Absolutely beautiful restored property only 30 minutes from Florence airport but up in the picturesque hills. Beautiful views of the countryside. After the organisational disaster that is car rental at Florence airport, it was such a relief. The rooms were beautiful with multiple opening windows and variable shutters to let in the liight. Mario was very helpful and friendly and the continental breakfast was very tasty. There is a beautiful restaurant called 'Le Piastre' just down the hill about 10 minutes. It is easy to miss because the front looks like an office building entrance but it opens out into a beautifully decorated restaurant with a large veranda at the rear. The food was excellent and the service good. If you want to stay away from the tourist filled city but in the beautiful countryside reasonably close to the airport this is for you.
