Hampton Inn Rochester Penfield

Reserved a king, went up to the room to discover 2 queens. Front desk said it was changed prior to check-in due to being "over sold". I was never notified. They wouldn't offer a discount because the two rooms were technically the same price. The room didn't have a lot of convenient options for outlets near the beds. Average cleanliness, average condition. Hampton Inns are starting to decline in quality. Breakfast was ok, not as good as other locations. We won't be going back to that location, and we might start staying at a different chain. We weren't as impressed with Hampton Inn the past year or so, and this location clinched it for us.

I booked an accessible room but my room didn’t seem accessible. The door didn’t have a lower peephole. The bathroom mirror was so high I couldn’t see in it, the hand soap was so high on the wall I couldn’t reach it (good thing I bring my own soap) and the beds were a little high too. If I was staying longer than one night I would’ve requested a different room. And the bathroom doors don't lock, they are a sliding barn door. That’s weird a bathroom door should lock!

Hotel was great. Fantastic experience!

No military discount, staff had no idea about discounts. The pool was small and over crowded. Alarm went off at 7 am for some burnt toast no announcements or calls where made so we all had to try and get out at the same time
