Best Western Plus Philadelphia Convention Center Hotel

Room was nice, could have been cleaner but the view was lovely from the 7th floor. We were there for just one night so the elevator not working could have been worse

Got towed cause they couldn’t tell me about parking

This place is perfect for convention attendance. The walk there is short. The free breakfast is a real one: sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, waffles, cereal, muffins, bagels, and cream cheese, and several other options. The gym is small but adequate and maintained. The ground floor bar/lounge/lobby is an inviting place to unwind without the bustle of the larger hotels. Room was clean and well-appointed. Noise level was low to non-existent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay again.

Parking is across the highway, which makes really hard to walk with luggage for two blocks. Also, it is $38 for parking.

The staff were great! the location ok - the recommended parking lot full - email with parking lot should offer choices? elevator very slow but ok - no complaints except breakfast could have been better - maybe hot water right next to the oatmeal? hot sauce? some potatoes?

Ice machine was broken

Parking is offsite and a small walk on the other side of the blvd. The hotel was clean, staff friendly. Check in was smooth.

The only downside,the parking was suppose to be approx 22$ but in reality it cost us 38$ per day.

I actually enjoyed my stay - the room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. My only major complaints are the card keys being too sensitive - had to get new ones after the old ones stopped working twice. The elevators incredibly slow for some reason, which was emphasized when I had to keep coming back to the lobby to fix my key cards. Staff on duty were helpful and attentive, so the problem was resolved. Thank you.

Room 509 - Stayed one night. TV remote wouldn't let you punch in channels If your on 5 and pressed 20 it would say connection error. You can use the channel arrow keys only. Bathroom floor hadn't been maintained. I don't know for how long, but some drops fell after washing up from the sink area and you could visibly see the floor dirty. There was also two pieces of hair on the floor of the bathroom when I got there. The rug in the floor was damp and stale. It was quiet and peaceful in the room upon arrival but I realized the walls were hollow at around 9:30pm. Loud muffled voices voices could be heard from both ends. Checkout is at 11am - In the morning 9:30am the when I got back to the hotel the cart of the cleaning lady was passed my door as I was and packing belongings there was lot of noise outside and while taking a shower there was banging and something very heavy fell against the opposite side of the wall of where I was showering?! 10:58am the cleaning lady knocks on the door saying are you ready to go? I can wait if your not??!! She can clearly see that I'm ready and gathering my things. This lady was rushing indirectly since 9:30am The bed was made. AC worked. Heat worked but nasty smell. The lamp with the extra sockets and charging port was great for me I got to charge all my devices.

Convenient location, friendly staff, very clean

Lots of construction all around the hotel. Made it very inconvenient to get to the hotel. Michael checked us in upon arrival and he was very kind. The bed linens were clean but the bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom had clean towels hanging but it did not look clean. There was orange mold and black mold inside the shower that could definitely have been cleaned off with the right cleaning supplies. My husband and I both wore shoes in the shower because it looked that bad. The toilet was gross and we actually used a tissue to put over top of the handle so we could flush without feeling dirty. There is no parking garage for the hotel. You have to park in an open air lot that you pay for at a kiosk (expensive) and it’s not even in the same street as the hotel. We will not be staying at this property again.

There were bed bugs in our hotel room and the staff and management refused to compensate for the lack of cleanliness.

The room was super clean, staff was friendly. Breakfast was what you would expect. Their espresso machine was nice, delicious!

The location was good and the staff was ok and the room was average but the room had a cockroach running around on the second night. The bathroom was dirty and rusty and not properly cleaned, there was very limited body wash, conditioner and shampoo. The room was moldy and the carpet was wet with a humid feeling in the air. The double room was actually small and feels tight for two people.

Little drain flies in the room. Shower was yellow with mild. Picture frame on the wall was cracked and almost falling off the wall. Found some small little hairs (yes, you know) that were NOT mine. Room overall was very damp, not sure why.

Small nice clean property. I disliked my room as another building was blocking the view even the sunlight. Room 412. If you’re claustrophobic do not stay in this room! Breakfast was not the best. Very simple and not a lot options to eat. Orange juice was horrible.

Clean hotel and close to where I needed to go. What would be helpful is if the staff had a map of where the rooms are. Also, the cable channels are very limited.

Very clean room. Service happened promptly every day. My room was dark. The only window in the room faces a small halfway with a window facing the street (maybe because we couldn't access the hallway.

The room was nice, but there was a window with a view of a hallway with other rooms I am not quite sure why or what that was about. but overall the room was nice. The water got nice and hot and the shower was excellent.

The door to our room was smaller than the door frame. Light poured into the room from the outside hall way. and because the door was smaller than the door frame, you could hear everything going on in the hallway- making it impossible to sleep.

Location isn’t the best and it’s loud. You can hear the traffic all night.

The window blackout curtain did not work, and the window let outside light into the room, which made it very uncomfortable. The air conditioner is right by one of the beds, which made it very cold for this person, but for the other bed, it was just right. It's not a very good design to have the air.

Staff was nice, room was spacious, a little out dated but overall good for price!

