge) time for the next morning. We were afraid that the room might be noisy at night as all the rooms were right above the bar/restaurant but it was very quiet. Room/bath nicely updated with modern yet cozy vibe and spotlessly clean! our room was facing the main street with some mountain view. parking was free and right behind the building. After a good-night sleep, we went downstairs for our breakfast. the bar/restaurant nicely set up for breakfast. menu included several options from full English to lighter on the go. Dale took very good care of our breakfast orders. very friendly and willing to share local info for our next journey. we were blown by how nice the hotel/restaurant was, way better than the photos we reviewed on the google. plus the staff, especially Dale was extremely kind and welcoming. overall, it was an excellent stay with great value. we definitely want to stay at the Tilman again and recommend it to everyone!

Easy check-in. Room was big and bed really comfortable- large walk in shower was great! Air conditioning in room was fab too! Breakfast was included and was delicious with plenty of different options. Staff friendly and welcoming. A brilliant stay over the bank holiday weekend

Great property, was hesitant in booking this place due to it being a bar and potentially noisy. It was so so quiet (we stayed on second floor) Room had everything we needed. All staff were great. If I was to return to Barmouth, I’d definitely book here.

Beautifully decorated room, with a stunning bathroom. Yea and coffee making facilities were great, loved the touch of bottled milk and canned water. Huge bed and so comfy. Will definitely visit again. Breakfast options were yummy too.

The staff were very good and made you feel welcome. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. The room was clean and spacious with well stocked tea and coffee choices and fresh milk and cans of chilled water included from a fridge on each floor.

Yes breakfast was good, on arrival i had asked for a low floor as my husband has walking problems on check in they said they hadn't read my request and they had put us on the third floor, couldn't have got any higher but had no other rooms so unfortunately we couldn't go to the room in the day as he couldn't do the stairs more than once a day i must admit it put a dampener on our stay , im not sure we would stay again because of this issue, you shouldn't have a request box if its not going to be read !

Easy check-in. Room was big and bed really comfortable- large walk in shower was great! Air conditioning in room was fab too! Breakfast was included and was delicious with plenty of different options. Staff friendly and welcoming. A brilliant stay over the bank holiday weekend

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially Dan he made an effort to speak to everyone while busy working. Hotel was lovely and clean loads of mirrors for every occasion from a shaving,full size,dressing table and more. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice also the food in the evening that we had was great the loaded chips were amazing Would definitely recommend this hotel for a great stay

If you like a boutique hotel, then it's ok but we are both vegan, and let them know prior to stopping. Veggie they can cope with because all they have to do is remove meat items. However, vegan was clearly too much trouble. Other hotels leave non dairy milk and biscuits in rooms. Breakfast was their version of full english without non vegan items, but no hash browns that normally make up a vegan breakfast. We were offered toast but told sorry we've just ran out of vegan spread. With respect, we dont think they ever had any vegan spread as it is unlikely they had just run out giving it to all the other loads of vegan guests! On the whole a good place to stay if you're not vegan. We felt like an inconvenience, the barman did tell us they try to accommodate vegans, but it felt like tolerating us. We dont mean anyone harm i promise and we both never demand anything. It would be nicer to say they cannot accommodate vegans if its too much trouble, rather than make us feel like we're an annoying itch on the shoulder blade that you need to scratch but cant quite reach. We help so many people and places with how to cater for vegans. Its not hard or much effort.When you book ask for a room away from the extractor unit next door. It was ok as a form of "white noise" to help us sleep, but did not allow for peace and quiet when having the window open on a lovely warm night. Our room was on the 3rd floor, that's alot of steps!!! No lift for older people!

I so enjoyed my stay at The Tilman. Such a quaint property in the heart of Barmouth. My room was spacious, clean and bright. Breakfast was excellent every morning. Service was always fast and super friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Our second stay here and just as good as the first. Welcoming staff, lovely room tastefully decorated, cosy bar area downstairs and fantastic breakfast the following morning. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We were glad we chose to stay here. We felt it was good value and clean and comfortable. Convenient central location and nearby secure parking all handy for town, beach and mountains. Modern, stylish ‘industrial look’ bedrooms,.. excellent Linen etc and nice toiletries and added extras (milk and cans of spring water etc.) Downstairs ‘shabby chic’ bar area with a relaxed vibe. All staff were friendly and welcoming.

The location was perfect with lots of parking near by. The bar itself was very nicely decorated and we loved the music played. The rooms were also comfortable and well decorated.

Excellent hotel. Friendly efficient staff. Parking provided. Well located in the heart of the town. Room was spacious and comfortable. Heating worked well. Good bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Good meals available in the pub. One thing to note, there is no lift in the building, so stairs have to be negotiated which could be a concern, especially with luggage.

Very nice hotel in the center of Barmouth. Very shorts walk to the beach. Nice and modern room with a large shower. The personal were very friendly. The hotel is in a pub - quite cozy. Can only recommend this hotel. Parking is around the corner of the street - there is no lift in the hotel

Stylish, well-appointed hotel in Barmouth town centre. Spacious and comfortable rooms include thoughtful bonus features such as quality coffee in a bag and even have a selection of books to peruse. Fluffy towels and double-headed shower with overhead and adjustable heads in our room. Inventive breakfast range extends to salmon and cream cheese bagels, kippers and even eggs with ricotta cheese - in addition to the usual cooked options - and there's a nicely-presented buffet of cereals, fruit, pastries, too.

Lovely room, very clean and well furnished. There was a wide choice of food at breakfast and although we only ate one evening meal it was a delicious, tasty burger. It was well placed for the beach and in an area with a number of shops and restaurants.I would certainly stay here again.

From the moment we arrived we felt looked after by the warm and welcoming staff. The room was very modern but not characterless. Great breakfast for both veggie and non-veggie tastes as well. Make sure you try a few of the cocktails if you get the chance.

Almost perfect stay... Hotel, Bar and room was perfect, lovely big room, big comfy bed, Air-con, fridge, safe, TV, kettle cups etc. Big lovely bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower. The only thing that let it down for me was no hairdryer, so used to every hotel we've stayed in having hairdryers in all the rooms. Sent a message to say we didnt have one but didnt get a reply. Found out on our last night that the couple next door had a hairdryer so not consistent. My advice bring a hairdryer with you. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise. Would recommend though great hotel on the main street in Barmouth.

Absolutely brilliant destination if you are staying in Barmouth, Cannot fault rooms at all, all staff polite and could not be more helpful, breakfast excellent no matter who was cooking and lovely bar area. Has shared parking with another hotel but plenty of space.

The Tilman is a really well kept hotel but the rooms are lacking a mini fridge, apert from that we had a lovely stay and an excellent breakfast, freshly cooked and piping hot.

Lovely pub/hotel in the centre of the town. Helpful staff, well appointed nicely designed rooms and an excellent breakfast. Secured parking across the road for hotel guests. Excellent.
