A lovely clean hotel with convenient parking and within walking distance of city centre. Although situated on a very busy road, the hotel has taken successful measures to block out traffic noise in the rooms. It has a nice independent italian restaurant attached that serves good food too.

Staff superb . Glass shelf in bathroom wobbly and dare not use it . No spoons in room for drinks ... stirrers would be enough . Did not use shower . Bed ok but pillows not very comfortable . Good last minute availability . Wasnt clear it isnt free parking though

For a budget hotel it was very good. The on site restaurant was also very nice. The area around the hotel was not so nice with lots of closed shops and restaurants.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Although hotel is between busy roads the double glazing is amazing and didn’t hear a thing. Air con worked too. Only moan is the towels are tiny. Great for one night stay.

The hotel was clean, but could do with refresh in places. Staff were friendly and professional. Although next to busy roads, soundproofing was very efficient and didn't notice the traffic. My wife found the bed a bit hard, I was fine, but it did make a lot of noise, even when just sitting on it. The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. The location was ideal for our needs, a trip to The Deep and a bit of shopping. If visiting Hull again, I would have no problem booking into Cornmill again.

I’ve stayed at the Cornmill several times, now you have to pay over £7 to park your car. This now now puts the total cost of your stay in line with (better!!) Hotels in the area. Not sure I would stay again. The walls are very thin with limited sound insulation, I could hear the conversion of the occupants in the room next door. Ear plugs are a must.

This room cost me £48 so my expectations were fairly low. I was very pleasantly surprised. Parking was easy although a further cost to consider. Hotel staff very friendly and the hotel was really clean and quiet. The room was good, bed comfy and the bathroom was quite big. Tea/coffee in the room. Considering it was on a busy road the room was quiet. I would have given this a much higher rating but for the smell in the room. I wasn’t sure what it was but it really wasn’t pleasant. It was like there was a soil pipe vent or something but I couldn’t find/see one anywhere.

Not impressed. Room was tiny, the windows were filthy and didn’t open properly. Hair in the tea cups! Dust everywhere. Mattress was rock solid. All topped off with a foul stench of sewage! Very poor experience. Will never be coming back!

Found Housekeeping was not good room not cleaned, bathroom not cleaned. Cups not clean. Shower head had not been cleaned in months by look of it. Pull cord for light in bathroom needs replaced dirty the top was clean but the bottom was bad. The young lady at reception when i arrived very nice. I had to leave a day early but was happy to.

First time staying here for one night, check in was friendly and helpful. Room was a little dated but nice and clean also WiFi was good. Didn’t try the main restaurant in the evening but did have breakfast in morning of which was continental and it was good and staff were nice and pleasant. I would personally stay again

The room was clean, but old and tired, tv didn't work, 3 staff seen one good and friendly, one adequate, the night staff poor, disinterested and didn't pass on my complaint about having hot water only in the sink in my room. Having the KFC and Asda over the road was useful.

Our stay here was fine for a one night visit. Bed was comfy and bathroom was good, with a nice shower. The Italian restaurant on the first floor was quite good, and we enjoyed a relaxed dinner there, so didnt need to go out again after a long drive that day. Parking lot was big with plenty of spaces available (for an extra fee). Front desk staff person was helpful, and there is the option to purchase snacks and beverages at the desk. Good location for walking into historic City Centre and waterfront attractions (i.e. aquarium). The bedroom was fairly small with low ceiling so not comfortable for my tall husband to move around easily in the sleeping area. Bed takes up much of the space, so we felt cramped, and could not open our suitcases except on the bed. We would ask for a larger room next time.

This must be the world's smallest double room. Useable head height 1.94metres x 2.00 metres. We had to move the bed over by .8metre to get round without bashing my head on the dormer. The TV is on a wall bracket that protrudes into the tiny space making impossible to avoid when passing between it and the end of the bed. I am 1.84m tall and could only just operate the velux window. Anyone under 1.75 would really struggle. No chair provided (obviously, one wouldn't fit).Kettle provided too tall to fit under the tap.Bit rich charging £7 to park the car when the hotel owns the car park. To sum up, they should not be using this as a bedroom.

The assigned double standard room was already occupied which was embarrassing when we disturbed the occupant! Reception hadn’t checked the room allocations that day. We were given a queen and single room instead so separate beds. Comfy and clean but not what we booked.

