I prepaid for my room when I booked it and with I hadn’t done that. I got into town around midnight and checked-in, then went up to my room. Only there was someone IN MY ROOM. I went back to the front desk to report what happened. She was confused. I told her that what had just happened was very creepy. It’s also very dangerous. What if I, a female, was sleeping and someone came into my room? After way longer than it should have taken to just give me a new room, but was given a new room. Luckily this one was vacant. I do have questions though. Because she called the room and told the person she showed them as being checked out. He was clearly not. So the room obviously wasn’t cleaned. And she gave me a room that was not only occupied, but also uncleaned. Do they not keep track of this stuff? I ended up sleeping in my scrubs and shoes. I for one thing, I was on edge and worried about someone entering my room. But also…the room was very weird. Absolutely no artwork anywhere. It had a dingy vibe. And with no artwork it had an enormous feeling that made all the problems with it more evident. It was just a bad experience at a dingy hotel and I thought I was going to be staying at a nice place - it’s under the Marriott name, after all. The Aloft I stayed at in Manhattan was beautiful. I was hoping for the same here, but I couldn’t wait to leave. The front desk lady did give me a drink ticket for a bar that was closed and a breakfast ticket. But I feel I should have been comped.

Clean, quiet and relaxing. Perfect little getaway. Pool was nice. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Housekeeping was excellent!!!!

The hotel rooms need to be updated. Every ALoft I have ever stayed at has a quarter of an inch crack between the shower door and the wall that lets a ton of water out onto the floor. This place was advertised as a Marriott but is actually an ALoft which I plan on never stay at again. The room seemed old and the bed was like sleeping on plywood. This area is a nice area and expected a better experience for the money. Oh and Parking was Terrible. No where to park and ended up in the parking garage which is a walk from the hotel.

Second time staying there at the Aloft, always very quiete seems like no one is there which is good. Staff very friendly and helpful. The gym is a plus and downstairs amenities are great too.
