We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. We were able to walk to many good restaurants and sites. Our host, Furio, gave us a great welcome and provided lots of information about the area and restaurants. He also arranged valet parking for us and facilitated the arrangements. The outside stairs were not always well lit at night. But overall, a great experience! We liked the balcony, too!

Absolutely amazing stay in Taormina!! Furio and his wife made checking in and finding parking for our car completely seamless. The apartment was in a perfect location to access all of the sights in Taormina and was well equipped, including water and a mocha pot for coffee. The host also recommended great food stops in the city and even helped us get a reservation last minute after check in. Would highly recommend!!

We had a lovely stay at Furio’s apartment in Taormina. There were two couples in our group. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the downtown area with wonderful shops and a variety of restaurants. Furio kindly arranged valet parking for us (20 Euro per day) and a private tour of Mt Etna (60 Euro per person). He also provided us with fantastic restaurant recommendations. As for the apartment, the beds were incredibly comfortable! The kitchen was basic, with a small compact fridge and no oven or toaster. As we enjoy cooking in sometimes, this was a bit challenging. Fortunately, Furio arranged a discounted continental breakfast (10 Euro per person) at the nearby hotel for us, which made not having a fully equipped kitchen easier to manage. Overall, the apartment suited the four of us well, and we had a wonderful stay in Taormina.

We loved this apartment stay! The host (Furio) was prompt, friendly, helpful and informative. The apartment is close (less than 5 minute walk) to the main road with all restaurants, shops, cafes, etc. Host supplied coffee, welcome drinks, and had the basic kitchen supplies if you want to eat in. I assume most people eat out as the restaurants are plentiful in the area, but we made a few basic meals so essential kitchen supplies were appreciated. Half hour walk to beach down and you can take cable car up. We drove rental car and used the valet service ($20 euro per day) which actually was good value vs. Parking in the parkade ($40 euro per day). Plus,The roads are so narrow and busy. We found we really did not need our car while we were in Taormina anyways. Furio also gave us great recommendations for things to do and where to eat. Would recommend this rental highly.

Furio and his wife were such great hosts, arranging parking for us and giving us loads of recommendations in Taormina. The flat itself is perfect and you can walk into the busy part of town, or you can stay over on the edge and actually interact with locals.

Our host gave us all the info to make our stay wonderful. Great location to everything we needed They arranged off site parking for 20 € a day. Breakfast buffet at the hotel across from us for 10€ pp. excellent food there also the restaurant had a rooftop bar Great food Our host was awesome. Highly recommend.

We appreciated the host Furio helping us with parking and giving us an orientation to the apartment and area. He also helped with recommendations for restaurants. The apartment is in a great location, close enough to all the “action” but far enough away to be a nice restful place away from the crowds.

The apartment is very clean and beds very comfortable. There is a well equipped kitchen. Across the road, down the steps and you are in Corso Umberto, the main thoroughfare. A very good supermarket is not far away. The amphitheatre is a must-see. We were lucky to see an opera whilst we were there. The public gardens are wonderful and entry is free. We didn’t do any excursions as the weather was extremely hot and it was lovely to get back to the air-conditioned apartment after a stroll or lunch in town. Furio, the owner is extremely helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment.

Furio, our host, was fantastic to work with! He made checking super easy and was able to help us with our travel plans. He also gives you acres to a fantastic breakfast buffet at the Hotel Continental across the street with amazing views of the coast and Etna. When we arrived the shops were closed so he gave us a bottle of his own personal wine. The rooms are spacious and clean and it’s nice to have a sitting room with a patio. The location is straight up the steps from the Porta Catania which is the entrance to the pedestrian zone. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

This place is GREAT. Clean, stylish, impeccably decorated. About 5 minutes (down MANY stairs, like everything in Taormina) to all the shops, restaurants, and people-watching you could imagine. A view that is breath-taking. The host is charming, and very friendly. He sat with us for a long time after we arrived to answer all our questions about food, shopping, groceries, gelato... One thing to clarify: When we set search filters for this stay, we looked for parking and laundry. This site came up, but it does not have either of these on-site. The host was great, and set us up with a valet service that would pick up or deliver the car, with 15 minutes notice, as many times as we wanted, for less money per day than the local parking garage. So, at first we were disappointed, but it turned out to be GREAT. As for laundry, there is a nice little laundromat about 30 meters down the road (no stairs). It's been a long time since we used a coin-op washer, but it was not bad at all.

