I religiously give glowing reviews, but this hotel charges $10/day for parking, which is unacceptable. I watched all the guests ahead of me at check-in express surprise and frustration when told they must pay for parking. The parking fee is paid to another company (not the hotel) and you must pay via the phone at check-in instead of just charging it to your room. The parking should be free if you’re paying ~$300/night for a room. Away from that, the hotel is OK. Darija at the coffee bar was very helpful and responsive. The hotel accepts dogs so expect some barking during the day, but it’s quiet at night. I stayed at both the Hilton (oceanfront) and Holiday Inn (oceanfront), both a few blocks away, and I would say a room at the Hilton Garden Inn is worth about 1/2 the price of one of those oceanfront rooms. Jennifer, the manger, was very friendly, but I will not stay here again.

The hotel has only two elevators for the entire place. We arrived on a day when many people were checking in and more than 100 rooms checked out. We stood in a long line to get the elevator. Also, check-in is a floor up from the floor where you enter with all of your baggage. Just a really bad layout when a lot of people are going back and forth all day to the beach.

We loved seeing this property redone now that is is a Hilton! But there were a few upgrades that still need done. The luggage carts are in need of fixing - 2 of them were very broken. The restaurant is nice, but the breakfast menu isn’t available online anywhere and the phone line to the restaurant was never answered any of the times we tried to call down…. I would also love to see the guest laundry be included. We paid for our stay, and paid for parking. The laundry is self service machines, but it costs $4 per load to wash, and then $4 per load to dry which can only be paid in quarters. Overall, the stay was lovely and the location is perfect, just a few picky things to make it even better!

We love the location and usually very clean,our room this time had black marks on floor in bathroom like soles of shoes and personal toiletry items in shower area from previous guest, the small coffee shop was not open our entire stay which was disappointing, the restaurant is extremely expensive and the quality of food does not match price. We have stayed here for many years and it is a great location with a few of our favorite restaurants close. price point is a bit high you are paying for location and so disappointed in pool very small and shallow you pay for ocean view which is beautiful and the parking is great there plenty of room for all never an issue.

We had a great experience at this property. The check in was smooth and the staff was friendly. We had a oceanfront suite with a great view and a small kitchen. There was an indoor heated pool which we a plus with the cold and snowy weather. Will definitely be back!!

I found the hotel to be overrated. While the TV in the room looked nice, it only allowed live channels—streaming apps like YouTube or other movie platforms couldn’t be connected. The pool also wasn’t well-maintained; there was sand at the bottom and overall it didn’t feel clean enough.

The room's carpet had stains. There were other people's hair in the shower. As I think about it, the room could've been cleaner. Overall, the staff at the front desk was AMAZING!!! The smiles, warmth, and the way that they attended to my every need touched my heart. I was in tears. We didn't arrive until around 12 midnight. The young lady at the front desk held my hand as I was checking in. I was exhausted. She had the most beautiful smile as she calmed me down, registered our car, and told me about her trip to NY. The day that we checked out, I told the gentleman that we had to drive around until 4. Our special needs daughter was too sick to make that journey back home. He informed me that there was a room open now before 4, but it was on a lower level if I wanted it. We were so grateful! As we unloaded the van, my husband was having a conversation with a gentleman and we discovered that he was from our hometown, Jersey City, NJ. Other staff interactions were all so kind and pleasant. Although the rooms were not too great, the staff made the establishment 100 out of 100. we can't wait to return in November for my birthday.

Room was old, had no desk space (no place to set a a PC), and the housekeeping was awful (missed days cleaning, ran out of towels, and never did even a decent job of cleaning the sand off the floors. You could hear everything that was being said in the hallways.

The hotel property was lovely and the location is perfect, quiet beach front and steps to the board walk. However we booked an ocean front suite knowing we’d be in the room a lot with our infant sleeping, and the room reeked of dog urine. The hotel staff checks in with you on multiple occasions to see how things are going which is great. They relayed our concerns to housekeeping who shampooed the carpet twice during our stay in addition to keeping the room well cleaned and stocked. The smell though still smacked us in the face every time we entered the room. I say this as a dog mom familiar with the challenges of house training and thinking of my dog as part of the family, I would not stay here again and risk having the smell of urine burning my nostrils for my vacation.

