The front door was always locked had to be buzzed in. Side doors couldn’t be used. Had to have door keys re-keyed twice. Only two towels in bathroom. When asked for more was given 4 medium sized towels. Beds were comfortable, air conditioner worked really well.

The property is very dirty. It does not look at all in person like it does in the pictures. There was hair all over the bathroom floor, greasy stuff on the walls, the bathroom counter was sticky, the bathroom door handle fell off, the rooms stunk, the halls stunk, no working ice machines, the indoor pool was closed, no washrags available, the carpet smelled like wet dog, the breakfast was junk because it was cereal, stale bagels, warm milk, no juice available, no meat, no eggs, just junk food. That whole place needs to be repainted, carpets professionallly cleaned, the whole building needs to be professionally cleaned inside and out, more towels and washrags should be available, the front desk employee should be friendlier and not look like she hates life. I will give it to the maintenance man. He helped us more than anyone and he had a great attitude every time. I would not recommend anyone paying the prices they are asking for this place per night. Its absurd. They should be charging motel 6 prices if they let that place stay in the condition its in now.

Just noticed that there was old pee collecting around the bottom of the toilet. And it was obvious that the room wasn’t vacuumed. There was specks all over the carpet and a old dried up French fry. The pool wasn’t in working condition. The whole reason why I booked this room was for the pool. No coffee in the room. And none in the lobby as stated in the description. The breakfast was not worth paying the extra money for either.

The doors to the hotel were locked when we got there at 5pm, there was no one at the desk to help with check in. We had to wait 15min for someone to get there. Bathrooms were disgusting with hair on the wall of the shower.

We got a room with a fold out couch and 2 beds. The couch was broken, would not fold out properly. We told the front desk, and got a Sorry, we're full. There were no sheets, pillows or blanket for the couch. We asked and got 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases. No blanket or pillows. The room wasn't very clean, and the sheet rock around the windows was crumbling away. The pool and hot tub were closed. Luckily we were only there for one night. We won't be back.

first room given was still uncleaned, the second was muggy and moldy in between the beds and center nightstand. no bedding left for the fold out couch and the front desk only had sheets available, no blankets. Pool was not open, breakfast sign just said grab go and not full. Staff was nice- seemed like they were trying but just not quite up to par.

Pool was not available due to renovation and elevator went out a couple of times but staff and facility as a whole were accommodating to the best of their availability I would stay here again compared to other places in the area

The building needs some repairs. The key machine was broken so the front desk clerks and manager had to escort guests to their rooms to let us in our rooms. Besides that inconvenience on both the staff and guests my stay was pleasant. The staff are very friendly and professional.

Pool out of service, shallow dirty water and hot tub empty. Room unlocked upon arrival with no towels. Questionable cleanliness. Remote control looked chewed on, buttons all missing, stivky texture. Blankets torn & stained. "Breakfast" was unacceptable, 5 bagels, 7 apples, stale cereal & milk, bad coffee, nothing of substance. Microwave smelled like death, was filthy. Bath tub stained & rusted Only perk was being next to highway, the cable & refrigerator

Bathroom tubes are nasty lights on the bathroom mirrors is half way out sheets had spots on them and towels was dirty and to switch rooms cause the first bathroom tub had hair all in it like someone just left out of there tv was still on etc second room was no better

I typically stay at budget hotels. Don’t need all the fancy stuff, just a clean room. This place needs some real house cleaners. Dirty, used soap with pubic hair in shower, with dried snot on the walls. No new soap also. The bed had hair on sheets and pillows. Come on !!! I doubt this room was even served, but if it was, fire the cleaning maids. UNACCEPTABLE !!!

The hotel was very dirty and smelled very bad of marijuana. The bathroom was dirty and so were the bed sheets. My kids were very uncomfortable staying there. When I went down to front desk to talk to them no one was anywhere around.

This is one nasty hotel. Bathroom was so nasty, didn’t even clean it from previous residents. Was offered a different room and ran into the same results. This hotel is run down and nasty.

