Electric car charging point broke and never fixed. Staff actually advised us to go to the Holiday Inn to charge. Outside lighting for seating area broke ages ago and never fixed. Staff’s attitude is of acceptance that these things are broke and that’s the way it is.

Modern and well kept with efficient check in/out and a great gym too. Bedroom was well appointed and very clean. Unfortunately, the bar was not well supervised and the guys in charge clearly had not been trained. A fridge in the bedroom is great, would have better if had at least one complimentary bottle of water in it. Also, no EV chargers hence environmental has been marked down

Fantastic hotel with spacious rooms large bar, lounge and restaurant areas. There is a well equipped gym and spa area and lots of parking available. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Great peaceful location, overlooking a lake just outside of Cambridge city centre.Bus travel into the city was just £2.00 pp

We had a great night away at the Belfry. Staff were very friendly and attentive at all parts of our trip. Front desk were really nice and informative when asked. Our room was at a great spec, clean and we enjoyed the large space and modern features such as bedside usb chargers. The spa was also at a good level and size. It was nice it was accessible out with checked hours. Don't expect to get a good swim at busy times, however sauna and steam room are good sized but the gym had a great amount of equipment. Breakfast was also had a good spread and good quality. Overall a great stay and night away a stones throw from Cambridge.

What an excellent hotel. Our stay was very comfortable. The room was nicely furnished and well serviced. The gym was excellent, with very good equipment which was well maintained. We didn't use the pool but it looked very good too. Breakfast was also excellent, a good variety of options. The cooked breakfast was cooked to the highest standards. It was also possible to request personalised off menu foods. The staff were all very helpful and positive. Public transport to and from Cambridge was economical and very frequent.

Nice hotel but in need of a refurbishment. Carpets worn and walls needing a paint. Room safe was broken, as was towel rail. Main issue was cleanliness around the pool. Dust build up and cobwebs around pool. Litter not cleared, used plasters left under longers. Pool spillovers broken, large hole at one end, and worst was the large clumps of hair all around. I did make comment to the Spa staff who seemed very disinterested.

Overall a very pleasant stay, staff were polite and helpful, restaurant food was very good although the service could have been better, we were left for over 20 mins waiting for the bill and although plenty of staff were about seemed poorly coordinated, tables left uncleared etc, the same for the bar which was understaffed. The spa and pool were ok although changing rooms very small and showers were cold with several out of action.

Spacious room outside Cambridge that was 10-15min drive to the park & ride and West site Cambridge STEM campus. Ideal for an open day visit as parking was free at this hotel and we didn't fancy driving in central Cambridge. I used the swimming pool in the hotel which was a good size and open from 6.30am. the breakfast was plentiful and buffet style.

We had the intention of using the spa and facilities but we were put off with children having swimming lessons. It was not a relaxing experience. We understand from a business point of view, why the hotel rents out the pool for swimming lessons - but for a nice relaxing spa experience it should not be advertised as such. Been to better hotels with spas. Would not recommend.

Reception staff (Helen) were really friendly. Bar staff seemed a bit sleepy. Room was lovely, clean and spacious. Only basic freeview on the TV. Spa was too busy, not enough beds. Wouldn’t class it as a spa.

Very disappointed to find the toilet had not been cleaned would expect more from such a standard of hotel. Also had real problems trying to close the window as the mechanism was broke. Service was good but cooked breakfast could have been fresher (eggs were like rubber). Won’t bother stay here again.

Nice hotel, the room was very comfortable and clean. The only downfall was the leisure centre not very clean in the ladies areas and smelly. The shower ceiling had a a lot of mould and the doors in the hammam and sauna could do with a bit more cleaning. It is quite small considering it is open for the public and has also kids swimming lessons. Breakfast was quiet basic for a 4 star hotel.

I was staying overnight to visit family. The hotel is Absolutely disgusting state and cleaning. Got moved after complaining about bathroom cleaning. 2 bd room worse. Grime mild dust yuk. Carpets are worn and torn up stairways and corridors, stained rooms and side of bath. Mould around shower. I asked to clean it but not better. I drove home and didn’t stay. Disgusting place!

Everything was as I expected it to be. The staff were very polite, welcoming but not OTT. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Perfect for an overnight stop.

The hotel on paper has all the amenities: pool, spa, sauna, gym, grounds, free parking, good transportation to Cambridge, close supermarket, etc. However, it is not perfect. In terms of cleanliness the customers of the room before us used the dust on the mirror to write a message, “clean me” and we left the room after two days and the message was still there. The bathroom, towels, bedding were clean. The pool area and changing rooms were not very clean. I understand it was a holiday with many customers but I would have expected the areas to be cleaned several times during the day. We called reception many times: once to book dinner and they never responded and once to ask for an additional towel as there was only one towel in the room. For the latter they eventually responded. The breakfast was ok but not the great. Croissants seemed heated from previous days and not many options. We only had dinner once, i had the lamb pie which was very good and my partner had tikka masala which tasted like sugar sauce.