Great view, great staff, room was not as clean as it could have been. Some trash was on the floor when we arrived (candy wrappers and tissues) and the toilet paper holder was broken. Room was a nice set up and we would stay here again.

The shampoo bottle in the shower was empty and the bed closest the the balcony had a HUGE hump in the middle of it. It was the most uncomfortable bed I ever slept on. For a Hilton Garden Inn we were very disappointed. Paid way too much money for this one for sure. The view/location was great but the room was less than stellar.

Everything was great starting at check in to check out. The room was beautiful with every room having an amazing view of the beach. The only complaints I have are that hotels.com did make me aware that there was a charge to park your car in the parking lot. This should be something you make the person booking aware of. Another thing is that the bathroom only has a barn door. I know those are the latest fad, but the bathroom is not the place for a barn door. And lastly the pillows were not great. All 4 pillows on the bed were extremely soft. They should have pillows of different softness for guests.

Good location and price. Clean. Air conditioning too loud with a vibrating noise that blows very cold and forceful air across the queen bed near the balcony door. One bed was comfortable but the other not as much. I would go back but would be more aware of issues and would have asked for help if it hadn’t been such s short stay
Good location and price. Clean. Air conditioning too loud with a vibrating noise that blows very cold and forceful air across the queen bed near the balcony door. One bed was comfortable but the other not as much. I would go back but would be more aware of issues and would have asked for help if it hadn’t been such s short stay

Property was nice, we had a great view of the beach and the staff was nice but it was a bit overpriced considering it’s a bit outdated on some things which caused my family and I small inconveniences. The TV’s are advertised as being able to cast from your phone, even the remote in the room says press menu to cast but surprise you can’t cast. We called front desk and they apologized for not having casting TVs. This would not have been a big issue but it rained almost every day we were there and my wife and I just wanted to catch up on our shows if we couldn’t enjoy the beach. So false advertising. Second was the elevators, they are extremely slow. Like you might be waiting 5 minutes slow. They only have two elevators and traffic was pretty busy inside the hotel. They need to either add another set of elevators or make some adjustments to the ones available. Overall it was a 6/10 experience.

Very nice and clean room. A lot of places to eat in walking distance. Only problem you cannot caste to the tv and the tv is bolted to the wall so I couldn’t connect my fire stick.

We loved our stay! Vince is very personable and makes sure you are enjoying your stay. Anastasia was outstanding and helped us with getting adjoining rooms. The views are amazing! Don’t miss the chance to interact with the staff at the Solstice Grill in the hotel. They were so fun to talk to. We only live an hour away from OC, but took our daughter from PA to enjoy some beach time. This hotel will always be our go to when staying in OC. You folks are great!

Absolutely loved my stay with Hilton Garden Inn at Ocean City. Everything went as expected. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Vickie at the front desk let us know about the dining options when we asked and always had a smile. I was so pleased with this property that I will certainly go back very soon!

Everything was great…. BESIDES the staff that were at the check-in Saturday. For the price paid you think she would treat you better than the cheaper hotels. We have had top service and paid nothing close to the treatment received by that individual. Absolutely downright disrespectful.

Loved the ocean view, the extremely friendly staff, esp Check in staff Mira and customer service rep Kyle who made sure my stay was comfortable. This is the first time I’ve experienced a representative who was truly a text away and immediately responded to my every request! I also appreciated the upgrade, but my neighbors were extremely loud as if they were in the very next room. I think this unit may have been a 2 bedroom suite that was divided by a door. It would’ve worked if it wasn't a room full of people AND children. The main reason I gave a 4 star was because of the HORRIBLE on site restaurant, Solstice! My husband and I looked forward to staying in a location that we didn’t have to leave out for breakfast, lunch, dinner, esp breakfast. After our first night we never went back! The food was totally unacceptable to sell to customers!!! We got take out, and just threw it away. If we were eating in we would’ve sent it back!

