Comfort Suites St Charles-St Louis

The room had plenty of space for a family of 5. Their pool is kid friendly, only goes up to 4ft. My daughter enjoyed the exercise room. Our stay was awesome! Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because even though they took money at the start of the stay for incidentals, they made me pay at check out for a stained towel, my 8 year old spilled dr pepper, had to clean it up some how, which is what the incidental fee was for that they took when we first got there. Never had that happen anywhere else before. So just kinda confused as to why we had to pay at check out for something they had money to cover for. Even with that happening we will probably stay again, at least we know for next time, either that or just buy paper towels.

Advertised as room with 2 queen beds and sofa sleeper. They were NOT queen beds - they were double beds. Pool area and pool water needed cleaning - there was sediment on the bottom of the pool and clumps of hair in the pool.

For the price it was good. Pro: (we had a king room) spacious room, spacious bathroom with a very hot jacuzzi tub- that was a nice surprise! Delicious breakfast! Good coffee. Con: I called down to the lobby twice - no answer so went down there to ask for late checkout. Lady working at desk obviously sick (felt bad for her!) we have always gotten late check outs at hotels especially on a week day. Was told I could get 30 more minutes which was appreciated but an hour would half been good. I have never had an issue at any hotel of any brand ever with this (except one but it was a busy day so I understood that, it just wasn’t busy so idk why it wasn’t able to be noon). Also not sure why he front desk lady didn’t answer the phone. Also the pool was a bit chilly. The exercise room is sub-par. One treadmill (very old but worked), one bike and some weights - definitely lacking in that department. Overall it was okay, but probably wouldn’t stay again as other hotels offer a bit more, but for the price it was good.

Could use some simple repairs around the room but overall a good experience. Breakfast was delicious. Pool was freezing cold.

Everything was very good. The only complaint I had was the pool temperature was way too cold. I’m used to a cold pool but that was way too cold!

Air conditioning was terrible. It took hours to get it to cool down in our room. We ended up getting switched room because the first room we were in, the pull out bed was filthy. We had sheets with blood on it. The hallway floors were so gross. The ice bucket was disgusting, so I ended up asking for a trash bag to use to get ice. Pool chemicals were off balance, so we had to get out.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was well supplied. The guest dryer did not dry clothes.

Trued to use the washer and dryer. Tbe hotel did not have quarters available. Ehy offer the convenience and not gave change. The detergent machine did not work. Manager was no hrlp.

Breakfast was hot and fresh but very limited and only pork options . Kitchen staff was nice. Had a clogged sink and was told we had to wait two days for maintenance because it was a weekend and no rooms were available. A staff member did unclog it (not our hair) for us . Due to unused policy we were basically locked in. The cleaning staff is great. Won’t suggest staying there and the pool was burning to our eyes w/o getting into the water.

This is a very clean hotel. Felt safe. Very quiet. Has an inside pool. Nice and clean pool. Outside is clean.

We got in late and stood in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting for someone to let us in. The shower curtain was filthy The coffee keurig wasn’t cleaned out. There was an old dirty coffee pod left in it They Must’ve painted recently, because the blue painting tape was still wrapped around the furniture.

AC unit was broken so it was very very loud. Turned the AC off and sweat myself through the entire night. Many neglected spots during cleaning. Disgusting toilet and stained tub. Area around hotel is also neglected. Worst experience.

The only bad things I have to say is the cleaning staff rushed us out of our room 45 mins before check out. Then acted like she didn’t understand English after explaining to her we still have 45 mins until check out. Also the rooms could be more clean there was hair and dust everywhere.

The first room I was given had not been cleaned. There was feces splatter still in the toilet, and the countertops were clearly disgusting. The second room had roaches, which were discovered after I had already wiped down the room on my own. The customer service delivered by the front desk attendant was the sole bright spot during my stay.

Staff all super nice. Room lobby and hallways very clean and pleasant smelling. Highway noise but it is right next to a highway. Bed comfortable, breakfast was hot and well stocked.

No soap for hands or body wash. Dirty blankets and sheets had actual 'crust' on them.

The hotel is outdated and not clean, but the service was great. We booked a suite since we had kids with. In the first room we were assigned, I discovered mold around the mattress where the AC blew. So they immediately changed the room for us. The second room assigned was much larger in space, which is awesome. I inspected the mattress again, and no mold, but under the sheets and casing, there was a lot of dirt. We stayed because there were multiple layers of sheets and finding something at this point was not possible. But overall room you can tell it needs maintenance and repair. The bathroom ceiling had these droplets that formed. Similar to what a painted over smoking house would look like. There's cracked along the AC unit. Dirt in corners. We paid $150 a night, so in a was,y I guess you get what you pay for. But I've paid less before for a cleaner stay. Again, staff members were friendly, though and responsive.

Friendly front desk, clean room, and a decent breakfast

Room was ok. Staff on the other hand I found mostly lacking. The room was not cleaned at all. When I asked I was told they only clean every third day unless requested. Room was not cleaned even after asking. I was asked to take my trash out to the dumpster. We had to ask for towels each day. Orher than that the room was good for our purpose and the location is great.

Just okay. The walls are very thin so you could hear everyone coming and going out exit on the side of the building and walking around on the floor above. The breakfast is not great either However, it did the job and it was very economical.