My husband and I were delighted to have been able to stay three nights at this fantastic property. The apartment was clean and spacious with comfortable beds, excellent air-conditioning, amazing views and just steps away from Corso Umberto. We have stayed at many VRBOs in the past and I must say that Furio and his lovely wife Paola were the best hosts we have ever experienced. Furio met us outside the apartment, helped us with our luggage and showed us how everything worked in the apartment. He gave us a map of the area and restaurant suggestions. He has an arrangement for his guests to have breakfast at the hotel across the street at discounted price. He had us picked up and brought to the Flamingo Restaurant and Beach Club. There was an umbrella and beach chairs waiting for us. We had a beautiful lunch there and then were returned to our apartment. He made dinner reservations for us one night and when we could not locate the restaurant on our navigation, Paola walked us to the restaurant. We loved everything about our stay in Taormina. Thank you so much Furio and Paola. We will never forget your kindness. We cannot wait to return!

My family (myself, husband, daughter, and son-in-law) are avid travelers. On our current Italy/Sicily vacation we had stayed in 6 cities and apartments prior to Taormina. Furio was the best host we have ever experienced in a rental apartment. As requested, we called Furio as we were arriving in Taormina. He met us at the top of the street and walked (as we drove) to the apartment. We took our luggage from our car and he then had a valet park it off site (parking is very limited in town). Furio then accompanied us in his beautifully decorated apartment and made suggestions for meals and sightseeing (all turned out to be excellent). While still in the apartment he made reservations for us and made arrangements for transportation!!! The apartment had every comfort we needed. It was very clean and had beautiful views!! Taormina is a town on a hill. You need to walk up or down steep steps to get to shops or restaurants, but the apartment is centrally located. We will definitely book again with Furio on our next trip to Taormina!!!!

Spending four magical days in Taormina in the comforts of a wonderful apartment is a great way to experience this part of Sicily. The apartment is clean and comfortable and the views were amazing. Our host Furio made check-in a seamless process. He even picked us up at the train station. And his wife offered restaurant suggestions and other bits of information to help us find our way through the town. It was a perfect stay. Eat the pasta and gelato because you’ll burn calories walking the steps.
Spending four magical days in Taormina in the comforts of a wonderful apartment is a great way to experience this part of Sicily. The apartment is clean and comfortable and the views were amazing. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. It accommodated 4 people with ease. The beds were especially comfortable and the kitchen whilst compact was easy to cook in, we esepcially appreciated the coffee machine which made very nice coffee.The location was very convenient, close to shops, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.Furio was lovely and helpful, making great suggestions for restaurants (we really loved restaurant Malvasia!!!). As well as advice on the best beaches, the best way to see Etna, etc.

This is a pretty 2BR/2BA apartment at the top of the hillside town of Taormina. That means lots of steps, but not unmanageable. I have mobility ‘issues’ but I was able to manage with just some discomfort. Once you walk down to the main drag, it’s flat; going to the beach is another story. Furio gave us lots of good information, and the car park service he uses was VERY prompt and friendly.

The space is very comfortable with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Furio was so kind to pick us up at the train station on arrival. There were all the things you need for a comfortable stay including coffee, water and a bottle of wine. The view from the bedrooms and patio is magnificant! Location is perfect, right above the main street. We will definitely share with friends.

