Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Niagara Falls

I thought the hotel was clean and quiet. However, the mini gym should have some free weights and not just cardio machines and I didn't like receiving a text the day of checkout asking what time I plan on leaving the hotel. I'm paid until 11am. I should not be asked if I plan on leaving earlier than that

My wife and I loved having a refigerator and microwave in our room. Also, we needed to iron some clothes and a member of the staff immediately got us an ironing board and iron. Finally, the small convenience store came in handy for snacks and drinks and the all day coffee and hot chocolate were perfect no matter what time of day it was. And, great location!

easy for parking

Booked this property for a nice get away for New Years. 3 days and 2 nights is what we stayed. Arrived to the hotel and once I went to check in there was a funny smell in the lobby, but it wasn’t that big of an issue. The manager was very nice and he helped me check in fast and easy. We went to the back to park my car and went up to the room. Once we got inside, the room exceeded our expectations of what we thought it was going to look like, and it was exactly like the photos so 10/10 for that. The beds were comfortable, room was clean. Cons: if you’re looking to workout, the gym is awful, it’s 3 cardio machines, but there is a gym about 5 mins away. Also, the fridge didn’t work. Which we didn’t realize until the next morning when we opened it and it was warm, realized the temp was at 4 so I moved it to 0, we went out that night and came back and it was still warm, so unfortunately we had to throw our food out at this point, and lastly, there are two trucks that park in the back, when we came home the second night the parking lot was full and there was no where to park and we were unsure if we could park by the trucks in case they move, so we had to make our own parking spot. All in all it’s a great location, 15 mins to the falls, everything you need is within walking distance and I would for sure stay there again when the time comes.

Great parking available, lack of cleaning staff, however facilities were clean. Shopping and dining areas were within walking distance.

I liked the close convenience to Niagra falls. No hall light when entering the room. Some tiles were cracked in elevator and had to use stairs - inconvenient. The offered a nice hot breakfast with pancakes , eggs, and sausage. The breakfast room quickly filled up and when I asked the receptionist if she could open the door to the overflow room, she said she didn't have a key and that the manager had it(no apology or smile even); I then asked if she could call the manager and she said basically no that the manager couldn't be reached( no apology) Then, however the manager showed up and opened the room.

We stayed at the hotel during our visit to Niagra Falls. The hotel is in need of updating. The floor need replaced badly and makes it look dirty. Other than that, our room was clean (exception being the carpet) and the bed was comfortable.

Unfortunately, microtels do not offer onsite pools. It is designed for travelers who are looking for a place to rest overnight. There was no irons in the rooms, must be requested from the front desk Breakfast is free, but variety is limited. Otherwise, the experience was okay.

Overall clean room, however this hotel carries noise too much. Each time a door is closed it booms and shakes the walls. The same goes for any loud cars or motorcycles coming through the parking lot. You're better off taking the stairs since the elevator is the slowest I have ever used. Not the best breakfast options, but there are plenty of nearby places to eat.

It was just okay. Parking lot is very small and crowded.

It was ok room was very small. Did not turn over room while staying there which we found out right before check in. Didn’t like that.

Disgusting blood on towels

Found a single bed bug on the bed late at night, took photos and showed to front desk staff, whom was friendly/helpful and promptly changed us to another room far away. Breakfast was unimpressive with limited seating, but free is free..

Room was not cleaned for entire 6 day stay .we had to make our own bed and get clean towels from staff.we would not use Microtel again This is the 2nd bad experience with them

I have found blood on pillow. Room was dirty

All the bedding and towels stunk like when you wash and forget to dry them. This made both of the rooms that we had reserved stink.

Room was clean. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was pretty basic. Hallways are in need of updating. Carpet was pretty stained.

Front desk person very friendly and welcoming. Hallway and room carpet was dirty.

The rooms were dirty and smelly. The sheets were not fresh. Carpets were filthy.

Super clean, everything looked sparkling clean. The front desk staff were attentive and friendly. The staff in the breakfast area kept the food items replenished. There were several outlets in the room, but most were loose and our items didn’t stay plugged in well. The breakfast was good for hotel breakfast, and satisfied us enough to get us on the road again. Convenient enough to Niagara Falls.

Room and specially bathroom was so dark. Lack of lights.

Everything was good no complaints on anything except there was only a few issues I had the WIFI was pretty slow it'll definitely need some improvement on that. Toilet was old and sometimes it could not flush I had to use a plugger at times to try to help dissolve the water to sink. Overall the experience was amazing the staff were accommodating and the people staying it were great!