I had to book this hotel on a whim because the place opposite gave my room away because my train from Albuquerque broke down. Although it didn't have a full kitchen (something I look for, but it was 2:30am) there is a store right behind it with plenty of fresh and frozen food to prepare. The beds are super comfy. The A/C is a little old and musty smelling when on cool, but that was fine because I always travel with scented candles. I am on an every-state-in-America trip for the next 4 years, but also have to work every day, so peace and quiet is very important. This hotel is great for that. It's busy in the evenings but never noisy. I say it IS great for that because I extended my stay for an extra 2 weeks. Lots to do in Shreveport, and a perfectly good place to come back to. Last but most certainly not least...the staff here are awesome. Very friendly and professional. Handled any issues promptly to 100% satisfaction. If I come back to Shreveport, I'll stay here.

The a/c unit would work properly. Every 30 minute it would shut off an not come back on until you shut it off to rest . Hot water took forever to get hot . Water was leaking around window seal

The area around this property seemed depressed. In arrival there was a young man sitting around in trashy are directly across from the entrance in the parking lot. It seemed he was hungover. This was a bit suspect. The front doors were constantly locked (good). Upon arrival there was no one at front desk. I had to ring a bell and wait for front desk to release the door to enter building. My room was clean but the carpet was worn ragged where the tile met the carpet. When I first got to my room the door was open. Door to room could be pulled back past door stopper. The service was good and the staff was friendly.

Heavy rain today resulted in significant leaking into the building. This hotel has seen better days. AC is a little weak. Rust/stains in the tub. rust/wear on the furntiure. Both bedside lamps broken, but three functional lights. Keurig in the room, but nothing but decaf available (I checked downstairs). It's a bed, fridge and microwave. Not much else.

Heavy rain today resulted in significant leaking into the building. This hotel has seen better days. AC is a little weak. Rust/stains in the tub. rust/wear on the furntiure. Both bedside lamps broken, but three functional lights. Keurig in the room, but nothing but decaf available (I checked downstairs). It's a bed, fridge and microwave. Not much else.

Well, the girl who checked us in was RUDE. She said no early check-ins even with me asking to pay the fee. Get into the room, NO LIGHT BULBS!!! Bathroom mirror doesn't work, no bath towel, floor wasn't vacuumed and the mirror wasn't wiped. The coffee pot had ashes in it. Absolutely TRASH! We ended up leaving after check-in and seeing the room.

I paid my money, checked into the hotel, received my key, went up and upon entering my room there was a young man and a baby inside of my room. I went downstairs & the front desk immediately apologized and agreed to work with the third party sight to issue a refund. The following Tuesday I was told my refund would be issued by the General Manager. Now it has been a complete 7 days and my bank states that my card was never scanned for a refund. $128.85.

I’ve stayed in 20 properties in the last 10 months, and by far the staff here were the nicest. Always a smile, a chat, or a joke, and always have time for a question. The windows don’t open so it’s A/C only but that’s to be expected with the weather, so if you’re an asthma sufferer this may not be great for you, otherwise it’s great. I have to work while I travel so peace and quiet is essential. This place is just that. Even in the evening when it gets full, it’s still very quiet. I got lots of work done here. I will most certainly be coming back this way.

This property has potential but needs to do better on breakfast and cleanliness. Pool not working when you have 90+ degree weather is sad. There was never enough breakfast or any selection you got bagels, coffee, tea, and occasionally juice. Bathroom shower floor needs a scrub brush to get cleaned, not knocking the property but basic hospitality is expected so at least get to that level, just a little more effort. Staff was friendly but not efficient though.

Waited 30 mins to be checked in, clerk was nowhere to be found. Then when she showed up, while checking me in, she walked away and got on her cellphone again. Lobby was full of other people waiting to be checked in. Patio area was filthy lights did not work. Breakfast was horrible, no coffee, no juice, no cereal had a few pieces of fruit out. Also, employees parked in handicap parking. My husband is handicap and we had to park on the side. Neighbor is very shady as well.

