Extremely friendly staff and lovely food. Apart from the lack of an elevator (hey, old buildings), it was an excellent place to stop and recharge after a long flight.

This is an old house so has very uneven floors and lots of narrow steep stairs. Ok for us but not for someone less mobile. Great location, just minutes from the station and town centre. We arrived early, the host was super friendly and let us check in early. The room was fairly big with two chairs. The mattress was clearly old as it had a massive dip but was surprisingly comfortable, pillows were good. Bedding and towels were clean. Shower was old but worked well. Overall a bit tired but all acceptable at a reasonable price. The host and staff were all great. The breakfast menu was disappointing, it said to ask for vegetarian options so we did, the option was to not order the bacon or sausage! The only additional item available was an avocado. It is really easy to keep a pack of veggie sausages in the freezer. It would be much better to not mention on the menu as this got our hopes up. There was a bowl of fruit salad on the table each morning, I’m not a fan of food sitting out waiting. Overall we had a lovely, comfortable stay. Cannot fault the location. It’s a traditional old b&b. We travelled by train, there was a car park opposite at £20 per day. Reasonably priced for the centre of Bath

Small bed&breakfast with great breakfast cooked fresh for you. Perfect location in the city center. 5 min walk from the spa. The rooms are very small and the stairs are steep so keep that in minde. We loved it and would stay again.

Great place to sleep and have a wonderful breakfast! Understand it’s an old house but didn’t like lugging suitcases up narrow stairs, but would stay here again anyway.

The hostess, Christina, was very accommodating, allowing me to drop off my bag early in the day. Her breakfast was fabulous - delicious and plentiful. I noticed that when a new guest arrived during the breakfast hour, she invited him to enjoy coffee/tea or eat something, as if he had already stayed the night. The stairs to the 3rd floor are narrow and turning, so they are not for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. My small room did not have an ensuite bath; I had to leave my room, walk a short distance down the hall to the bath, unlock the door and relock it after use. That can be an issue for someone who needs to frequent the toilet several times during the night. The hallways are well lighted, and an electric heater is provided in the room's closet in case the room is cold or the house's central heating has not yet been turned on.

The hotel wasn’t like what I had expected , the photos made rooms look bigger and much brighter and cleaner. There was a leak on the second floor with a bucket and a wet patch on carpet, also stains on the ceiling. The decorating wasn’t to a high standard, light switches hadn’t been removed when painted around. The bathroom door looked discoloured, there were stains on the bedding, also do not feel that rooms where cleaned throughly or hoovered properly. The bed kept moving everytime you went to sit or lean against it. The blind was broken in our room and was mouldy.

Overall the property was very good, excellent breakfast and service. It was difficult to keep the room warm, even fully open the radiator was warm at best. After leaving I am concerned there may have been bed bugs as I had a good number of bites on me, I am sorry for not directly reaching out to the Henry House

Very close to shops, restaurants and key sites (Roman Bath and Bath Abbey). Family room (bedroom) was as observed in the Expedia photos, tea kettle with biscuits and large bottle of water was appreciated. Shower room was very small and tight. Due to the size of the shower room and steam from repeated showers over time, mold can now be observed clearly on the ceiling. Breakfast was great. Full English breakfast, cereals, various breads, yogurt and hot & cold drinks available.

Lovely room, we had an upgrade which was a bonus as it was a family room! It was beautifully decorated & huge! Christina was a lovely host & cooked a fabulous breakfast, hubby was very pleased with the extra bacon & sausages! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

We stayed at this property due to its proximity to the train station and local attractions. We did not meet any staff until the morning of our departure. The WiFi signal in the room was very weak; our phones frequently disconnected and had to be manually reconnected. The room was on a busy street and we heard loud noises and people on the street talking and occasionally yelling until 2-3 AM. We stayed in Room 4, which is accessed by a narrow staircase from the small entry foyer. This room had an uneven creaky floor in the bedroom and bathroom. The sink in the bathroom is very small, no light above the sink mirror, inadequate shelf space for personal items, and no Kleenex or shampoo. The included breakfast was available beginning at 8 AM, which seemed late to us and did not fit with our schedule. Unfortunately, we did not have a restful stay.

Very conveniently located - a few minutes walk from station and the town centre where the main attractions are. It was self check-in - the host emailed and texted instructions beforehand so you can let yourself in and pick up the keys to your room. I stayed in single room, which had use of a separate private small shower room opposite across the hallway. Would have preferred an ensuite. The room was small and quite noisy with delivery lorries passing throughout night. Breakfast was nice and plentiful.

The Henry Guest House is in an excellent location, walkable to much of Bath including the Ancient Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge. It is clean and our room was comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and tasty. Our room did not have air conditioning so we found it a little warm overnight.

I’ll start by saying that the staff was friendly and the breakfast excellent. The reasons for the two stars is everything else: bathroom light too dim, and one kept flickering off and on; no shelf to place toiletries; shelf below mirror made sink unusable for washing face, etc. beds very hard, and the one I had had a significant depression. No place to put belongings, as style over substance in room (ie, bed side tables decorative, while they could have lower shelves). While there is a warning for stairs, first two flights normal; last flight had tight corners and could not carry bag beside you; needed to drag up behind you. While the location was great, the sleep was poor.