Great stay. My only complaint is extremely slow internet.

Ceilings are a bit thin (either that or the people on the floor above us were stompers) but other than that no issues! Beds were comfortable and the room was clean, and priced far better than comparable properties in the immediate area.

Everything was good but Wi-Fi service was extremely poor. All staffs were very nice.Breakfast is good. Tea and coffee are available all the time.

I really enjoyed this property. The room was small but very comfortable and modern. It reminded me of the hotels I stayed in when visiting Japan. I highly recommend this property especially if you are traveling solo and don’t require a huge room

Nice little hotel with decent breakfast options. Our room was near the ice machine and elevator so occasionally a little noisy.

Convenient location to the Falls and restaurants. Very spacious rooms, with plenty of room to walk around beds, spaces for suitcases and shelves/cubbies to place/store items. Breakfast was good, warm and had options. Bathroom counter was pretty small.

Overall clean room, however this hotel carries noise too much. Each time a door is closed it booms and shakes the walls. The same goes for any loud cars or motorcycles coming through the parking lot. You're better off taking the stairs since the elevator is the slowest I have ever used. Not the best breakfast options, but there are plenty of nearby places to eat.

The customer service from last night. The friendly welcome.The guy who was multi tasking this morning with a very positive and motivated attitude making breakfast and checking out the clients. He even help out if we need it .

Desk clerk was friendly and quick. We used the pre-arrival check in option and all we had to do was present my ID and he handed me the e-keys. Great system! Hotel is close to American Falls and the tour boat parking area. Recommend this hotel!

Arrived in the late evening. The guy with Indian original at the front desk is very rude. Instead of explaining the need of deposit upfront, he ordered me to read the rules they printed rudely. Also the deposit is very high at $250 compared with other similar places. Will not stay there anymore.

We did have a great stay. From the moment we checked in, the staff were friendly and sociable. Gave recommendations on where to eat in the area. The first night, there was a lot of banging from the room above us but we reached out staff at the front desk and they addressed it right away and made arrangements to ensure our second night was comfortable. The beds were honestly some of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in. I would absolutely stay here again.

I have bad experience with front desk when i checked in. I have to wait more than 1 hours get my room.

I was very disappointed in this property. They violated my privacy by giving my ex wife my room number and key to my room. It was fortunate that I had the security lock on the door if not my life could have been in danger. I had to call the police to have her removed off the property. Very disappointed!!!

Other guests fighting all night. Front desk did nothing. Walls thin. No sleep

Check in was a breeze at the hotel. We enjoyed the stay. Our room was spacious and clean. Robert at the front desk was very helpful and very friendly. We were not to crazy about the breakfast though. We wish there were a few more choices.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience trying to check in. The staff was not very helpful and told us to figure it out with Expedia- and the issue ended up being on their end and between them and Expedia. When we called Expedia, they told us that our card had already been charged and that they were having trouble getting in touch with the hotel to sort it out (even though the clerk was available in the lobby the whole time). It took an hour on the phone with Expedia trying to get it sorted out before the clerk would let us have a room. Our room wasn’t overly clean, with dirty pillows and a dirty bathroom. You could also hear the people in the room next door and anyone in the hallway. With that said, it is in good proximity to the outlet mall. I guess you get what you pay for because this hotel was on the cheaper side.

Really good value for money. Took a $250 deposite on a 1 night prepaid room that was $150. Not cool really.

A/C fine. Nearby and reason for our stay is close to Niagara Falls.

The staff were great. The location could be better but it was ~18 min drive to niagara without being ridiculously expensive, so can’t complain. The room did feel a little small compared to other hotels with similar price. It was clean though.

The property was quiet and about 10 minutes to Niagara Falls.

The trash on property on both sides of the hotel, and the vacant property across the street does not help the appearance of the hotel.

Walking distance to many stores and restaurants.

Hotel was clean and staff was nice, but the location to Niagra Falls activities and dining was inconvenient and the area was a bit run down/ unsafe.

Great hotel, excellent staff, you can open windows, just a little not all the way, but still can open, clean room, breakfast is poor (eggs mixture from the egg powder, apples, no waffles, small sausages, very sugary yogurt, cereal, not a healthy breakfast). 4 miles from Niagara. It was a good stay for our purposes.

The breakfast was terrible. Potatoes and pancakes hard as a rock. Did not have maid service. Would not stay again.