Okay location if you plan to do nightlife stuff on nearby Callowhill St. Lots of homeless people on the block. Hotel is in a former factory or office building with other tall buildings connected on either side, meaning that many rooms have windows that only show a narrow crack between the buildings. The walls are paper thin and I could hear conversations from adjoining rooms in full detail. Rooms are small but clean, and the staff was friendly.

When reservation was made, we noted that the "driver would arrive well after midnight, please hold room". Driver called hotel before midnight and gave the 2nd shift manager his ETA and was told no problem. When driver arrived, 3rd shift manager told driver that he did not arrive early enough and his reservation had been deleted and did not want to allow him to check in. 3rd shift manager reluctantly re-booked the room, taking 45 minutes to check in after driving 12 hours with an emergency medical shipment. Property sent several automated emails indicating they were cared about their guest's stay, but overnight manager would really rather not be bothered by someone needing to get sleep after driving 12 hours. It's a 24 hour world folks, get out of this 1970 mentality that everyone is on the same schedule. If the 3rd shift manager needs emergency medical care in the middle of the night, he will expect the hospital to have what he needs. But dont try to check into his hotel at 03:00.

Check in: neither clerk spoke to me. Security was talking to them and using the MF swear word to describe a lady who they said was in a room someone had already checked out of. Finally checked me in after 10 min of listening to this. Around 11pm 2 ladies tried to get into our room with a working key. I scared them and then dead bolted the door. Security showed up yelling at me that I was in the wrong room. I showed him my room key and he started laughing that someone must have made a mistake and gave these ladies our room after it was given to us. Took my room key and said he would be back and never returned. My husband went down around 6am to say we needed a key and what happened and they said why, since you are checking out. My husband said we need a key to go to breakfast and return! Room was very clean, no issues there, breakfast was very basic but clean. My 9 year old daughter is traumatized from the other guests coming into our room and was scared all night. I got very little sleep before a very important event today waiting on security to return to our room. Very unprofessional and disturbing experience.

The front desk staff was attentive and eager to assist. There was no wait time and everything was explained to make from check in, check out, breakfast, gym, and bar. Thank you for your hospitality!

I stayed at best western plus hotel after American Airlines issued me—and approximately 40 other passengers—a voucher due to a flight disruption. Upon arrival, the hotel representative refused to accept any vouchers from American Airlines. As a result, many stranded passengers, some of whom lacked access to a credit card or sufficient funds, were forced to find their own accommodations late at night. This was deeply concerning and unacceptable. In one instance, a passenger had American Airlines on the phone and offered to let the hotel representative speak directly with them, but she refused. When the situation escalated due to understandable frustration from stranded travelers, the hotel staff member threatened to call the police and told the passenger to leave the premises. This response lacked basic empathy and professionalism. Personally, I encountered issues booking the hotel through Expedia, as the system would not allow me to select the correct date. I had to call Expedia support for assistance, and only after further effort was I able to confirm a room through the hotel staff. Overall, it was a chaotic and stressful experience made worse by an inflexible and unsympathetic front desk representative. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for guests in emergency travel situations.

Great staff! Hotel was clean. Service at the hotel was stellar. Hotel is walking distance from food, shopping, restaurants, and attractions.

I was traveling alone for work and had booked two nights in the Best Western. The male receptionist refused to check me in as I didn't have my passport with me. I provided my driver's license as proof of identification and refused it telling me they will only accept a passport (which is not specified in the information upon booking, it says government issued ID). I was left stranded without access to Wi-Fi and tried to urgently book another hotel and thought perhaps the passport requirement was a rule across the board for hotels in Philadelphia. Thankfully I got booked in another hotel with no issues however had to miss my first work commitment due to this situation. Extremely disappointed in the service here. I've attached a photo of the hotel information which will need updating to specify only passports are accepted.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very close to convention center maybe 5-7 minutes depending on your pace. However the neighborhood it sits in leaves a lot to be desired. We did not walk any after dark. Hotel itself is serviceable. Room could use new carpet but that was only issue. Lobby area clearly remodeled. Just at night felt a little sketchy the neighborhood. Lots of trash on street and sidewalks out of their control but trying give others a feel for things. We stayed here because it was so close to convention center and NOT 300 plus like hotels next to/attached to CC.

Very good stay, the facility was quiet, clean and orderly. The staff was exceptionally good and professional. I liked the location because it was close to downtown without being actually downtown. Off the beaten path, but we were able to walk to attractions and food establishments.

Friendly staff at check-in, the room was nice and clean. Whats more the location was convenient walking distance to tourist attractions, and safe neighborhood. Overall I'm very satisfied and will refer to my friends.

The beds were the best part…comfy….parking on -existent. No coffee out in afternoon. Tried ice machine, didn’t work at all. Breakfast was terrible, eggs cold, coffee cold and nasty. 1 staff checking people in took 30 min. No help directions to Wells-Fargo. Overall disappointing experience for a 192.00 stay. Hampton Inn so much better experience. Couldn’t stay there due to a gas leak.

Breakfast was sub par. Eggs wear obviously made from powder. Each am they wear cokd as was the sausage & coffee. Room was clean but sparce.

Breakfast was nonsensically limited. Only pork sausages and scrambled egg as hot food. Cross contamination due to customers using the layout. My personal towel was taken and was not found. Only pro: staff were nice.
