The property was clean, and nice. Our bed was broken. It was nice to have a pet friendly place to stay.

Lack of parking space only issue

We booked this hotel last minute. They sent us a text with all the information we needed to access our room since we were checking in after 9:00 PM. The motel is really cute and the rooms match the vintage vibe. The room had everything we needed and was pet friendly. They provided a cute welcome basket for the pups. Would stay there again!

Close to the busiest road, very noisy, no parking at motel,

Room was clean and comfy, the bathroom was clean but a little outdated. The parking lot was small and hard to maneuver. Overall a good stay.

Very cute & clever decor. Clean room, friendly staff. The bed was not real comfortable & the motel parking lot is not sufficient for all the rooms. They did have motel parking available at the restaurant next door

We enjoy this little place when visiting Astoria. It’s easy to get to, close to shops, dining, etc. They have a large room that forts our family and furry family. Rooms are cute, beds are comfortable and it’s clean. There’s tea and a Keurig in the lobby. We’ve always gone out to breakfast so can’t speak to the free breakfast offered. Staff has always been pleasant. No complaints.

Motel rooms are clean, Parking is limited spaces,so get there at check-in time to insure a good parking spot.

Room was very clean. Didn't interact with staff much but the person seemed nice. Only gripes are that the walls are really thin, and the thermostat only seemed to turn the heat on/off so it gets really hot unless you open a window.

The amenities and location are great and as expected. But we found old food in the microwave from a previous guest and dirty underwear between the mattress and the wall. And it wasn’t hidden away, it was in plain sight. No idea how housekeeping missed it. The motel was great otherwise but the bad housekeeping kinda ruined the stay. Cleanliness is important!

Bathroom was old and dirty

Opened up the door to a wave of cleaning supplies odor. At first I thought it was spray but later found the inside of the microwave to have the same smell. I aired it out for 4 hours with open windows and a fan and was then able to sleep but with clogged sinuses for the next 2 days. Carpet had large stains and felt dirty. Bathroom vinyl looked filthy and was sticky. The desk was very sticky and I left the tissues stuck to it when I left. Also no parking so had to park next door with a couple of cars with people in them in the middle of the night (homeless). The bed seemed clean and was comfortable.

The walls a very thin, and we heard TV noise from both adjacent rooms. There was also a wet rag on top of the shower curtain rail (From the previous guest? Leftover from cleaning?)

Comfortable, clean, great vibe, and affordable. The staff is kind and the stay is always wonderful. We will be back soon.

The property is quite charming and looks great in photos, which led us to believe everything would be fine. However, upon arrival, we were immediately hit with a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hotel suite. This was especially surprising given how much emphasis was placed on their no-smoking policy when we signed the paperwork. Unfortunately, the smell lingered so much that even our clothes and luggage carried the scent by the time we got home. If you’re in a bind and need a budget-friendly option, this place might do in a pinch. But if you’re traveling for vacation or tourism and looking for comfort and a pleasant stay, I would recommend exploring other accommodations.

We recently stayed at the Atomic Motel with our 9 month old baby, although accomodating and conveniently located this motel needs a serious deep clean, it was dirty enough to make me pull out some lysol wipes and clean the sleeping areas myself. Being on the cheaper end of motels in the area it still was not worth the price we paid.

Check in friendly. However, we discovered no air conditioning. Very noisy traffic. Not sure how this hotel got fairly good ratings. Unable to speak with a manager for refund until the next day, even though we weren't wanting to stay. If one likes old 50-60s era retro hotels might be ok. We left and stayed elsewhere.

Super clean and great staff. Quirky decoration in the rooms was nice. Walls were a bit thin. We could hear our neighbors snoring but the front desk offers ear plugs. Overall great stay.

The 1950's theme was originally well-executed, but has obvioulsy not been refreshed since inception and is showing its age. New paint and surface repairs are due. Room lighting is inadequate. Rooms have no air conditioning and no telephones. Walls are thin and there is no setback from the main street, so both traffic noise and noise from other guests is loud. Bathtub and walls were dirty. All window screens were loose and had gaps. On the plus side, desk staff and housekeepers were efficient and friendly. Bed was comfortable. Refrigerator, coffee-maker and microwave all worked well, although the refrigerator's freezer unit needed defrosting.

The queen bed was so very uncomfortable and the soundproofing in the room was not so great !! Decor was of course super cute location great !!

The staff is friendly and efficient. The room is clean. There's no A/C so when the weather is humid the room is a little uncomfortable. The tread is unsafe on the stairs up to the 2nd floor.