The apartment itself is perfect. There’s basically a view of a small portion of the Mediterranean Sea. It’s very loud due to the cars and motorcycles going by and smells like diesel exhaust. Please do not bring a car using the valet without a place to get into your car was a nightmare. I thought the decor in the living room was a little insensitive.

My husband and I were delighted to have been able to stay three nights at this fantastic property. The apartment was clean and spacious with comfortable beds, excellent air-conditioning, amazing views and just steps away from Corso Umberto. We have stayed at many VRBOs in the past and I must say that Furio and his lovely wife Paola were the best hosts we have ever experienced. Furio met us outside the apartment, helped us with our luggage and showed us how everything worked in the apartment. He gave us a map of the area and restaurant suggestions. He has an arrangement for his guests to have breakfast at the hotel across the street at discounted price. He had us picked up and brought to the Flamingo Restaurant and Beach Club. There was an umbrella and beach chairs waiting for us. We had a beautiful lunch there and then were returned to our apartment. He made dinner reservations for us one night and when we could not locate the restaurant on our navigation, Paola walked us to the restaurant. We loved everything about our stay in Taormina. Thank you so much Furio and Paola. We will never forget your kindness. We cannot wait to return!

Apartment was in a perfect location to see Taormina and had spectacular views from every bedroom and terrace. The hosts were fantastic, accommodating welcoming and so helpful in picking restaurants and even made reservations for us. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The apartment is very clean and beds very comfortable. There is a well equipped kitchen. Across the road, down the steps and you are in Corso Umberto, the main thoroughfare. A very good supermarket is not far away. The amphitheatre is a must-see. We were lucky to see an opera whilst we were there. The public gardens are wonderful and entry is free. We didn’t do any excursions as the weather was extremely hot and it was lovely to get back to the air-conditioned apartment after a stroll or lunch in town. Furio, the owner is extremely helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment.

The apartment was perfect for our trip. Located just minutes from all the hustle and bustle of Taormina but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful as well. It was well equipped and had the comfiest beds and great air conditioning. Furio was the best host we have ever come across in a Vrbo rental. He picked us up from the train station when we arrived, gave us great info on all the local restaurants and places to visit, arranged a day for us at a local beach lido and finally dropped us back to the station at the end of our stay. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone visiting this beautiful part of Sicily.

The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. It accommodated 4 people with ease. The beds were especially comfortable and the kitchen whilst compact was easy to cook in, we esepcially appreciated the coffee machine which made very nice coffee.The location was very convenient, close to shops, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.Furio was lovely and helpful, making great suggestions for restaurants (we really loved restaurant Malvasia!!!). As well as advice on the best beaches, the best way to see Etna, etc.

Absolutely amazing stay in Taormina!! Furio and his wife made checking in and finding parking for our car completely seamless. The apartment was in a perfect location to access all of the sights in Taormina and was well equipped, including water and a mocha pot for coffee. The host also recommended great food stops in the city and even helped us get a reservation last minute after check in. Would highly recommend!!

I highly recommend the Badia Vecchia apartment. The location is amazing. A very short walk to the ‘main’ street. It was clean, well stocked. Bed was comfortable. Very close to a grocery store, restaurants, walks/hikes into the hillside. Furio is a wonderful, helpful, and very friendly host. He really wants you to have an amazing visit in Taormina. He recommended several places to eat, go have a drink, get the best granita & even made reservations for you. Def recommend and hope to get back soon. Thanks for everything!

Furio and his wife were such great hosts, arranging parking for us and giving us loads of recommendations in Taormina. The flat itself is perfect and you can walk into the busy part of town, or you can stay over on the edge and actually interact with locals.

Both hosts Furio and his wife Paola are the essence of professionalism from start to finish! We were made to feel welcome even before we arrived; greeted upon arriving with full complete explanation of everything we needed to know including recommendations for restaurants not touristy! Their place is exactly as described, close to everything, quiet and just perfect! The day we were to leave there was a train strike and Furio looked into everything for us, he found out buses were still running and made arrangements to get us quickly to the bus station all the while ensuring we didn’t need to worry; an absolute gem of a host!!! Really nice people I would absolutely 100% recommend their place for a wonderful stay!!!

