Excellent service at reception, bar and restaurant, the young ladies were so friendly polite and helpful, even organised meals for us after the kitchen had closed as we arrived late, foods great drinks great, view from the restaurant and rooms was amazing, very clean rooms, very comfortable bed, highly recommend , we loved it so much we booked a few more nights.

Stayed in the spa/ outside jacuzzi suites and it was ready to use. Extremely clean hot tub, the hotel provided beautiful delicious meals and cocktails , the beds were so so comfortable. A nice few days away with hubby just relaxing, taking in the scenic views overlooking the Tamar River. Will definitely come back again.

Hotel close to the Tamar valley vinyards. Our room had everything we needed and even a spa. Views out over the river made it a great place to have both an evening wine and a morning coffee. Food at the hotel was also pretty good. There isnt too much else around though so you will need a car.

The Premium Room was clean, spacious. modern and well equipped. We had a room on on the top level so had a reasonable good view of the river over the pub and rooms on the lower level. The restaurant had great views of the river, and the pub food was ok (may have been our choices weren't the best). Very friendly bar staff. However the info on this site is out of date regarding breakfast. "Guests who wish to have breakfast Monday-Thursday must book in advanced." We were told they do not offer breakfast anymore. The bakery is no longer there (which is a shame).

Booked for outdoor spa and it didn't work. I had called up later that evening with no help. Next day, when we checked out, I explained the situation and later that day, I had received a voucher because of the spa not working. We've stayed here plenty of times and this was the first time the spa didn't work.

We loved our stay at Rosevears Hotel. The room was modern and exceptionally clean. Communication for afterhours check-in and the process for this was easy. There's not a lot of space in the rooms once you add in two medium sized suitcases, but we managed. There is ample on-site free parking which is great. There is a short uphill walk to the rooms so a suitcase with wheels makes this easier (it is a wooden duckboard style walkway). We enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant on site - with excellent service. Oh, and the hot chocolate sachets in our room were delicious so enjoy those!

When we arrived we were informed that they dont do breakfast. We would have to travel to heave breakfast. Not Happy. We booked into the restaurant. We arrived and were totaly ignored as there was a function going on When we finally were seated, we were told that certain items on the menu were not available. Ater waiting for 15 mins for a kid to return There were other items taken from the menu. We got up & left.when we we're leaving, we did notice, that this function had most of the items we couldnt oder. Poor service. We did get some take away, then realised there was just one bowl to put foid in. Bad housekeeping All up we were disappointed this time around return

We had a beautiful view of the river and hills. Be advised that the hotel is across a small road from the river and not on the river side. Also that the best view units are UP the hillside so be prepared for inclines and/or steps if that is an issue. Otherwise it is a nice hotel with comfortable beds and pretty views in the upper units. The restaurant was very good also. We enjoyed our stay of one night.

Check in staff lovely, room good but bed was a bit firm and probably should be a more medium mattress for price etc of room. Unfortunately our restaurant experience was a little disappointing - there seemed to be a lot of staff but felt a bit like things didn't flow. Drinks weren't checked, wait staff were floating about but didn't have specific tables and some didn't seem to know each other or their role. Eye fillet steak wasn't cooked as requested (too well cooked) and came with an odd mash etc. Some work needs to be done regarding the restaurant and also we were disappointed about the bakery being closed so nothing for coffee/breakfast. Given the location - maybe a drop in room price while things get back on track. Still love the location and the little mini break, thanks

Loud couple in the middle of the hotel walking around naked and having sex in the spa and talking loud for majority of the night till early hours of the morning. Reception staff disinterested. Meal was good and staff friendly at this period of the day a lot of breakfast options and facilities closing. Didn't like conjoined rooms would not have booked if knew this was the case would not stay again didn't feel very private or relaxing.

This is a beautiful property with incredible views. The staff are really friendly and nice. Cleanliness was great too. Sadly the rooms don't have blackout curtains, and the front desk isn't operational 24/7. We had a spa room and from the photos we thought the tub was on the balcony, but it's actually in a separate side area. Still beautiful views but feels a bit more closed than what you see in the pics

Unfortunately our restaurant experience was a little disappointing - there seemed to be a lot of staff but felt a bit like things didn't flow. Drinks weren't checked, wait staff were floating about but didn't have specific tables and some didn't seem to know each other or their role. Eye fillet steak wasn't cooked as requested (too well cooked) and came with an odd mash etc. Some work needs to be done regarding the restaurant and also we were disappointed about the bakery being closed so nothing for coffee/breakfast. We loved our stay at Rosevears Hotel. The room was modern and exceptionally clean. Communication for afterhours check-in and the process for this was easy. There's not a lot of space in the rooms once you add in two medium sized suitcases, but we managed. There is ample on-site free parking which is great. There is a short uphill walk to the rooms so a suitcase with wheels makes this easier (it is a wooden duckboard style walkway). We enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant on site - with excellent service. Oh, and the hot chocolate sachets in our room were delicious so enjoy those!

We had a beautiful view of the river and hills. Be advised that the hotel is across a small road from the river and not on the river side. Also that the best view units are UP the hillside so be prepared for inclines and/or steps if that is an issue. Otherwise it is a nice hotel with comfortable beds and pretty views in the upper units. The restaurant was very good also. We enjoyed our stay of one night.

Hotel close to the Tamar valley vinyards. Our room had everything we needed and even a spa. Views out over the river made it a great place to have both an evening wine and a morning coffee. Food at the hotel was also pretty good. There isnt too much else around though so you will need a car.

Great spot. It’s close to Launceston but in a secluded spot. If you want to get away from noise and traffic this is the place. Spectacular views and the pub is only a hundred metres away.

Our stay at Rosevears Hotel was very comfortable. It was fantastic as a base stop over as it was central to both Launceston and the countryside, without the hustle and bustle of the city. Very serene, quiet and the view is inspirational. I am very fussy with cleanliness and this did not disappoint. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it thoroughly

Excellent service at reception, bar and restaurant, the young ladies were so friendly polite and helpful, even organised meals for us after the kitchen had closed as we arrived late, foods great drinks great, view from the restaurant and rooms was amazing, very clean rooms, very comfortable bed, highly recommend , we loved it so much we booked a few more nights.

When we arrived we were informed that they dont do breakfast. We would have to travel to heave breakfast. Not Happy. We booked into the restaurant. We arrived and were totaly ignored as there was a function going on When we finally were seated, we were told that certain items on the menu were not available. Ater waiting for 15 mins for a kid to return There were other items taken from the menu. We got up & left.when we we're leaving, we did notice, that this function had most of the items we couldnt oder. Poor service. We did get some take away, then realised there was just one bowl to put foid in. Bad housekeeping All up we were disappointed this time around return

The Premium Room was clean, spacious. modern and well equipped. We had a room on on the top level so had a reasonable good view of the river over the pub and rooms on the lower level. The restaurant had great views of the river, and the pub food was ok (may have been our choices weren't the best). Very friendly bar staff. However the info on this site is out of date regarding breakfast. "Guests who wish to have breakfast Monday-Thursday must book in advanced." We were told they do not offer breakfast anymore. The bakery is no longer there (which is a shame).

Rosevears was a beautiful setting a top the River. The accommodations were satisfactory where the view is the highlight. The reception and dining room is detached from the individual cabins which is a bit of an inconvenience to walk to especially if it's raining, but when the sun is shining the outdoor terrace makes for a most spectacular experience. The staff is so kind and helpful and it is the best place to stay on the river.
