The George Inn

The room was very dirty and many things broken. The sink in the bathroom was covered in the previous occpiers shaven hairs and toothpaste. The genral cleanliness of the bathroom was poor, with the shower so dirty i would not use. Cobwebs throughout the whole room with a large number of them behind the headboard of the bed. Many flat surfaces was not clean and very dirty. Hotels.com says there is a restaurant in the premises but had to walk 10 minutes up the road to get an evening meal. Too many things to complain about here. Definitely will never book here again.

The pub is all but closed, restaurant and bar not open during my stay. Breakfast included is boxes of cereal in room. Bathroom not that clean, shower in poor condition. Decor very tired. Fair amount of road noise and you can easily hear the owner creaking around upstairs

Pub closed at 2000 but notice on door to phone. Landlord friendly. Breakfast was tea/coffee in the room plus bowl of cereal. Bed was comfortable but the whole place is long overdue for cleaning, decorating and general upgrade. I guess it's what you might expect for the price! 😜

The room smelt of sewage, the owner/server was unhelpful and they did not serve food despite the fact the site saying they had a restaurant. The smell was that overpowering i had to stay in another establishment

Very disappointing stay. Room musty and unclean. Bathroom unclean and shower either freezing or far too hot to use. Sold as breakfast included with wifi and tv - breakfast means a box of ceral in the room with a toaster but no bread? Wifi intermittent and eventually not available and tv not working. Surprised a room of this quality is listed on your site.
