Room was large and very comfortable and we had a view of the ocean (altho not all rooms face the water). There is a swimming pool and tennis court. We have been traveling for more than a month, in many fantastic cities in Spain, France, and Italy. Typically at 4 and 5 star hotels. This was a gem, and the value was outstanding. The property-the building, the rooms, the gardens, the views-is spectacular. The restaurant was amazing. Chef Marco was a one man show, and his braciole was unique and innovative while still reminding me of my Sicilian-American family recipe. He also made the delicious Tiramisu at our table, with flair and charm. Having eaten at several “starred” restaurants on this trip, with much bigger staffs, my wife and I both could see Marco with a star of his own someday. In general, the staff were charming and very helpful. If this was in a town that was more touristy than Messina, it would be three times the price! The only challenge is the location. It worked great for us because we were looking for a relaxing stop before heading to Taormina. But it is a bit far from the rest of Messina. Fortunately, you really never have to leave.

Staying at Villa Pulejo is a unique experience in like staying in a historical masterpiece. The facilities were modernized but you can still visualize the grandeur this mansion was built for. Walking around the grounds we found treasures like the centuries old magnolia trees, meticulously kept garden and the original horse stable. Staff went above and beyond without smothering you. Fruits came from groves on property. We will cherish memories made during our 9 days stay.

It was a beautiful property, completely private. Wasnt sure from online but it looked like it was walkable to sea but you just can see the water. You also can not walk to other parts of town as its a gated properyy up on a hill. But the grounds are beautiful trees and flowers and bushes.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and it was an experience for life! This wonderful and magical mansion lived up to all expectations and it was as a picture straight out of the castles from Romeo and Juliet. The garden was a paradise, the mansion was beautiful, while the rooms were clean, highly modern and minimalistic - which made for a really cool combination of the feeling of living as royals in the nineteenth century while still being able to enjoy the feeling of being in a top modern hotel room! The service was out of another world: we arrived after dinner was being served, so the chef stayed behind almost two hours for us alone! We had a personal waiter/waitress for all meals and the service could not have been better! The people working there were really welcoming and warm, and they went out of their way to give us the best experience possible. All in all, this was a magical and beautiful place and I would absolutely love to go back one day!

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and it was an experience for life! Prachtige verblijfplaats, zeer mooie statige villa. Bij aankomst was het personeel zeer behulpzaam en lieten ze ons echt welkom voelen. Parkeer mogelijkheden op het terrein dus zeer handig wat betreft bagage. Rustig en stille kamers ( wel langs de autostrade gelegen dus als het raam open staat hoor je dit wel) Locatie ligt op 18 minuten rijden van Messina (waar het bovendien lastig parkeren is). Eetgelegenheden in de buurt zijn zeer beperkt dus een auto is wel echt een must. Verder zijn we wel echt tevreden van ons verblijf! Mooie plek!

The hotel itself is a palace style building with beautiful gardens in its grounds. The rooms are modern and renovated, and the staff are very friendly and professional. Breakfast was included and very good. The price is low for this kind of hotel. If you are staying in Messina or in the area, it would be a mistake not to stay here!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the villa. The grounds are beautiful & the hotel beautiful. Christina & Byron were amazing. So helpful and professional. It is quiet and away from city but close enough to get there by taxi or car. I would definitely recommend to friends & family.
