I booked this hotel suite for 5 nights & believe me, I got what I paid for.. the room was big but shower water pressure was horrible, both ceiling fans didn’t work, old TV & the bed was very firm. We also had a stack of mattresses outside our door the whole time. Noise outside of our room from the housekeepers talking loud in the morning. Continental breakfast consisted of just coffee, yogurt, fruit & bread anything else you had to pay extra at the restaurant outside of the hotel. There was no pool or jacuzzi at the hotel but it was on the main strip close to everything which was convenient but got boring quick, so I booked a hotel at another hotel nearby that was all inclusive & adults only so we could at least have a good time & I can have a nice shower. The staff didn’t seem to care, especially Ana. Maintenance tried to fix the shower head to get more pressure & sinks but the fans needed to be replaced. I was more disappointed about the shower pressure & fans to circulate the AC since the AC unit was on the other side of the room. Will not recommend this place.

The hotel was in the middle of 5th ave which is like Main street. You will have loud music until 2 am, but the windows drowned out most of it when they are closed. The rooms were cute, and the hotel had a nice atmosphere. The only down side is that the electricity only works when your key is in the room, which is an awesome idea. However, when you leave food in the fridge and then go out for the day you will come back to rotten food bc the electricity goes off when you take the key with you haha. front desk was kind and helpful, there are no phones in the rooms, but we asked if they could come knock on our door if we weren't out at 4 am, they were kind enough to agree. The final walk through was easy they just check to make sure you didn't damage anything. Beds are old and firm but clean and smelled nice, they had lots of pillows too! The hotel gave us robes and towels for the shower. They also give you blue towels to take out of the hotel and use at the beach in case you forgot your own and don't want to spend $30 USD for 1 towel at the shops. there's no parking, but we were able to find close parking nightly even during the 1st week of August.

A couple of small silly issues. The rooms don't have an iron and & ironing board, you have to ado for one from the front desk, which only has the iron, no board. And in the guest agreement, for "security", you aren't allowed to have guests. This is Cancun.

A mí y mi esposa nos gustó nuestra habitación, comodidad de la cama, limpieza y buen trato. El convenio del desayuno incluido con el restaurante "Il italiano", delicioso, muy buen servicio y trato. No nos gustó, que no haya donde estacionar o un convenio con algún estacionamiento colindante.

With the exception of parking it was great. Our car got booted for not paying the meter. The meters were not working and I could not get them to understand. It was 9 pm and could not contact anyone. Other than that it was a great stay

This is a good hotel on 5th avenue. If you want to see everything on 5th ave, be prepared to walk! It was not that noisy at night to where I couldn't sleep. We stayed here to do nearby excursions so we basically only slept. The hotel is small but good enough for what we needed it for. The receptionist was VERY helpful, I wish I got her name but she was probably around 40-50 years old, slim with glasses. She helped us with pricing of tours & directions on how to avoid the super expensive taxis they offer nearby. The breakfast was basic but they offer a discount if you get other items. Please note the breakfast is not onsite, its a couple steps from the hotel - not a long walk! Overall it was good for the price we paid for 3 rooms.

Loved staying here! Right on 5th Avenue in the heart of Playa. Not on the beach but there are lots of places to get to the beach in minutes. The room was spotless and lovely. Bed was so comfortable. Sheets and comforter were the softest I’ve ever felt! We could hear a little of the street noise in the late evening but it shuts down and the hotel itself was very quiet. Front desk staff lovely and helpful. Thanks especially to Maria! Breakfast continental was included at the Italian restaurant on the corner which was good and convenient. Great if you want a quiet oasis after a day of fun in Playa!

Second time I stay here for a night before heading over to my all inclusive resort.I stay here because it's on 5th avenue and it let's me take in all the ambiance of 5th avenue.Service is good and the place is clean.I will be staying here again soon. A nice boutique hotel.

For what I paid I absolutely expected much less. The staff was serviced based and very helpful. My room was kept extremely clean. I wasn't expecting the Ritz Carlton at the rate I paid with whom I work with I was just expecting a good place to stay that was clean and convenient. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the property for being an older hotel and the service was excellent. I will be staying there again soon. My office is just down the street and when I come back for a visit I now have a very inexpensive place to stay.

Beautiful little hotel with amazing, friendly staff. The rooms were cute and clean. Walking distance to beaches. Loads of dining fun entertainment right out their front door. To improve the beds could be softer and more towels given to the rooms. For what it was, great price!

A hidden and reasonably priced gem. You have to be paying attention to see its entrance. Staff always friendly. Desk manager Maria is always professional and welcoming. The Lobby is cool, peaceful and leafy. Nights are very quiet despite being roughly midway on the walking street. I’ve made some mistakes booking nice properties too close to the hubbub and all-night disco thumping further up the Main Drag

Loved staying here! Right on 5th Avenue in the heart of Playa. Not on the beach but there are lots of places to get to the beach in minutes. The room was spotless and lovely. Bed was so comfortable. Sheets and comforter were the softest I’ve ever felt! We could hear a little of the street noise in the late evening but it shuts down and the hotel itself was very quiet. Front desk staff lovely and helpful. Thanks especially to Maria! Breakfast continental was included at the Italian restaurant on the corner which was good and convenient. Great if you want a quiet oasis after a day of fun in Playa!