We appreciated the host Furio helping us with parking and giving us an orientation to the apartment and area. He also helped with recommendations for restaurants. The apartment is in a great location, close enough to all the “action” but far enough away to be a nice restful place away from the crowds.

Furio, our host, was fantastic to work with! He made checking super easy and was able to help us with our travel plans. He also gives you acres to a fantastic breakfast buffet at the Hotel Continental across the street with amazing views of the coast and Etna. When we arrived the shops were closed so he gave us a bottle of his own personal wine. The rooms are spacious and clean and it’s nice to have a sitting room with a patio. The location is straight up the steps from the Porta Catania which is the entrance to the pedestrian zone. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Upon our arrival we were met by the property owner Furio who spent time answering questions and giving us insight into places for grocery shopping, laundry, beach and restaurants. He made himself available for any other questions for the duration of our stay. Definitely would recommend this place.

Beautiful apartment in a perfect location -- walk to everything but also out of the fray. Furio and Paola know the town so well and were very generous with their time, recommending and booking restaurants for us, helping us make the most of our stay. This place is GREAT. Clean, stylish, impeccably decorated. About 5 minutes (down MANY stairs, like everything in Taormina) to all the shops, restaurants, and people-watching you could imagine. A view that is breath-taking. The host is charming, and very friendly. He sat with us for a long time after we arrived to answer all our questions about food, shopping, groceries, gelato... One thing to clarify: When we set search filters for this stay, we looked for parking and laundry. This site came up, but it does not have either of these on-site. The host was great, and set us up with a valet service that would pick up or deliver the car, with 15 minutes notice, as many times as we wanted, for less money per day than the local parking garage. So, at first we were disappointed, but it turned out to be GREAT. As for laundry, there is a nice little laundromat about 30 meters down the road (no stairs). It's been a long time since we used a coin-op washer, but it was not bad at all.

We were extremely well looked after by Furio and Poula from the second we arrived ( and before ) Taormina is beautiful with incredible food and stunning narrow, often stepped streets. We had very good recommendations for food with varied views and locations. We couldn’t easily see mount Etna from the balcony but had a great view from the hotel across the road for a wonderful breakfast we had. We spent a great day climbing a volcano and quad biking on the foothills of Etna. A fabulous evening as well at the local opera down the road. Not to mention Furio organising chauffeur service for a day in the sun at the beautiful beach with pizza and wine. What’s not to like? Can’t think of a single thing.

Furio was such a great host. He met us by the bus stop and drove us up to his place. His place was so inviting and the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and there is a patio to enjoy the view and atmosphere of Taormina. The Continental Restaurant is right across the street for you to have a wonderful breakfast with spectacular views. As an added bonus, Furio drove us to the train station on the day of our departure. Thank you for making our stay extra special.

We had a lovely stay at Furio’s apartment in Taormina. There were two couples in our group. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the downtown area with wonderful shops and a variety of restaurants. Furio kindly arranged valet parking for us (20 Euro per day) and a private tour of Mt Etna (60 Euro per person). He also provided us with fantastic restaurant recommendations. As for the apartment, the beds were incredibly comfortable! The kitchen was basic, with a small compact fridge and no oven or toaster. As we enjoy cooking in sometimes, this was a bit challenging. Fortunately, Furio arranged a discounted continental breakfast (10 Euro per person) at the nearby hotel for us, which made not having a fully equipped kitchen easier to manage. Overall, the apartment suited the four of us well, and we had a wonderful stay in Taormina.

