Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-City Avenue

The front desk staff were professional and responsive. The room was comfortable and very spacious. The housekeeping, however, did an abysmal job of cleaning the rooms. None of the trash cans had liners, we had a cracked ice bucket that was not replaced until after two days of bringing it to their attention, They repeatedly kept forgetting to provide us bars of soap as well as a full complement of bath towels. They forgot to clean our room on two different days and we had to call the front desk to have them send a housekeeping staff person to do it. We definitely will not be going there again.

Room was clean but somewhat “shopworn”. Stained carpet, toilet paper holder falling off the wall, no major issues, there were just signs of wear all over.

When we first arrived we were not pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The front desk was incredibly apologetic and immediately moved us to a different room which was excellent. We weren’t upset, just hopeful for a change and they accommodated politely and quickly. Things happen, but when a property is so willing to make it right that is greatly appreciated. Front desk staff was very kind and even gave our pups treats.

Be prepared to pay $30 a night for parking, our room had a mildew or mold thing going on in the shower (rm 501 have pictures too), no trash bags in containers, no soap in shower dispenser, fan in shower didn’t work.

Greetings We considered staying with family- I decided to stay at Homewood. It was like having our own apartment. Best decision. Shower was amazing with plenty of hot water. Bed super comfy. Quiet. Staff is warm, intelligent, cheerful, attentive. Breakfast great. Even the convenience market had essentials- tweezer and nail filer. We felt more than at home. We felt privileged. All our boxes checked and more checks than boxes. Feel me. Totally recommend. We’re coming back 4/28, to this location. Take care. Thanks for reading.