Pros: The property is newly renovated and the furniture is all new and in good shape. Memory foam mattress is super comfy. The rooms are quiet despite the property being right on the main drag. Nice view of the bridge and the river from outside. Check-in and check-out were easy. The nightstands have LOTS of readily-accessible outlets and USB charging ports for your personal electronics. The doors use a keyless combo pad to unlock so no key to worry about losing. Plenty of dining options within walking distance and a minimart just across the street, and the ice machine is complimentary. The TV has full cable with on demand. Cons: The bathroom fixtures are showing their age and the water pressure in the shower could be better. The rooms have heat and a box fan but no AC, so if you like to sleep in a cold room you'll need to keep the windows open and/or get creative with that fan. The doors have a chain lock but no deadbolt. There's no overhead lighting in the main room, so if you keep your curtains closed the room is going to be dim even with both table lamps and the bathroom lights on. No landline phone in the room. Overall: basic but cozy, reasonably priced for a weekend getaway, a little bit of a walk from downtown Astoria but easily within walking distance of just about everything in town.

Overall was good for our short stay in the area. Close to the bike path. Mini fridge available. There was a fan to help with white noise for highway traffic. The bed was so soft and “U-shaped” that I almost got my camping mattress pad out and slept on the floor.

The staff at check-in was very nice. The room was a bit outdated and needed a fresh coat of paint; there were spackled spots that were not painted over. Also, we could hear our neighbors come in late and everything they were doing in their room! It was cute, but we were not able to get a good night's sleep.

The staff was friendly and the room and bathroom were clean. The bed was not that comfortable and in showering, the water could go from hot to cold and vice versa without having touched the knobs. Seems like when people are using the water in their room, it affects the water temp in other rooms. I also wouldn’t mind being able to get into the office for breakfast a little before eight, say 730.

Spious room. Fast wifi. Microwave. Refrigerator. Think we got a children room. Shower, toilet and sink were low (room 102). Water pressure was very low. Low lighting.

So I chose pay at the property and 3 days before my stay the hotel took the full amount out of my account. When I called them and asked why they did this they said it's their policy and that third party sites will say anything to get them to book. What this did was it took all of my gas money to get from Boise to the coast. I wound up having to put everything on credit cards and pay interest on money that I would have had had they actually let me pay at the property. This is my second stay there in the exact same room. This time I realized exactly how bad the condition of the rooms actually are. When you look closely. There's an adjoining door in the room and the handle literally fell off when we walked by it. It, the window seal and all of the caulking and the bath room is terrible and warped, and the curtain rod was literally coming out of the wall. The beds were super uncomfortable. Uncomfortable. The springs in the one that I slept in were completely broken. It literally felt like a bed that you would have gotten off the side of the road or something. Staff was great and friendly and the room was clean but for $240 a night you would be better off to stay at motel 6 or somewhere else. We drove 35 minutes and stayed in Long Beach. Washington tonight for $100 less in a room that was a hundred times nicer. Unfortunately, I do not see myself coming back to this place. It's a very cute idea to take a retro motel and make it retro themed, but it's cheaply done and you can tell.

Everyone was so friendly and super helpful. We absolutely loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The Atomic is convenient and meets the expectations of decor. We did not run into the friendly and helpful staff, however. When we checked in, the desk clerk was working her first shift on her own and was understandable concerned about that, but made no effort to greet us or be friendly. I forgot the room code at another time and went to the office. A different desk clerk just looked up the room number and gave me the code without checking for ID. We started our trip down the coast in Astoria. We had made reservations for 3 nights and on the first day, I checked to see if we could cancel the third night - better than 48 hr. notice. The desk person talked with, stated that she doubted her boss would go along with the cancellation or the offer of a future day to stay. She said she would leave a note but I heard nothing back. They were sold out for all 3 nights, but I was most concerned about the lack of effort to make any communication. We live in OR and often make suggestions for services on the coast to guests and friends. We stayed in 4 other places during our trip and this was by far the least helpful. I will not recommend the Atomic.

Late evening check in and didn’t get in office on time to check in. Called and they made it a breeze over phone to check in. Love everything about this Atomic Inn!