The Hotel was as expected for one in this location. The staff however were above the normal. Most helpfull to me as a disabled person I was genuinly surprised. The receptionists on duty when I arrived and left, without me asking took control of my luggage all the way to and from my car, Most helpful I am very grateful

My stay was spoiled by the receptionist who told me “you’re not a nice person “…and “well you’re not getting a free upgrade “….because I complained about the horrible cheap and nasty bed…..then wanted to try and overcharge me when I offered to pay….. Pay a bit more and go somewhere else that values your business is my advice….

The staff were lovely, friendly & helpful. They originally put us in a room that had a wooden bed & was very smelly, but after we went down to complain they exchanged our room to one with a divan which was satisfactory, the receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful.

Would stay again... Stopped for two nights, staff was friendly and super helpful.... Room was above what I was expecting for the price I paid.. clean with plenty of space.. perfect for somewhere to class as base whilest in the city... 10 minutes walk from city centre can't really complain Will be booking again 👍

For a budget hotel it was very good. The on site restaurant was also very nice. The area around the hotel was not so nice with lots of closed shops and restaurants.

Nice property close to Asda food store and some other shopping. Surrounding area to the west is run down but it’s still a good base for visits to Hull. And water is extremely hot (a luxury in the UK).

The hotel was fine clean and comfortable. It was a little far out for us from the centre. The Italian restaurant in the same building was excellent.

Stopped overnight before starting my journey to Tenerife. Will certainly be stopping here again. Really handy for the city centre and transport into the town

The hotel was clean, but could do with refresh in places. Staff were friendly and professional. Although next to busy roads, soundproofing was very efficient and didn't notice the traffic. My wife found the bed a bit hard, I was fine, but it did make a lot of noise, even when just sitting on it. The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. The location was ideal for our needs, a trip to The Deep and a bit of shopping. If visiting Hull again, I would have no problem booking into Cornmill again.

Location is okay with shops near by. Room small and clean, walls are very thin so neighbour can chat with you Outside noise quite bad all night and no one has adjusted the door closers, so they slam, 0400-0430 in the morning! Breakfast is a joke, very little food put out, Tbf I was asked if I wanted anything else but you shouldn’t have to

Great reception on arrival and departure The rooms were spacious and very clean The Italian Restaurant Osteria, attached to the hotel was delicious! Great experience will book again

First time staying here for one night, check in was friendly and helpful. Room was a little dated but nice and clean also WiFi was good. Didn’t try the main restaurant in the evening but did have breakfast in morning of which was continental and it was good and staff were nice and pleasant. I would personally stay again

The hotel was clean & a fab base, across from Asda where we had a basic breakfast hotel just offers continental & butties which may have been better we didn’t try them. Bar area nice with lovely Italian. Would stay again only problem we had was the shower was not very good very hot I mean scalding then freezing.

Our stay here was fine for a one night visit. Bed was comfy and bathroom was good, with a nice shower. The Italian restaurant on the first floor was quite good, and we enjoyed a relaxed dinner there, so didnt need to go out again after a long drive that day. Parking lot was big with plenty of spaces available (for an extra fee). Front desk staff person was helpful, and there is the option to purchase snacks and beverages at the desk. Good location for walking into historic City Centre and waterfront attractions (i.e. aquarium). The bedroom was fairly small with low ceiling so not comfortable for my tall husband to move around easily in the sleeping area. Bed takes up much of the space, so we felt cramped, and could not open our suitcases except on the bed. We would ask for a larger room next time.

Hi,everything it was fine. Check in really quickly but the restoran down stairs for us it was disappointing. If you are not eating in there,but take it some drinks it is not allowed seat dawn the table in there....

We checked in late as we were only staying one night to help my daughter move out of her dorm. We didn’t bring any of our soap and shampoo since we thought they would have it. The room had no soap or shampoo in the room. It was too late to get it from the front desk so we lived without. Other than that the room was fine. There was an odd sliding door next to one of our beds. Someone opened it from the hallway in the morning. That should be more secure.

Having been turned away from the Holiday Inn express late at night we were delighted to find that Premier Inn had accommodation. I have not used Premier Inn for a long time and I’m impressed by what appears to be an upgrade in the facilities.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay of just over 2 weeks. All the staff were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Had a lovely top floor single room an nice skylight window. The Continental breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The Grab and Go breakfast was a good option too. The Italian Restaurant was great and open for lunch and dinner. Food and Service was excellent. The Cornhill is perfectly located with plenty of shops and places to snack or take away. Plenty a local buses regularly passing by. Hull City Centre less than 10 minutes by bus. Would definately recommend. Excellent value for money and I would happily stay again.
