Nice little annexe opposite the pub, very quiet accommodation with plenty's of parking . Very central to get to the coast with loads of shopping on the doorstep. There is also a regular bus service nearby . Great food in the pub too

Canterbury bell, easy to access & lots of free parking. Direct loop buses into Margate, Ramsgate & surrounding areas (we primarily stayed here for a gig at Dreamland in Margate) Westwood cross shopping centre was an added bonus. Room was pleasant, clean & spacious..staff very friendly including the lovely gentleman on reception and the cleaners (respectful of the do not disturb sign, but happy to help with clean towels and replenish tea station in room) AC in room was a blessing! The rooms are across the road from the main restaurant (which is nice for peace & quiet) the food in the restaurant was very yummy. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were tidy and clean so faultless really. The only negative was there’s no lift for prams as I was staying on the 1st floor so was hard carrying up my baby to the room using stairs

Food excellent, staff (esp the cleaners) were friendly and efficient. Parking easy and wide range of shopping available very near by if needed. Room very clean. Downsides: no lift (okay for us but others might have an issue). No bed n breakfast option, (a la Premier Inn), and breakfast arrangements slightly confusing. Having to traipse party/cases through a (busy?) restaurant to get to check-in/reception gave a poor initial impression. Would happily use again or recommend

Clean room but had a lingering damp smell. Kept the window open in an attempt to remove it. Room needs better care. Some repairs have been done but paintwork not matched. Damp damage evident in bathroom nearest wall adjoining room. Lots of limescale marks on taps, toilet flush and kettle

My recent stay at your hotel was deeply disappointing and far below expectations for a supposed 4-star property. The air conditioning unit was excessively noisy, making it nearly impossible to relax. The room was infested with bugs and ants, which was highly unhygienic. To add to the inconvenience, there was no shower gel provided—only hand wash in its place. The window had a gap, rendering it far from soundproof, and we were disturbed all night by loud car tire noises and conversations from people on the ground floor, as our room was on the first floor. The constant noise made it impossible to sleep properly. Based on this experience, I would rate the hotel 1 star and cannot recommend it.

The room is not designed for a wheelchair user. The bathroom was not clean The was a pungent smell in the room that kept you awake all night Having a wet room is one thing, have a room for a wheelchair user is another a) a plank of 4- 2 wood as a threshold is a wheel chair users nightmare d) clothes rail that is to high for a person in a wheelchair to reach c) a shower fixture to high to reach One tea bag and one sachets of sugar, for two people on a two night stay is very poor. No room service, No draws to put clothes in Last but not least, the traffic noise is constant all night as the room is very so close to the road.

The room we were given (204) was spacious enough for a family of 4. The beds and pillows are comfortable and we all slept well. Unfortunately the mouldy smell meant that the window needed to be open 24/7. I suspect the air unit is filled with mould (we didn’t use it for this reason). The bathroom had no window or extraction fan which doesn’t help. The staff were friendly and we checked in late at 11pm across at the pub (easy). This place has potential but it is definitely not worth the £100 per night that we paid.

I have stayed here before and it was great. Unfortunately this time I had room 201 which must have been next to / above / below some sort of boiler or machine that vibrated and whirred all night long, constantly. Did not sleep at all. Otherwise it is a good hotel.

Overall I was really impressed with the facilities especially for the moderate cost. The room furniture was very minimalist and being a lone traveller of 74 years it would have been helpful to have somewhere to put my travelling case for access to its contents other than on the bed or the floor. The room temperature was also very cold on a couple of occasions.

It’s located equidistant between Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate with free parking. The room and bathroom were looking a bit tired. It was reasonably comfortable, fairly quiet and fine for one night.

Very clean room. Quiet. Good spacious bed. Black out curtains. The power of the shower needs a boost. More hanging space and drawers needed if staying more than a couple of nights. Excellent value for money and a great central position to visit different areas. For us, it was to see different beaches.

This is a hotel room which I wish I could transport with me around the UK and stay every night in, the whole experience was superb. Wonderful friendly, efficient and professional welcome and check-in at the adjacent public house which was also a nice place to enjoy a pint and the food looked exceptional. The room was in a stand-alone building next to the pub, everywhere was very well maintained and presented together with being spotlessly clean and it contained everything you require for a long or short stay. The bed and mattress topped with great linen provided for a wonderful night's sleep, all aided with a big modern television and excellent Wi-Fi. The en-suite bathroom was also spotlessly clean, the shower had good water pressure and the towels nice and fluffy. My only issue was the internal noise from other guests coming through from the corridor. Located next to a Tesco Extra and the Westwood Cross Retail Park, the hotel is easily connected with the Thanet bus network with direct links to Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate town centre and railways stations via the ‘Loop’ and 34 buses and to Canterbury by the number 8 bus. Highly recommended to all.

