I'll get my gripe out right away, I paid more $ for this hotel because it had a hot tub. Turns out the hot tub was out of order due to the equipment being flooded the night before. So after 10 hours of driving there was no relaxation in a hot tub for my family. I was told the equipment was replaced and that the water is heating back up, perhaps so but it was eventually closed with an out of order sign for the night and morning. We only had 1 night here. Ok, other than the hot tub issue everything else was very good. Clean rooms, lobby, eating area, elevators, exercise room. The bar seemed small but I didn't use it. I do question the use of a sliding door for the bathroom, it doesn't seal very good and there is no loud fan in the bathroom, so every bathroom noise is heard in the room, this seems to be a common thing with hotels now. First breakfast was great and so was second breakfast an hour later. Long hours, good variety, need to keep the milk colder longer. I'd give 5 stars all around if the hot tub worked.

Great pool and fitness room, very attentive cleaning/supply staff in the breakfast room, good breakfast. Only issue was not enough parking spaces, but front staff was helpful in dealing with the issue.

Super clean-Front desk especially warm, welcoming, and very professional. Room was too small for children-no place for kids to move. Pool and hot tub and outside picnic area was nice terrific.

This hotel is very nice. The beds are always clean and super comfortable. I like that they supply a hair dryer and an ironing board and iron. The hot breakfast is a bonus and the pool and weight room are great.

Room was spotless. Minimalist design makes it easy to clean. Lots of towels. Staff was very helpful. Nice to have breakfast buffet on site. A good variety of food types. Not amazing but tasted ok and adequate for getting breakfast and getting going. Very quiet also.

This was the worst Hampton Inn! Our first room had a smell and dirty (the first thing my wife does is grab a Lysol wipe and we couldn’t believe the dirt on first swipe)! Called downstairs and he said he will move us , he went to a different room and stated “I was going to put you in room # but that has a funky smell, so I moved you to floor 5” While in the elevator I mentioned how disappointed I was and he turned around and said “ well that’s your opinion “ Got to our room on the fifth floor and it was terrible but my wife wiped it down and we dealt with it! When closing the curtain we noticed it was broke and hung using zip ties so I mentioned it to same guy (so we wouldn’t get blamed) the guy stated “we are aware” We took lots of pictures and my wife has been in management for most of her career, she showed the manager on duty the next morning and she had nothing to say! If anyone wants to see the filth and mold we still have pictures because we will send them to corporate

Room had dead bugs on the floor. My room was showing reserved on the staff computer so between 11:45pm and 12am a staff member was knocking on my door. Not a great protocol to check if the room is being used.

Outside was tidy and plowed. The staff was friendly. The sheets, pillows and towels were clean. The mattress was not as comfortable as other rooms I had stayed in. The horizontal surfaces were clean. The vertical surfaces needed spraying and cleaning. Ex. The elevator doors and buttons, under the bathroom sink that you see when you sit on the toilet and the walls in the bathroom. The door handles needed cleaning as well. The breakfast area was well kept but they should have a creamer dispenser and not use all those small creamers, better environmentally. Overall a good experience.

The lobby and breakfast staff were friendly, and the common areas were clean. Unfortunately, my room’s bathroom and tables were dirty. Housekeeping was unavailable, so the front desk offered cleaning supplies, but even after scrubbing ourselves, the tub grime remained until we bought stronger supplies. While staff were polite and helpful, the lack of housekeeping affected our stay.

The lobby and breakfast staff were friendly, and the common areas were clean. Unfortunately, my room’s bathroom and tables were dirty. Housekeeping was unavailable, so the front desk offered cleaning supplies, but even after scrubbing ourselves, the tub grime remained until we bought stronger supplies. My husband and I have stayed here several times because of its proximity to my son’s home. The breakfast area, choices and cleanliness are excellent. The woman, Susan who manages it is friendly and helpful. Though our check in was simple and quick we noticed during our 5night stay that there frequently was no one at the desk. Twice we called the desk with a question. Once the phone was answered after 14 rings, once it wasn’t answered at all. We took our grandchildren to the pool and there were no towels and no one at the desk to help. The condition of the hotel is starting to go down. We had a towel hook coming off the wall in the bathroom and the window shade is beginning to shred on the sides. For the first time we noticed noise in the hallway and in the room above us which disturbed our sleep.

The room and pool and hot tub were ok, but not the cleanest ever. Beds were hard. In the king room the fan blows right on you, which woke me up every time it kicked on.

Some hard to see surfaces could have been cleaner (handprints on black room door, previous occupant had spilled something on carpet and tucked-away ottoman) but otherwise very clean. Bathroom was especially nice and the room is designed for efficient use of space. Breakfast and pool area were very clean every day, even when they were busy. Beds were comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again for the location and the quality of the stay.

Nice room, clean and quiet. Heating/cooling unit somewhat noisy even at low fan Tepid water in shower on the first day, second was normal so they fixed the problem. Coffee in the room was awful, fortunately the coffee in the lounge was fine but means a trip down first thing in the morning to get a wakeup cup. Internet slow and glitchy . It is being upgraded but not soon enough to help me.

