If you’re visiting London, I’d suggest you take a hard look at Henrietta Experimental. It’s in Covent Garden, which is centrally located but not overwhelmingly touristy, relatively speaking, because this is London, after all. The hotel has two branches, one at 14-15 Henrietta Street, the other across the street. Our room was across the street, and if it wasn’t newly renovated, it certainly looked it. It was a lovely room, looking down on Henrietta from the third floor, with a window seat, desk, refrigerator, a very comfortable bed, and a generous bathroom. The housekeeping staff members were helpful and friendly. The hotel is about a five-minute walk to the Covent Garden tube station (Piccadilly line). The Henrietta is also within walking distance of many West End theaters as well as many must-see London sites, including Trafalgar Square, Westminster, and Buckingham Palace. And the tube will get you to the others. Also, you’ll find a slew of good restaurants and pubs in the area. This was our fifth visit to London; we’ve stayed in Knightsbridge, Mayfair, and Belgravia. When we return to London, we’ll head straight for the Henrietta.
