Very expensive for one room with shared bathrooms. Guests were outside chatting in the morning right outside my door, but I guess that can happen in a hotel too… very confusing front and back door entrances so the delivery people, Ubers and I kept crossing paths and not meeting up in the right spots. You’re in the middle of a neighborhood and a very busy street, so be ready to order food if you’re hungry. The train isn’t too far a walk. The host was very sweet.

No tv, no ac, alarm went off all night long. Stuffy in room, opened window, very very noisy with traffic. Bathroom shared with three rooms, had been told private bathroom in the room. Thin walls between rooms. The lady that checked us in tried to be helpful.

Very nice clean room with comfortable bed! Thd kitchen was well equipped! I did not like sharing a bathroom. The entrance to the house on the back alley. The iron sliding gate came off the railing and we had to put it back on.

Very neat little place, I stayed there for 9 nights and was satisfied. The place is a 2-story building built partially inside a hill so from the front, it looks like a single story but the rear has two floors. The single twin bed room was spacious and has a wardrobe and desk so you can organize your stuff, the bedding was soft and the sheets are plentiful enough that you will not be cold. There are two bathrooms, one is smaller and the other is much larger but the shower there has the temperatures inverted, so the cold (blue) side is hot and vice versa. The kitchen stove works and heats well and the electrical kettle and toaster also work fine. The lights in the kitchen are wired weird, usually only one will turn on at a time until you figure out which ones you have to press on both areas. The groundskeeper, Maria, was very nice and takes out the trash every couple of days. Nice place, would definitely stay there again in another downtime period.

We stayed here overnight while going to a wedding nearby. It was a good price compared to the alternatives we looked at and suited us fine. Maria wa very friendly and responsive and accommodated our particular check in needs. We were able to use the onsite parking which was nice. The room is small but comfortable with the bathroom right across the hall. No TV, but that's not a problem.

The room was clean and comfortable enough given the reasonable price. The backyard is very beautiful. The owner/manager is kind and welcoming. Here is only one thing to be desired: I hanged a bath towel I used at the first night in the room to dry. It did not get dry even after 3 days. I do not know if this is due to low temperature and/or humidity in the room. Other than that, I am basically satisfied.

Terrible experience. When I arrived, host told me I she can not give me the room I booked because bathroom is not functioning. There was no communication about that prior to my arrival. Instead, she suggested a room in the basement. I refused, then she gave me a room in another guest house, twice smaller with very small shower. There was no hot water in the shower, just barely warm. When I told about my concern, I was told I have to be happy with what I have. Trash in the kitchen was not taken out for long time. When I asked the host to empty the trash , she told me cleaning lady has to come. But for now, be happy with what you have. I booked for 4 nights, but left after one night.

There was a caretaker Elena living at the property, she was pleasant and kept the place clean and showed us around the place even though we arrived late. Maria the owner was very accomodating and was there to check us out. Would definitely recommend.

The room itself was nicely decorated and clean, service was great however the shared bathroom had a dead bug and the walls were incredibly thin. You can unfortunately hear every little thing through the walls.

Good points: Great location, especially for the metro and links into the main city. Good comfy bed. Bad points: Dry wall = zero sound proofing, awful. Had to wear ear buds daily. Bathrooms - clean but very outdated. Even fixed the broken toilet and adjusted shower during stay. Rooms - very basic Would not stay again.

The host is extremely friendly, the room and facilities such as the bathroom are fine. It is easy to get to the city centre, as the metro station is 10 minutes walking away. Cafes, shops and restaurants are also within 10-15 minutes. But the hotel is located right next to a very busy road, which means there is a lot of street noise. Overall, the place offers good quality for money for Vancouver (which is super-expensive), but don't expect the Ritz-Carlton.

I had no direct contact with the rental. I contacted Expedia within 15 min of making my reservation for my sister and me to cancel. I asked for confirmation and received none. Continued to get information that we were expected.

This was a fully furnished guest house with a huge bathroom and a safe parking area inside a fence. The owners were there every day and quickly responded to requests.

Very expensive for one room with shared bathrooms. Guests were outside chatting in the morning right outside my door, but I guess that can happen in a hotel too… very confusing front and back door entrances so the delivery people, Ubers and I kept crossing paths and not meeting up in the right spots. You’re in the middle of a neighborhood and a very busy street, so be ready to order food if you’re hungry. The train isn’t too far a walk. The host was very sweet.

Good points: Great location, especially for the metro and links into the main city. Good comfy bed. Bad points: Dry wall = zero sound proofing, awful. Had to wear ear buds daily. Bathrooms - clean but very outdated. Even fixed the broken toilet and adjusted shower during stay. Rooms - very basic Would not stay again.

The host is extremely friendly, the room and facilities such as the bathroom are fine. It is easy to get to the city centre, as the metro station is 10 minutes walking away. Cafes, shops and restaurants are also within 10-15 minutes. But the hotel is located right next to a very busy road, which means there is a lot of street noise. Overall, the place offers good quality for money for Vancouver (which is super-expensive), but don't expect the Ritz-Carlton.

Call and plan the time of the arrival. I was confused where the entrance was but luckily I found some service to cal and they came to the entrance within 5 mins. After that everything was beautiful.

Basically just a bed and a shared bath. Nothing very cozy about it. Close to the subway line for getting around. BUT there are no restaurants around - have to eat somewhere else. And, it's very difficult to get to the place - you have to walk along a dirt path next to a high-walled fence and dodge bushes.

This is the first time I booked an airbnb type of stay on orbitz.com. it's great. The place is in a quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to Queen Elizabeth park and a few minutes drive to downtown. Maria is nice and very helpful. We feel comfortable during the stay. We will come back next time visiting Vancouver.

The room I was first given was a basement and not well cleaned. I found an ugly multilegged insect on my bed and another small spidery thing on the curtain. I couldn’t sleep. In the morning I texted the owner and she was understanding. And shifted me to another top floor room, which was much better. Apart from this, the owner said that normally, for a late arrival (mine was around midnight), she charged 50 bucks but it was ok. As if it was a question of charity. Nothing was mentioned about check-in or late check-in. Had I known such things I would have decided accordingly. She also insisted that I take care of the property. ’Normally she takes a deposit, but from me she wasn’t!!’ The lock of the room doesn’t work. This sanctimonious behaviour was not a good start but I am thankful that I was given another room and my Vancouver trip was not ruined. I won’t recommend the place. Considering the worth of money paid.