Have stayed here several times, rooms and hotel overall always lovely and clean. Reception staff very pleasant, bar staff on this visit not so. Overall our short stay was good, but had booked a double room however were given a twin room, but didn’t realise until we were actually going to bed later that night.

Beautiful and well maintained hotel. It was very hot and the AC wasn’t working but the staff made effort to ensure a comfortable stay by providing a fan. However, the room will need some deep clean as there was cobwebs and giant spider seen in the room.

Two night stay over a weekend. We found the bed to be far too firm and the room was boiling hot, even with windows open. Room was otherwise fine but nothing special. Second night was an absolute nightmare - wedding party went on until midnight and noise was ridiculous. We were unable to open windows due to the noise. Our kids were kept up until the party ended as party-goers were sat drinking outside in the courtyard next to our rooms window. Hotel apologised and agreed it was unreasonable to have not been able to move us or at least warn us in advance so we could actually sleep!! Won’t return and wouldn’t recommend. £510 for 2 nights in a junior suite. Don’t bother.

All was pretty good as it was only an overnight stay. Room was lovely, clean and looked more special than the budget hotels that we are more used to when travelling. Bit surprised there was no air conditioning. The windows only open a little as we were on the 2nd floor so air con would have been a bonus.

Stayed in a deluxe room which was much bigger than expected, pictures don’t do it justice! comfy bed, separate bath and shower in the bathroom which was great. Easy check in / check out. Pool / spa area was perfect. Room 317 was a bit loud due to it being next to the lift.

The place is a bit tired looking in some areas of the hotel. Our sink in bedroom has a crack in it, the bath had a chip in it and the shower cubicle has a crack in it! Bedroom like a sweat box with no AC whatsoever and only able to open the windows a few inches. The walls in the bathroom could also do with a fresh bit of paint. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too squishy and not enough support but I realise that is personal choice. The swimming pool and surrounding area were comfortable. Didn't eat here so cannot give review on restaraunt.

Nice friendly hotel. Room 202 was an excellent Deluxe Double with a huge bed. Very comfy! Breakfast was very good even though the fried eggs were a bit hit and miss. You could ask for poached eggs though. All in all a great stay and only a 30 minute bus ride into the city. Local pub a short stroll away.

A fine hotel for a quick stop off with all the amenities you need. Down-rated as stayed during a heatwave and the room had no form of temperature control and a tiny window so was extremely hot. Decor is very corporate and a bit dated as well.

The room got quite warm, lack of air conditioning or a fan and only being able to open the window slightly due to the window lock didn’t help to cool it down! The fridge in the room didn’t work, but other than that the room facilities were nice and included anything that you needed. The spa facilities were okay - they were clean.

A fantastic stay with the most friendly staff. Staff were very prompt at accepting requests and catering to our needs. Quick check in and check out. Kids throughly enjoyed the pool during the stay. Would highly recommend the place.

Lovely hotel, very clean, staff friendly… breakfast on sun was manic, no cups, one coffee machine broke, not much foodstuff out, and wasn’t even end of service, despite that the food was great.. there appeared to be a lack of staff, only one lady doing the job of 5, the young men just seemed to be loitering and not clearing tables. Monday different story, still broken coffee machines but plenty of food choice’s for breakfast.

I stayed here for a business event in Cambridge- decent hotel with plenty of space in the room and everything you need. The only minor downside was there was nobody on reception early check out as the night porter was busy getting himself a coffee and was quite rude, but let’s be honest we all have bad days Little bit further from town than I needed and could probably have for somewhere more central with the money it cost in taxis but that’s my bad planning.

Everything was as I expected it to be. The staff were very polite, welcoming but not OTT. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Perfect for an overnight stop.

Nice hotel on arrival but not in the best location overall. Really laboured check in, nice comfortable room but could hear guests in adjoining rooms talking. Bar and restaurant staff in the evening and at breakfast were really poor sorry to say! Wouldn’t return I’m afraid

Hotel easy to find with plenty of free parking. Room was not heated before arrival and did not change quickly when reception informed. Restaurant closed too early for late arrival (9pm). Only alternative was slow room service.

The rooms were really nice and clean A little on the chilly side but an additional heater was provided Restaurant food was extremely tasty but what let down the stay was slow service . Plus one of the staff were being rude to another staff member in front of the manager and public which should of been dealt with

I really enjoyed my one night stay at the Cambridge Belfry, for an event. The service was great - everyone was very friendly and helpful. My room was pretty spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious but with a small shower cubicle which was awkward to get into. Aircon would have been nice as it was a very hot evening. I enjoyed dinner at the bar, overlooking a lake. Breakfast was okay. It's a 5 minute walk to a large Morrisons and various other shops. I travelled by train to St Neot's, and I got a taxi to the hotel as the buses are not very frequent. Huntingdon might have been a better option for public transport.