One of the best breakfasts ever. The quality and freshness was excellent. The whole hotel was run by Christina who was very pleasant and efficient. The only drawback was the extremely small room on the third floor. Difficult to navigate with a suitcase.

Very good. Convenient central location an easy walk from the train station. I was able to check in early, and Christina gave me an early breakfast as I was running in the half marathon. Breakfast was excellent.

The Henry Guest House was the perfect place for me to stay in Bath. It was close to the train station and all the city sites. Christina was a fabulous host and made sure I had everything I needed. She also served me a wonderful English breakfast. I was very comfortable in my room. I highly recommend this B&B!

Proprietor went above & beyond to look after us. She moved us from the 3rd floor to the 1st on her suggestion, saying that Expedia assign rooms, not her. Location excellent - near train and major Bath attractions. Excellent breakfast - fresh fruit salad waiting on table, eggs cooked to order. Highly recommended.

We absolutely LOVED The Henry. Cute room. Lovely old building. The woman working (owner?) went out of her way to make our stay great. She even helped carry one of our 47 lb suitcases up 3 floors!!! We arrived early and were able to check-in then since the room was ready- though even if the room wasn’t ready, we could have left our bags with her while we walked around town. The following morning we had an early tour booked and she prepared 2 take-away breakfasts for us! So thoughtful! We were able to check-out but leave our bags with her until we returned later that night. The hotel is just a couple blocks away from the train station, so that was very convenient. So many eating options nearby and the hotel is so close to everything. We highly recommend The Henry.

One of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had! Not necessarily for the actual accommodation, which is in a very convenient and well situated location, but mostly due to the extraordinary hospitality of the host Christina, who’s caring attention and genuine desire to accommodate our various requirements made this a very comfortable and memorable stay for us. We will especially remember the meticulous care and attention that she expended on catering the breakfast to meet our needs and expectations. We have not seen this level of care even in many luxury facilities, let alone a relatively cosy environment. We would definitely recommend to friends and family.

It was a shame no one was present to greet us or check us out. Overall it was a rather impersonal stay. Room was clean but some things could have been improved like the blind cords were far too high up to reach to open the blinds, I had to stand on the bed to reach them. There weren’t any plug sockets around the bed to plug in my phone and multiple light bulbs were missing from light fittings. Overall quite disappointed.

The location is ideal: close to railway and bus stations, sights and shops. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. You have to be physically fit though because of the stairs, especially if you are on the top floor . The Georgians who built the house didn't install lifts. But all in all a pleasant place to stay .

Small bed&breakfast with great breakfast cooked fresh for you. Perfect location in the city center. 5 min walk from the spa. The rooms are very small and the stairs are steep so keep that in minde. We loved it and would stay again.

Very conveniently located - a few minutes walk from station and the town centre where the main attractions are. It was self check-in - the host emailed and texted instructions beforehand so you can let yourself in and pick up the keys to your room. I stayed in single room, which had use of a separate private small shower room opposite across the hallway. Would have preferred an ensuite. The room was small and quite noisy with delivery lorries passing throughout night. Breakfast was nice and plentiful.

We stayed at this property due to its proximity to the train station and local attractions. We did not meet any staff until the morning of our departure. The WiFi signal in the room was very weak; our phones frequently disconnected and had to be manually reconnected. The room was on a busy street and we heard loud noises and people on the street talking and occasionally yelling until 2-3 AM. We stayed in Room 4, which is accessed by a narrow staircase from the small entry foyer. This room had an uneven creaky floor in the bedroom and bathroom. The sink in the bathroom is very small, no light above the sink mirror, inadequate shelf space for personal items, and no Kleenex or shampoo. The included breakfast was available beginning at 8 AM, which seemed late to us and did not fit with our schedule. Unfortunately, we did not have a restful stay.

This is an old house so has very uneven floors and lots of narrow steep stairs. Ok for us but not for someone less mobile. Great location, just minutes from the station and town centre. We arrived early, the host was super friendly and let us check in early. The room was fairly big with two chairs. The mattress was clearly old as it had a massive dip but was surprisingly comfortable, pillows were good. Bedding and towels were clean. Shower was old but worked well. Overall a bit tired but all acceptable at a reasonable price. The host and staff were all great. The breakfast menu was disappointing, it said to ask for vegetarian options so we did, the option was to not order the bacon or sausage! The only additional item available was an avocado. It is really easy to keep a pack of veggie sausages in the freezer. It would be much better to not mention on the menu as this got our hopes up. There was a bowl of fruit salad on the table each morning, I’m not a fan of food sitting out waiting. Overall we had a lovely, comfortable stay. Cannot fault the location. It’s a traditional old b&b. We travelled by train, there was a car park opposite at £20 per day. Reasonably priced for the centre of Bath

The hotel is in a really convenient location, right in the middle of Bath and everything is only a few minutes walk away. It is also very quiet. Breakfast had a limited choice but was nice. The 2 downsides are the cost of parking, £17 for 23 hours in Manvers Street car park a few minutes walk away and very convenient. Also, the room was very small and bathroom tiny, only room for one person and we are both quite small
