The place is total chaos. They are remodeling, they say. AC/HEATERS in front of every room outside. No hot water. Totally an unsafe site. Lady in office to to get a room to be ok, but we were afraid to stay there. We found another place to stay.

WE ARRIVED APPROX. 2:20 PM. WERE CK IN BY A FEMALE. THE OUTER LOOK OF THE MOTEL WAS NOT PLEASING TO THE EYE. THE ROOM HAD ELECTRICAL OUTLETS BUT SEVERAL OF THEM DID NOT WORK. THERE WERE LIGHT BULBS MISSING, SHOWER CURTAIN WAS TOO SHORT CAUSING WATER TO GET ON THE FLOOR, TOWELS IN THE ROOM WERE NOT ENOUGH FOR 4 CUSTOMERS, ICE MACHINE DOOR WAS MISSING A HANDLE AND WAS USELY LOCKED, REFRIGERATOR WAS TOO SMALL, HELP NEEDED FOR TV WITH INSTRUCTIONS IN ROOM, NIGHT BEFORE WE LEFT WE WERE FINALLY ASKED IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING, EXTRA TRASH BAGS HAD TO BE ASKED FOR, AND FINALLY ON THE LAST NIGHT WE MOVED A BAG AND VERY SMALL BUGS WENT EVERYWHERE AND HAD THAT HAPPENED BEFORE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT OF THERE. We couldn't stay - the conditions were deplorable. The marijuana smell outside the room was overpowering and it permeated the room making the smell unbearable. There was a bucket under the sink because it leaked. But the bucket did no good. After using the sink briefly, the carpet in front of the sink was soaked. The batteries were out of the smoke detector. The curtains would not completely close. The latch on the door to an adjoining room was not completely locked. When we went to the office to tell them we were leaving and why, he allegedly wrote down what we told him. He did apologize but did not seem shocked about any of the issues. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING THERE!!!!!

This property was in very poor condition even though advertized as newly renovated. The sink drained slowly, the faucet leaked on the floor, the curtains did not cover the window and could not be closed completely, one cloth chair was covered in pet hair (I think it was pet hair. There was no top sheet on bed. The carpet is the only thing I would say was fairly new. I think Expedia should inspect this property. Room 105

Terrible and dirty!!! Linens all stained!! Three inch at least gap in door bottom anything could crawl into the room!! Rarely and warm water!! First day had to shower with cold water!!! There’s only one staff she runs the office , cleans the rooms and small maintenance Staffed the owner is aware but not going to fix anything!! Don’t stay here!! Sheriff cars there all the time!!

I didn't like the fact the curtains were broken no wash cloths in my room. The towels had yellow stains. Only a top sheet and thin blanket. Shower was dirty I had to buy my own cleaning supplies.

The local sheriff pulled in behind us when we parked and encouraged us to find another hotel, if possible. Since we had prepaid via Expedia with no refund option, we elected to stay. The beds were clean, although the bedspreads had holes in them. There was a 2’x4’ section of the ceiling missing in the bathroom. The A/C worked well, plenty of hot water, and the TV worked well. Overall, you get what you pay for. It was quiet and had no incidence, but the manager encouraged us to leave nothing on our motorcycles. Probably would look for other accommodations if visiting the area again.

Minimally acceptable. Property in poor state of repair. Television service is all streaming and impossible to watch even local news and weather. The bed felt real good, the air conditioning is good, the wifi is stable, the bathroom is good, the only thing I would've liked to see, is the curtains being above the air conditioner, to where they don't cover the air conditioner, and keep the light from coming into the room. I probably didn't understand how to clip the curtains together, so that's on me, and I apologize for that. Great price, everything is excellent! The staff know me too. I definitely recommend The Virginian Motel!

Cecilia was very helpful! The place had a retro feel that we lived! Everything in the room worked. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