The front desk staff were wonderful. We had to switch rooms 3 times. The first room was extremely hot and we could not control the temperature. The second room had a machine running to fumigate it and it said to use only in spaces that no one is in.

Lobby and workout room were nice. Hallways reeked of pot. Room was old and outdated, bathtub had yellow stains all over it. Area around hotel was very dicey. Can’t get into front door without a room key, even for check in. I understand this is for safety but even at 3pm it is keycard entry only. We had to wait 10 minutes outside of hotel for front desk to buzz us in to check in. Once in, front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

I checked in, went to my room and immediately booked a room at another hotel on my Hilton app. Room looked clean but smelled horrible. Not sure what the smell was. Driving into the property, back area populated with people hanging out drinking. Not a safe area, especially for somebody traveling alone and from out of town

The area around this property seemed depressed. In arrival there was a young man sitting around in trashy are directly across from the entrance in the parking lot. It seemed he was hungover. This was a bit suspect. The front doors were constantly locked (good). Upon arrival there was no one at front desk. I had to ring a bell and wait for front desk to release the door to enter building. My room was clean but the carpet was worn ragged where the tile met the carpet. When I first got to my room the door was open. Door to room could be pulled back past door stopper. The service was good and the staff was friendly.

The stay was fine but I was disappointed the breakfast I thought it was supposed to be a full breakfast and it was just pastries which I cannot have so that didn't do me any good. The exterior of the property is in pretty bad shape. The photos on the website are older, I'm guess it was when the property opened photos. There is just a large cloth or paper sign attached to the exterior of the building with the del Mar name on it, as soon as I saw that I was scared to walk in. Also there were a lot of people walking up and down the street and behind the property in the neighborhood kind of made me feel a little unsafe. The room had a wet spot on the carpet and the room smelled kind of musty I have allergies and so this was not the best for me. If you're looking for a good deal and you're not too concerned with the exterior and location this is your place.

Staff was very nice. Room comfortable and big. Plenty of electrical outlets. Wish their swimming pool was usable; sign said renovations, open in the future. They need to repair the automatic door cam, secondary door into lobby only opened half the time. Fortunately I was able to signal door for someone else to come in, and someone was able to let me in later. Also, disappointed there was no Continental breakfast (or coffee) in the dining room as advertised.

Beds and room were good! We enjoyed sitting outside but there was a bus stop or something because there were alot of foot traffic. The dollar store also had alotnof people sitting ouside trying to get your attention.

Breakfast was awful! There was no food! No coffee! No juice! No water! It was 8:30 in the morning. I asked the front desk to restock the breakfast items. The guy came and put slices of bread and a few muffins on the tray. Of course we had no butter, jam, or anything else to put on bread slices. The pool was also empty of water. No sign letting people know the pool was out of commission. The front desk guy worked at a sloth’s pace. I would not recommend this hotel. Even the tv remote was broken in our room! At least it was clean.

The next morning I was assuming a full-loke breakfast like they said when I booked the hotel. It was very disappointing. We had to go outside the hotel for breakfast. I’m glad I was from the area so I knew a few spots to go to.

Just noticed that there was old pee collecting around the bottom of the toilet. And it was obvious that the room wasn’t vacuumed. There was specks all over the carpet and a old dried up French fry. The pool wasn’t in working condition. The whole reason why I booked this room was for the pool. No coffee in the room. And none in the lobby as stated in the description. The breakfast was not worth paying the extra money for either.

Terrible!! Go somewhere else. They never provided room service, never had clean towels, when you’d bring your dirty towels down which was every single day, you’d have to wait until the clean ones got done in the dryer, tv only had 1 channel, lights didn’t work, receptionist was never at the front desk, I called the manager Kendra & she said she was going to comp me a night for my troubles, she never did, I called and left several messages but never heard anything back. Bad part of town also!! I’d never recommend anyone wasting their money here.
