Holiday Inn Express and Suites Detroit/Sterling Heights by IHG

Breakfast was stale and bland. Recently microwaves "veggie & egg omelettes", turkey sausage patties, biscuits and sausage gravy. The pancake machine was a neat gimmick, but I'd have preferred less rock-like biscuits, some sort of pork product, and/or some potato. There were also no grab and go items or boxes like most Holiday Inn Expresses. The rooms were fine. Sheets were clean. Missed more than a couple spots vacuuming, but the main trafficked items were clear. Would stay again if on sale (it's more in line with the more budget stays in the area) but wouldn't recommend it verses others under the same banner or class.

we really only had to sleep here, so except for the rolling bed not being in my room as requested at check in when we got in so late everything was good.

The hotel was bright and clean. The frustrating part was that in a 2 day stay, we had to get our key cards fixed 9 times. Yes 9. Very frustrating. The breakfast was pretty bad. Clean is huge to us so we were grateful for that. And the beds were comfortable.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and well-maintained, which made it feel comfortable right away. What stood out the most was the staff—they were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again.