Great location for my trip, as I was travelling across A14 and this is handily placed as well as being a superb venue with terrific facilities.

The hotel staff were very helpful and informative to our needs. About 10 minutes drive to the park & ride area and it cost £2.00 single £4.00 return to the city centre as parking in the centre is very expensive. Will defo stay there again.

Spacious room outside Cambridge that was 10-15min drive to the park & ride and West site Cambridge STEM campus. Ideal for an open day visit as parking was free at this hotel and we didn't fancy driving in central Cambridge. I used the swimming pool in the hotel which was a good size and open from 6.30am. the breakfast was plentiful and buffet style.

The biggest let down was an extraordinarily awful breakfast. Fruit did not taste of anything. Nothing was labelled. Cooked breakfast was sitting in so much fat it was dreadful. No staff. Bad coffee. The breakfast before was really good and staff were there to get you coffee. Price of breakfast a joke.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were few things we was not happy with. We needed extra pillows (only one each) it took three requests to get them. On the second day I was told at the bar I had reached my limit on putting purchases to my room, I had to go to the reception & query this, as I've never had this experience as I just pay the total bill at the end of my stay. One morning at breakfast there was not enough food as there were large wedding guest groups! On the positive side, evening meals and breakfast were to a high quality, our bed room was spacious, clean and had good facilities. The gym had a good selection of equipment. Staff generally were friendly.

Ok room, but no aircon, so stifling on a warm day. Breakfast was appalling. Overcooked bacon and sausages. Unable to separate an egg from the congealed clump floating in oil. Too much upselling prior to stay.

Nice looking hotel, good rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast wasn't so good, no hot water for tea, plates not warmed, layout messy. Basics like no salt or pepper on tables, serving staff seemed uninterested and would rather chat to each other than serve. Restaurant in the evening wasn't much better, slow to take order, slow to bring food out, pricey for what it was. Check in was bit of a joke, not allowing anyone to check in before 3pm saying rooms were not ready then bang on 3pm all rooms are suddenly available, which meant a large queue had built up and it took 25 minutes to get booked in, even more annoying was as I reached the desk the receptionist informed me she was going home and I'd have to wait for the one other person on reception to be available.

The hotel was in a good location just 15 minutes from the centre of Cambridge. Check in was efficient and very informative. The food in the bar/restaurant was really good and they had a wide range of options on the kids menu. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was lovely to see the manager helping its staff in busy periods. There was ample parking. We stayed in a penthouse suite which was very spacious and had a bath with jets which was a nice touch, it also had an inclusive minibar again another perk. The room was a little dusty but the cleaning staff were very receptive in rectifying this. The pool was a good size and clean. The hotel was family friendly as we stayed with our 3 and 1 year olds. Would definitely go back for another stay.

Had a great time, the hotel was lovely and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, had a meal in the restaurant and the food was delicious and great value for money, and breakfast in the morning again food was delicious Could not recommend enough

I was rather surprised with the global quality standard of the hotel for a 4 star hotel. We get used to go to 4 & 5 stars hotels and quality of the food on the breakfast was quite low. The breakfast was quite poor and we could not even get extra brown bread while arriving at 10am. We were given the excuse that a large group before us had taken all the bread. Quite a pathetic excuse for a 4 stars hotel. We could not be sat in a quiet place as the restaurant was quite noisy and very busy. All the fruits in the fruit salad were tasteless. The savoury dishes suggested were quite fatty and greasy, to cover the fact they were very blend. As for the bedroom, it was a nice bedroom, quite large with a big bathroom, but very noisy as it was right at the entrance of the corridor, and it was extremely noisy in the morning. Especially for a week end.

Warm welcome and nice hotel. Although a little way from Cambridge, it was coinvent and easy to drive to the Park & Ride The restaurant was on the pricy side, but the food was great. Breakfast was good, self-service with what I would say usual options. Staff in restaurant were friendly, helpful and worked hard to make everyone's visit pleasant. Spa was good, clean and made a nice addition to our visit.

I was not able to go to this hotel due to being in hospital 200 miles away with several pulmonary embolism’s. The hotel never responded to any messages is sent yet still sent me a pre check in request and then had the audacity to even send me a review

Good location for Cambridge and the surrounding area for travellers with a car. Bus and park & rides within easy access to then go into Cambridge. Couple of things in Camborne to get food, have a drink but not much else. Hotel good for EVs too. No A/C in nearly entirety of rooms so beware if a hot spell. Otherwise nice spacious suites and nice compact grounds - has a pool and other good facilities. Would use again in the right circumstances.