We had such a fantastic stay at HGI in OCMD that we are going back in a few weeks. Room was nicely appointed with a great view of the beach, definitely a highlight of our stay. Our stay was quiet, relaxing, and near everything we needed. Parking was a breeze. All staff and front desk agents were kind. Restaurant staff was helpful and friendly, food a bit pricey as expected, but excellent. Beach access is very easy and there are showers before going back into the hotel. No complaints. Nothing was missing!

I booked and paid for a King Suite, but upon arrival, I was told the hotel had overbooked and couldn’t give me the room I reserved. Instead, they downgraded me to a regular King room. That would have been disappointing enough, but what really shocked me was their refusal to refund the price difference. This was their mistake, yet they expected me to pay for a suite while staying in a standard room. When I asked for the refund, they flat-out refused, showing no accountability or professionalism. The weekend front desk personnel were not as welcoming or personable as the weekday front desk personnel. We check in on a Thursday and they were lovely but there was one young woman, Friday night, I believe, that was downright rude. Other than that, this is my second time staying at this hotel and will absolutely do it again.

We stayed one night in late August and I was very happy with this hotel! I love how it’s oceanfront, has 11 floors, a decent priced restaurant and coffee shop all in one building. The views are beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, the room was clean & updated. It has inside and outside bars with easy beach access. Tons of charging ports in the room & updated bathroom. No super big complaints. I did hear a little bit of the guests next door (wave sounds or noise machine can drown that out) and It’s a bummer having to pay $10/night for parking but that’s par for the course at the shore. One thing I noticed is that the hotel is accessible, very quickly, off the beginning of the boardwalk & anyone can walk in, & go up the elevator. It seems like a very safe area but just something I noticed. Other than that, we will be back again! Highly recommend this hotel for families, there were tons of kids and people of all shapes & forms :)

There was no hostest to seat customers or take orders to go at Solstice. The wait staff was not attentive to greet patrons and many people turn around. I looked forward to dinning there but was not able to after waiting for 10 mins with no one to greet or seat me.

I liked that they have an indoor pool and oceanfront views. The rooms were a nice size and clean. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the parking is easy. The breakfast service was slow and we didn't have a good dinner. The bartender gave my husband a glass with a chip in it and then second glass had lipstick stains. We waited almost an hour before we found out they didn't have the menu item I ordered and then my daughter found a hair in her food. Overall we had a great stay but unfortunately we won't be returning to the restaurant.

Loved the hotel and the location. I am not a pet lover and didn't realize they are allowed in all rooms which meant one could have stayed in the room I stayed in.

Great place to stay right on the beach! Staff is phenomenal. Reynolds even tracked us down after checking out in the parking lot to give us a nice Sonos speaker that we inadvertently left in the room. The outside bar is great with good drinks and food too!

We had a fantastic stay. The "we" was Me (Mom) and my two teenage daughters (13, 14) and our mid-size dog. We had a King, ocean front room with a balcony. The room was incredibly clean and felt very fresh and comfortable. It also had a pull out sofa which we used. The ocean view was spectacular and we lucked out being on the 2nd floor because our pup is not a huge fan of elevators. So getting in and out was a breeze. The restaurant and bar were also great! The deck is so nice with lots of rockers to enjoy the sunset. My girls really enjoyed the snow cones available for purchase in the front lobby as well as the little store where we could get snacks, drinks, etc. The whole property was decorated very nicely. It's also a great location and walked everywhere when we wanted to go play mini golf, go to the amusement park and go out for a casual dinner. Of course steps to the beach is a nice plus and there is also covered parking which is great. And the start of the boardwalk is also about a black away, so easy access! All staff was also very friendly and helpful. Overall an amazing stay and I look forward to booking again!

Room was very clean. My issues were no wash clothes provided in the bathroom and chairs on our balcony were extremely uncomfortable to sit in! I don’t mind every other day cleaning and clean bedding, BUT extra garbage bags for each room would be helpful! The staff were very pleasant and the doormen at the entrance were very eager to help! The view from our room was fabulous!