The hotel was in the middle of 5th ave which is like Main street. You will have loud music until 2 am, but the windows drowned out most of it when they are closed. The rooms were cute, and the hotel had a nice atmosphere. The only down side is that the electricity only works when your key is in the room, which is an awesome idea. However, when you leave food in the fridge and then go out for the day you will come back to rotten food bc the electricity goes off when you take the key with you haha. front desk was kind and helpful, there are no phones in the rooms, but we asked if they could come knock on our door if we weren't out at 4 am, they were kind enough to agree. The final walk through was easy they just check to make sure you didn't damage anything. Beds are old and firm but clean and smelled nice, they had lots of pillows too! The hotel gave us robes and towels for the shower. They also give you blue towels to take out of the hotel and use at the beach in case you forgot your own and don't want to spend $30 USD for 1 towel at the shops. there's no parking, but we were able to find close parking nightly even during the 1st week of August.

Second time I stay here for a night before heading over to my all inclusive resort.I stay here because it's on 5th avenue and it let's me take in all the ambiance of 5th avenue.Service is good and the place is clean.I will be staying here again soon. A nice boutique hotel.

Posada molto carina sulla quinta avenida, quindi nel centro di Playa del Carmen. Personale molto gentile, le dotazioni della camera sono abbastanza complete. La colazione è abbastanza buona ma è sempre uguale, non c'è possibilità di scelta. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Dentro da quinta avenida, pequeno, limpo e simples. Lençóis e toalhas boas, cama confortável, banheiro não tem box apenas cortina, ventilador e ar ok. Passei apenas a noite, cheguei 00:30 e fui embora as 11:00. Café é servido em um restaurante bem próximo, simples e suficiente.

me aloje en la habitación 44 que era la suite junior y la habitación era igual a la de las fotos, el desayuno incluido en el ( el lugar L' Italiano) siempre fue muy bueno y en general si lo tuviera que calificar Excelente lugar, Excelente atención y Muy recomendable. importante tener en cuenta que los comercios apagan las musica a las 11 asi que antes de esa hora escucharas algo de musica.

El hotel está súper bonito. El personal te atiende muy bien y está al pendiente de ti en cualquiera de los turnos. El restaurante también tiene una gran atención y el desayuno, aunque sencillo, te cae de maravilla. Sin duda alguna regresaríamos.

A mí y mi esposa nos gustó nuestra habitación, comodidad de la cama, limpieza y buen trato. El convenio del desayuno incluido con el restaurante "Il italiano", delicioso, muy buen servicio y trato. No nos gustó, que no haya donde estacionar o un convenio con algún estacionamiento colindante.

This is a good hotel on 5th avenue. If you want to see everything on 5th ave, be prepared to walk! It was not that noisy at night to where I couldn't sleep. We stayed here to do nearby excursions so we basically only slept. The hotel is small but good enough for what we needed it for. The receptionist was VERY helpful, I wish I got her name but she was probably around 40-50 years old, slim with glasses. She helped us with pricing of tours & directions on how to avoid the super expensive taxis they offer nearby. The breakfast was basic but they offer a discount if you get other items. Please note the breakfast is not onsite, its a couple steps from the hotel - not a long walk! Overall it was good for the price we paid for 3 rooms.

I enjoyed a wonderful 4 night vacation here at Posada Mariposa in Playacar! Everything was fine, nothing could have been better, just perfect stay with no problems, right on Quinta Avenida! I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel and nice team of people, for everyone looking for a boutique bargain hotel and enjoyable vacation in PDC! I'm so very glad I chose the Mariposa! And I honestly believe you will be happy staying here too!!!

An sich ein sehr nettes, kleines und ruhiges Hotel - dies obwohl es an der doch recht lauten Quinta Avenida liegt. Internet hat funktioniert, Warmwasser war vorhanden wie auch ein kleiner Kühlschrank, den ich jedoch erst anstecken musste. Negativ war eigentlich nur das in dieser Region so häufig auftretende Problem, dass die Handtücher fleckig sind.

This is our first time staying at a boutique hotel at Playa del Carmen after 9 consecutive years with all inclusive resorts. We thought we tried something different. I really like the authenticity of the hotel, we stayed at the staffs were really nice and our stay included continental breakfast at a nearby restaurant. The room is clean, there are towels for shower and for beach. Card accessibility to the room control the lighting and A/C which work really well. There is a coffee maker and fridge in the room; one day coffee is included but we brought our own coffee mix which we found convenient as we just use the coffee maker for hot water. We basically buy bottled water everyday, there are convenience stores everywhere...you can't go wrong. The items I missed from our other all inclusive stays were the pool, I think it's an old building conversion so having a pool on site not really an option for them. It's definitely nice to have. The other thing I noticed is there are no hooks in the room or bathroom where we can hang our towel after use or before walking into the shower. We have to either lay nearby sink or hang on the shower door. They are definitely not deal breakers. All in all, it's a lovely hotel. We will definitely consider staying here again if we decide to return to Playa del Carmen. There is a bar/ restaurant right across from the hotel called La Vagabunda; they have live bands playing in the afternoon and at night. Really nice!