My husband and I were delighted to have been able to stay three nights at this fantastic property. The apartment was clean and spacious with comfortable beds, excellent air-conditioning, amazing views and just steps away from Corso Umberto. We have stayed at many VRBOs in the past and I must say that Furio and his lovely wife Paola were the best hosts we have ever experienced. Furio met us outside the apartment, helped us with our luggage and showed us how everything worked in the apartment. He gave us a map of the area and restaurant suggestions. He has an arrangement for his guests to have breakfast at the hotel across the street at discounted price. He had us picked up and brought to the Flamingo Restaurant and Beach Club. There was an umbrella and beach chairs waiting for us. We had a beautiful lunch there and then were returned to our apartment. He made dinner reservations for us one night and when we could not locate the restaurant on our navigation, Paola walked us to the restaurant. We loved everything about our stay in Taormina. Thank you so much Furio and Paola. We will never forget your kindness. We cannot wait to return!

Our host gave us all the info to make our stay wonderful. Great location to everything we needed They arranged off site parking for 20 € a day. Breakfast buffet at the hotel across from us for 10€ pp. excellent food there also the restaurant had a rooftop bar Great food Our host was awesome. Highly recommend.

Furio/Paula were fabulous, attentive, generous hosts, providing clear pre-instructions: greeting us on arrival in the rain, arranging our parking & explaining all the apartment details, including its delightful history! They also booked us a great dinner spot and introduced us to one of the Etna wineries. The apartment is beautifully restored and well-maintained, with the location uber-convenient, about 50 steps above "the main drag" (Corso Umberto), near Porta Catania, offering walking distance to explore all the town's key locations, including the Greek Theatre & Chiesa Madonna della Rocca. We were able to enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel opposite, with the apartment kitchen also modern & well-stocked. The Balcony is great for evening Negroni's. Only issue: wifi speed is very slow.

Furio, our host, was fantastic to work with! He made checking super easy and was able to help us with our travel plans. He also gives you acres to a fantastic breakfast buffet at the Hotel Continental across the street with amazing views of the coast and Etna. When we arrived the shops were closed so he gave us a bottle of his own personal wine. The rooms are spacious and clean and it’s nice to have a sitting room with a patio. The location is straight up the steps from the Porta Catania which is the entrance to the pedestrian zone. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Furio's apartment is so lovely and in a great location, but the real bonus is how hospitable and helpful Furio was during our stay. From picking us up at the bus stop to helping us with dinner reservations, it could not have been a nicer stay!

The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. It accommodated 4 people with ease. The beds were especially comfortable and the kitchen whilst compact was easy to cook in, we esepcially appreciated the coffee machine which made very nice coffee.The location was very convenient, close to shops, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.Furio was lovely and helpful, making great suggestions for restaurants (we really loved restaurant Malvasia!!!). As well as advice on the best beaches, the best way to see Etna, etc.

The apartment was beautiful and beautifully furnished. The views to the sea and to Mt. Etna were spectacular! The rooms were spacious, and the terrace was lovely. The hosts were simply the best possible, and they made our trip to Taormina by giving us excellent suggestions of how to plan and the right restaurants to go to. Their suggestions which we followed were perfect! Parking, which is a serious problem in Taormina, was arranged by the host and was both convenient and reasonable. We left our car parked for the entire stay, but we could have had in and out access during the day had we needed to explore further afield. Both the host and his wife were available throughout our stay for any questions or assistance, and the host was present at checkout to assist us. We loved our time there, and we owe most of that to the lovely accommodations and the kind and helpful suggestions from our hosts. We would definitely stay there again and we highly recommend it. Furio and Paola are the very best hosts! The house is situated in easy walking distance to the Corso Umberto and restaurants. The Hotel Continental across the street has rooftop breakfast and bar. Paola helped make dinner reservations and gave so many good suggestions. I highly recommend staying with these hosts! Five Stars.

Furio was an amazing host! He helped line up a valet to park the car (a must!!) and made reservations at two terrific restaurants—among our best meals in Italy! The attractive apartment is in great location with fantastic views of Mt Etna and the sea, and within easy walking distance of everything.