The hotel had a pop Warner football game the night we stayed and kids ran wild thru the halls all night long. After complaining the hotel told me to take up with Expedia and made zero accommodations. Very poor and unacceptable customer service!

I will for sure be choosing this hotel again when we visit the Rochester area. The professionalism and courtesy of the staff was above reproach. It did not matter what time we were coming in. The people were so nice and professional. To be honest, the customer service felt like we were staying in a high-end hotel. The breakfast was just okay, but the hotel as a whole was the best mid-level hotel we have ever stayed in.

I had booked a 2 night stay for a king bed with a sofa bed. When I got to my room, I saw that I only got a king size bed with no couch (we paid extra for the bigger room). The staff told me that the room you book and pay for on Expedia is not the room you are necessarily going to get. I was very upset over this. The hotel did end up letting us move on the 2nd day to the correct room but we spent a whole day stressed over the situation and paid one day for a bigger room than we actually got. We didn’t know until mid afternoon the 2nd day if we could get the correct room that we paid for. It was extremely stressful. After years of booking through Expedia, I will probably now book directly with the hotel to avoid this upsetting and stressful situation. Also, while the hotel did help for the 2nd day, we were left hanging and worrying if the situation could be fixed. We have stayed there many times before without incident. Was bothered twice while DND was on the door about “our smoke detector alarming down at the front desk” until Maintenence removed it for being broken/faulty because we definitely DONT SMOKE and showed them the room and lack of any kind of smoke anywhere (leaving my whole family in danger if there were an ACTUAL fire as they left us without a fire detector that whole night) when I voiced my concerns and asked if I would be reimbursed for such an inconvenience/danger to my family, was told the manager would be contacted and I would hear back. Never heard back. Sad for the Hilton name to be attached. Disappointing to say the least. Stayed 3 days, never again.

Serena greeted us when we came in and was so sweet and friendly! She was all smiles and super helpful. What a sweetheart! She was back again the next morning and was again all smiles and so kind. She went above and beyond. Miguel who works the night shift was also so nice!

Extremely noisy until 2am, people running yelling up and down the halls and rooms. Tries to address this with the night front desk staff. She was extremely rude and not helpful.

Quiet area with little road noise, very comfortable beds, being able to access 3rd floor rooms from back parking lot is a nice perk. Easy to get to local suburbs and Rochester’s downtown. Great spot for families or business travelers.

We had a lovely stay at the Hampton Inn Rochester Penfield! The hotel is in a convenient location, just about 10-15mins from downtown and in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved the pool and the daily breakfast was also great. Staff were warm and attentive. Overall, a wonderful stay, and would stay again if we were in the area!

Room was spotless. Minimalist design makes it easy to clean. Lots of towels. Staff was very helpful. Nice to have breakfast buffet on site. A good variety of food types. Not amazing but tasted ok and adequate for getting breakfast and getting going. Very quiet also.

I will for sure be choosing this hotel again when we visit the Rochester area. The professionalism and courtesy of the staff was above reproach. It did not matter what time we were coming in. The people were so nice and professional. To be honest, the customer service felt like we were staying in a high-end hotel. The breakfast was just okay, but the hotel as a whole was the best mid-level hotel we have ever stayed in.

Water poodles in the bathtub, disgusting; no night light in the bathroom, extreme bright to use at night. The curtains we not sufficient, the roll up blind was smaller the window and would not darkened the room enough. We had a family on top of our room, with children running and jumping off bed way past 10:30pm, it was a nightmare.

We checked in very late Friday and checked out Tuesday at noon. No house keeping came to make bed, refresh room etc. We asked for toilet paper since we were about out on Monday, and house keeping did respond right away with clean towels and supplies. Overall, clean hotel,friendly staff. Continental breakfast was average. Coffee below average. Would stay again.

The room smelled like a wet dog. Not sure if a dog was in the room prior and it wasn't cleaned good or when mopping the floor the water is dirty. This is all you could smell. I'm staying at the same hotel in October for a wedding & this is where the out of town guests are staying, I hope all the rooms do not smell like this.

Overall a good place to stay. Close to Fisher and Naz. Area around the hotel is lacking. Hotel stay was definitely overpriced but we booked the week of. I’d stay again for a less expensive night.

Lovely hotel but the staff was not the least bit friendly. Could hardly understand the night manager and she seemed put out by it. The morning lady was a bit better. She at least smiled and said hello. Whoever cleaned left us 1 cup and no toilet paper!!

We ended up with a room that wasn’t originally ours. Booked a king got two queens. The room was 75 degrees when we got in it. The drain in the tub was broken, the towel hanger was literally hanging off the wall, the hair dryer was so hot it was partially melted around the heating element! The shampoo and condition in the shower were empty- good thing I packed mine. Breakfast was just okay- waffles, premade omelets, over cooked sausage patties. At least the coffee was fresh. Wouldn’t stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was super nice with kinda staff! The room was very comfy as well! My one grow would be that half the outlets didnt rly work or were loose (which idk is safe). Also the closet and bathroom shared a sliding door but that's just me going "the heck? Lol" nothing rly bad about that part, just threw me off xD The pool andnhot tub were such a nice thing to have after a long hike along some hiking trails x x overall, love ☆♡☆