Solid hotel that looks like it’s been recently renovated. But of a strange entrance to get into it and some stuff that wasn’t renovated shows wear and tear but everything is clean and taken care of

Big hot jacuzzi tub.

Lots of noise from the highway. Breakfast was average. Room was nice size.

2 night stay. First night mattress was horribly sunk i the middle. Terrible night sleep. Good part was a very sweet clerk names Sheila switched our room for the second night. Wished she could have comped us the first night.

Very comfortable, clean, large rooms. King bed, sleeper sofa, and enough room to also use a twin air mattress. Updated

The pillows were super small. Rooms just look dark and old but does have some updates. Front desk check in person was unperson-able.

Overall a nice place for the price. Breakfast was good. If I stay there again I will request a room that is not on the interstate sidenotrequest a

First room dirty. Moved to second room after several others were checked in. The whole staff was rude. Second room dresser drawers broken and bathroom sink faucet leaked everywhere. Breakfast we had 30 minutes left before it was closed but only eggs or a waffle no syrup no forks. Was told to use a spoon. Very rude

When checking in I alerted the guy that we had my daughter service dog with us and the man very rudely rolled his eyes at us. It was awful to receive that treatment.

Staff seemed very disinterested

Staff was very accommodating and understanding when my Expedia reservation did not show up on their system. After over an hour of hassle, no reservation, they gave me the best rate and best room available. It was very much appreciated after being on the road for 14 hours that day.

Stayed here for a concert @Hollywood Amphitheater. Great location for that type of event. Was a bit interesting get to the hotel the street IMaps sent us to was hidden had to turn around at the casino lol other than that it was pretty good. Staff wasn’t the most friendly

When I booked this room, I booked through Expedia. It was reserved as a pay in full at the hotel. However, the hotel charged my card the day before. I called them and it was explained that the manager gave approval to charge the first night in full a day ahead. I explained I booked through Expedianit their site. She said well my manager approved it and it is on our website. I explained yet again I didn't book through them. She said wel that is our policy. Next as we were arriving at the hotel I attempted to call to see if we could get checked in ahead of arrival. I was placed on hold for 10 mins and hung up. We were right down the street. At check in we were not given information about wifi, breakfast or the hours of the pool. Our stay was for 2 nights, housekeeping never came to the room to make the bed, freshen towls or empty the trash. We called the front desk foe fresh towels and was told we had to go down to get them. The towels were old, worn out and had holds and very small. Also once we checked in they hit my card for remaining balace and an additional $100, was never told to expect the full amount to be charged before check out or the extra money. Room was clean overall. I cannot speak on the breakfast selection as again the time for that was not shared at check in. I will never stay at another Comfort Suites, ever. I have booked many vacations through Expedia and never had any of them go off the agreed policy and just start charging my card.

The front desk person walked into my room unannounced unlocked it with a key and came in while I was laying in the bed and just stood there and talked to me about oh I’m so sorry. I thought this room was unoccupied. Funny thing was it’s the same one who checked me in. It took him about five minutes to finally leave.

The room was fantastic. Way above expectations. And the man at the gront desk that cheked us in, Matt Fritz, went above and beyond expected. He was very knowledgeable and super personable. He knew the surrounding area like the back of his hand. It didn't matter what we ask about he knew about and gave us directions. This is the kind of person you want to be there when you need help. Every staff petson shoukd be as good as him. I woukd give him 10 stars if i could.

We were greeted by Matt at the front desk. He was so helpful and made our stay wonderful.

The check in was very fast and the young man at the front desk was very professional.

Like the location right off the highway only complaint is navigating to get there...

Everything was terrific. A little hard to access the property, but once you're there, it was very nice. A terrific value for the cost!

Very clean, comfortable, affordable. Only downside was being a light sleeper and being right beside the freeway. Lovely and safe area.

Family trip to St. Louis but stayed in St. Charles. Didn’t realize how nice St. Charles was to explore, we stumbled upon this quaint historical town after going to the Lewis and Clark Boat Museum. Walking the shoppes and sidewalks was something I hope to do again.

Nice staff and clean room, but kind of weird way to get to the property. Just a 5-10 min drive to downtown St. Charles, which is very historic and lovely!

Very nice hotel. Convenient location with shopping and dining only blocks away. Good value.

We have stayed near highways often but the road noise at this hotel was more than we’ve experienced before. Had a difficult time sleeping. Staff was friendly. Didn’t eat breakfast because catching an early flight. A little difficult to figure out how to get to hotel and a bit of a workaround to leave.

Room was super clean and breakfast was great. They had sausage, bacon, biscuits, eggs (scrambled, fried, boiled), pancake/waffle maker, cereal, bagels, muffins, pastries, fruit, and lots more.

The hotel was nice. The breakfast could have been better stocked. Several things only had one or none.

Staff great. Location was excellent if you have a car. Coffee machine in room didn’t work quite right but there was always coffee in the lobby Kids loved the pool. Breakfast fruit was apples plus sometimes bananas, closing at 9:30

Service at the front desk was amazing. The room was nice. Small cracks here and there. Small towels. Breakfast was nice but the worker was refilling the muffins without gloves on. Small gym but close to many restaurants and places. Would recommend staying here!