This property is great, funky, and fun, but needs a little refresh. The staff are friendly, fun, and professional. No amenities fees at this property. Imagine, everything is included in the price of the room! Actual hospitality in the hospitality industry. They provide coffee and a continental breakfast, which is included in the price of the room. My only complaints that are within the control of the hotel are the thin walls and the hard mattress. But thin walls aren’t too much of an issue if your upstairs and side neighbours are considerate. Great neighbours either side of us, but the ones above us were a complete nightmare. They stomped around, slammed doors, and argued loudly all night. They smoked (non-smoking property) and threw their cigarettes on our car, which was parked below. We were finally able to start to drift off to sleep around 5am only to be woken by the terrifying sound of squeaking bedsprings. Luckily, that lasted less than 60 seconds, but provided a lot of insight to the rage displayed above our heads the entirety of the night. The front desk was lovely and told us we should have called the number provided to complain about the louts in the room above us, but previous experience has informed us that when loud and insufferable jerks get a warning about noise, they become louder and more insufferable. We had just hoped they would burn out at some point so we could get some sleep. Hotel and staff are wonderful.

We called and asked about pets, They said 2 dogs were welcome, no mention of additional fees. I reserved, paid for the room noting the 2 dogs. When we arrived we were hit with a $136.56 pet fee, on top of a $590.42 charge for 2 nights. $726.98 for a cute outdated small room with no AC, mold in the shower, chipped porcelain in the tub, and spackled walls in the bathroom. Aside from that, it was a nice place, pretty clean, quiet, and comfortable stay.

At 6:30pm, I received a late check in text from the property. At that time I figured it was just in case I arrived at a late hour. I arrived at the property at 7:10pm, only to find the office closed. In the check in text, the office had randomly assigned me an upstairs room without first asking if I might prefer a downstairs (as I have bad knees, a downstairs room would have been much better). After I got to the room and set myself up, I turned on the tv, only to find I had no picture. I texted the service number provided by the property - twice, without receiving any response. After some research, I found which company provided the cable for the property and searched their website. Over an hour after arriving at the room, I finally had tv. When I went to check out in the morning, the office was still closed, so I texted the number from which they sent me the late check in text to inform them that I was checking out. This property is the first where I have experienced these issues with check in and out.

This motel has a lot of retro personality which is fun! It's right by the waterfront in Astoria, so super convenient to the waterfront walkway. I just walked down to the main downtown area to get food and shopping.

Bring your earplugs to get a good night sleep. The motel is located right on a busy road. Other than that, all is good. It’s easy to get to where you need to go (101 is close by).

Very cute mid century retro theme. They even have Jetsons on the tv in the lobby. Breakfast isn’t open until 9am which is late for most. There is a pig pancake in the parking lot and a 24/7 minimart next door. Easy to find. Very central downtown Astoria location and close to the river walk. Overall our stay was great.

Quirky but comfortable. Everything you need right nearby or within short walk. Close proximity to all that is Astoria.

The location is right on the waterfront by the bridge. It’s an easy 5 minute drive to the city center where you have many choices for food and entertainment. Convenient Pig ‘n Pancake restaurant next door for breakfast.

Great location for an overnight. Fun rooms with early 1960s retro look.

Super cute 60s vibe. Room was clean and we were able to walk downtown for dinner. The Silver Salmon had great clam chowder.

The breakfast could have been better. Even though it was continental. Healthy muffins would have been great.

A very unique 50s style property decore that is clean and pleasing. It made for a good stay. Staff was friendly enough. Sits within walking distance of multiple food options, shopping and attractions. They had coffee and a continental breakfast in the AM (time was a bit inconsistent for start) A great price for a good comfy motel.

We picked this place because of the 50's theme AND because they offer a small quick continental breakfast. Nothing fancy, muffins, oatmeal, pop tarts, coffee, fea, cocoa, apple cider. The staff is amazing, pleasant, and helpful! The room was clean, the bed was very comfy.

Very clean and bright property. Very nice service. Center of Astoria, close to the water. Right next to Pig 'N Pancake (recommend). Very light continental breakfast, but for the price a great deal.

Really cool 50’s decor. Each room has its own art posters. Beds were comfy. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was carb heavy but they did have home baked muffins and fruit was fresh.

The office and the coffee and the very small breakfast did not open unti 9:00 a.m. This was inconvenient and way to late for people who wanted to travel. Will not stay here if we ever travel in this area again.

The bed was comfortable. Loved the 50’s theme and decor! Very convenient location. The only thing we didn’t like was how late the lobby opened for breakfast. We are early risers and 9:00 is too late for our coffee. And no coffee is the room. We ended up going to the Pig and Pancake.

The remote was not paired with the TV. The sink faucet was very stiff. Tile around the tub should be re-done. Patches to tile did not look professionally done. Staff was pleasant. The lobby breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.
