La Dolce Vita Umhlanga Guesthouse

Our room was nice. It was a good size. The bathroom and shower were large and there was good water pressure. There is a nice little pool, but the weather was a bit cold to enjoy it. We liked the outdoor eating area. We had access to a kitchen to use a microwave and some utensils. However, we did not get a breakfast. The first couple of days, we left before the stated hours. On the last day of our stay, we were informed that there was no breakfast. Not sure why. The location was in a very nice and convenient neighborhood, and we met the owner, who was nice and welcoming.

I enjoyed my stay here, I needed a quiet place after my long flight and that what a got. The owner was friendly and very welcoming.The staff were polite and welcoming as well. I would definitely book again. Thank you for your beautiful hospitality 👌

The core issue on this stay was that while I clearly booked Suite 3 specifically on the site, on arrival I was given Room 1 and told that the previous client had extended his stay. This was done without solutions to accommodate my booking nor compensation for the change which was inconvenient for me, given I had opted for Room 3 because of a desk I needed for working. While the room was comfortable, it did inconvenience and I was provided no excuse nor service to apologize.

Good location in a quiet neighborhood. The garden is fantastic with a view of the ocean. The host was very friendly and helpful. Planning to go back.