Friendly staff. Our room was disappointing due to the chronic noise from the ventilation going on and off every few seconds, which meant we had little sleep! The Canterbury Belle bar looked very bright and appealing, but the rooms are dark, with poor lighting. We won’t be returning!

Absolutely couldn’t fault it. The room was great. Plenty big enough for a family of four. The facilities linked to the rooms were fantastic. The breakfast available was extensive & real value for money. Also the room rate was an absolute bargain. Very, very impressed!

Amazing customer service . This was booked for an elderly relative who had to move rooms on 3rd date (own choice). Unfortunately she forgot to check out but the staff made sure all her belongings were moved safely into the new room and out in correct place until she returned that evening.

John and his team run the place with grace and pride - really good location and everywhere locally is easy to get to, also it’s close to shops so can get things if needed for kids / family. Will consider staying there again for next trip to the locality.

The rooms are across the road from the main restaurant (which is nice for peace & quiet) the food in the restaurant was very yummy. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Great location as about 10 minutes for Margate, Ramsgate, Botany Bay etc! Staff extremely helpful and the food at the pub was lovely! Great value too

Very clean and comfortable, close to huge shopping centre which could maybe be both a pro and a con but we made the most of it! Staff were kind and helpful and we had everything we needed. We wanted to be close to the beach in Broadstairs and the loop bus takes 40 minutes- wish I had researched this- it's a nice scenic route though and a much shorter journey to Margate, so we went and had dinner there one evening. It is also a shorter journey to Ramsgate and had we had more time we would have spent longer in all three places as they are all great. In a car it is a short journey from Broadstairs (8 minutes according to google maps) and the pub is in Broadstairs but also only a hundred yards or so from both Ramsgate and Margate, right on the border of the three. I'd recommend it.

Stayed in a family room which was adequate for our needs, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly aswell. The location was very convenient with Westwood Cross shopping center nearby and was no more than 10 mins away from the beaches in Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate. Overall we would defstat here again.

Room was ok. Disappointed in the fact the restaurant was closing at 8pm...nothing was mentioned when we booked and we travelled 4 hours didnt eat as we thought we would eat in the restuarant. But all that was on offer on boxing day was a 3 course meal which consists of Christmas dinner Luckily the Hooden Horse was open and it was very accomadating so we had food and drinks there.

The evening meal I had was very disappointing. I chose the chicken, ham and leek pie, I do t know how you can call it a chicken pie when there were only 2 pieces of chicken in it!

It's a nice enough hotel for the price. The beds are comfy! The Full English breakfast was really nice (my husband said it was the best he had all week!), but the continental breakfast was a bit too basic!! I would have expected some ham or cheese, but there was only jam and nutella. The kids could eat for £2.50, which is great, but they would have loved a cup of chocolate milk. Overall, we had a good stay. We paid £75 for the night for the family room, it was a good deal I think.

The cleaning staff were really helpful and friendly. One of the staff helped my husband upstairs with his suitcase as he had a bad back. Check in was a bit of a kuffafle as we arrived during Sunday Roast lunch service and the Reception was located near the end of the tables. You cannot see it from the entrance. Food not so good. The steaks we ordered were really chewy gristly even though we ordered two types of steak and medium rare. The shopping centre is very close as were other restaurants.

Overall, it was amazing. The room was large, fairly comfortable and very clean. We were well looked after. The room rate was reasonable to average, and it was fair value rather than an absolute bargain. We ate in the restaurant a few times during our six day stay, as a couple and as an extended family. Food was perhaps a tad dearer than similar places we've all visited lately, but the quality was very good and the service was fantastic. (I can't single anybody out, because each time everybody was excellent.) The convenience and ambiance of the restaurant are a big plus factor. You will have to dig deep into your pockets if you're on a party weekend, as the drinks in the restaurant were quite expensive. Quite a bit more expensive than other bars and restaurants we visited in the area. If you're a Wetherspoons regular, prepare yourselves for a big shock.

The room was okay, suitable for what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was again good for our needs. The air conditioning was annoyingly strong with no ability to change the set temperature - we had to turn it off to warm the room up. We booked for 2 nights Thursday & Friday, and then on Friday we decided we wanted to extend an extra night. We found that despite a double room being free, we were unable to book this online or through the reception as a requirement was set that we would have to book 2 nights. This was frustrating, and also led to you missing out on an extra night.

We recently stayed at Canterbury Bell and had a good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day.
